honestly a good beginner start to thriller is any Frieda McFadden book because they are so quick paced and you can likely finish in one sitting. mostly with thrillers you've got just read a few to see which kind of thrillers you like. also recommend Lisa Jewell ,Freida McFadden,Alice Feeney and Riley sager
