No introduction is a bad idea Fareed Zaharia. Sam Altman, Jeremy Hunt, Albert Bourla, Julie Sweet, Marc Benioff
Ty
Frfr I looked everyone up and I try to follow this stuff
Thank you. ChatGPT and Google Images both refused to id Marc Benioff too. 😅
My feeling exactly. At the very least give us their names and title. I had no idea who they were at first beyond Sam and Marc. Fareed didn't even introduce himself. And frankly, the questions were softball. I've encountered these in my local network with the same types of responses. And Julie's responses were straight from PR. Jeez. Talk about lack of humanity. Made me think the politician and the CEOs are clueless in this yet they're making the decisions that affect so many.
Thank you!
I am surprised he found a minute of time on the how and why if silencing the phones but not for a proper panel intro.
Not giving in the introduction, at least the name of the panellist is ridiculous. I am 25 minutes in, and I still don't know who are #2,3,4, and 5
names are on the screen. but yes a bit more details would have been nice
Sam Altman is CEO OF OpenAI.
Jeremy Hunt is Chancellor of the Exchequer.
DR. Albert Bourla is CEO of Pfizer.
Julie Sweet is the CEO and chair of Accenture.
Marc Benioff is the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Salesforce.
Don't you have google?
The only guy who appeared somewhat genuine was Altman. What a bunch of carefully choreographed corporate hypocrites.
The Salesforce ceo also seems genuine to me
Argentina wasn't very held back
Sam, just better at acting than the rest... nobody gets an in vite there who isn't one of theres.
@@xraylife That's true, to an extent, however Sam is the first name most in the business think of when AI comes up nowadays. They likely simply wanted him there as a big name to attain more audience.
Yes. I stopped watching when the woman was reciting her piece.
We really should've done an introduction, I know no one except Sam Altman and Marc Benioff.
Same
Indeed. Just first and last name quick would do it.
So, Jeremy Hunt asked GPT about himself. If that is the level of expertise politicians have then we are doomed.
People who don't think ChatGPT is useful often use the the example of "I asked it about myself and it gave wrong information."
Relax buddy. The world isn't interested in using ChatGPT to learn about you.
Goes to show Kissinger was right about some people craving introductions.
OK I will talk to the lady. She is my customer. 😘😘
So hire smarter and more educated politicians from the sciences. Give the job to someone who can really do justice to it.
I can tell you something about Jeremy Hunt that AI cant - he seem to be unable to choose right socks to his suit :)
Isn't that kind of natural for a public figure? It's the AI equivalent of Googling yourself.
Zakaria really should have asked chat gpt for questions
The questions were absolutely terrible
What a time to be alive, huh fellow sapiens?
I know, right? I just realised "sapiens"... well, does it still apply?
Hopefully my children get to enjoy this while actually enjoying being alive
How hard is it to edit out the first 2.5 min?
1. Fareed Zakaria, CNN
2. Sam Altman, CEO OpenAI
3. Jeremy Hunt, Chancellor of Exchequer, Treasury of the UK
4. Albert Bourla, CEO Pfizer
5. Julie Sweet, CEO Accenture
6. Marc Benioff, CEO Salesforce
Put your phones down, everyone! You're completely missing the essence of being here, in the moment, experiencing this panel live. It's not just about capturing it on video. You're creating a sea of screens that blocks the view and ruins the experience for others. It's disrespectful to both the speakers and the audience who actually want to engage. Turn off your phones and truly be present, rather than hiding behind your screens like mindless zombies!
Were you there or did you watch it on your phone ?😂
Jeremy Hunt asking a model based on old training data who the Chancellor was... doh
Sam starting to go grey. What has he seen.
And just in the past few days apparently lol.
I was thinking the same thing lol
lol forgot to dye his hair
Marriage will do that to ya
Getting fired and rehired maybe - but again yeah, regarding what (Q*)
Nice to know that Sam Altman thinks there could be a place for humans in the future.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is in the process of setting up fundraising for a network of semiconductor manufacturing factories, according to a new report, amid a multi-billion dollar production race for the chips-technology critical for the production of consumer goods and AI products. [Forbes]
SoftBank Group and Abu Dhabi-based AI holding company G42 have reportedly been in talks about raising money for Altman’s project. 2:56 [The Verge]
Are you sure that's what he really thinks? He said it alright bc what else could he say? The level of secrecy (or should I say non publicity) around his many endevaours is staggering.
@@miraculixxs "The level of secrecy (or should I say non publicity) around his many endeavours is staggering." But this is essential and elementary in the business world. 50:05
Many men want their handshake to convey confidence.

Impressively terrible questions
Mark Benioff recording Sam live shows the degree of internal industry respect towards OpenAI. He tried recruiting employees during the chaos but none joined.
Not even an introduction. Do you see why people keep lashing out at these people who attend the WEF? Very elitist. They go there to talk to themselves. How can these people speak for the 'world'.
They don’t speak for the world and they know that. They speak for no one. Tomorrow others will rise. Elites always wanting to boost themselves up. They show off and think they are smarter than the rest of us but they are the opposite.
So, why did you watch it? Couldn't you find anything else to complain about. Just teasing. We know that you complained about a half dozen other things while you were watching this.
Zakaria didn’t start off well. Marc was not happy to be kept waiting for so long to get brought into the discussion.
Marc should not be on this panel.
@@l_karuhangaI like his subtle as an elephant jab at Sam and OpenAI. “We never sell your data, unlike Sam. We have a layer of trust and we don’t care about your data… unlike Sam”
Great shoe choice Sam.
"Nobody knows whats going to happen"
Sort of like every other moment of time in the history of time.
I kind of think the host was not well prepared and unfortunately did not bring out the best from the guest speakers.
THEY TALKED AT BILDENDERG IN PORTUGAL IN VILLA PESTOZA AND THE SEQURITY WAS MILITARY GRADE !!! WHAT DAVOS ???
DAVOS IS JUST SEQUEL !!!
I love your analysis, always on the point. And yes, Xeventy is a game changer. Great project!
Explain more?
bot alert!!!!!!
Excellent video
I have heard some negative stories about Salesforce, and it seems like the platform is losing its popularity.
Tell me more
🤣🤣🤣🤣 They will do 36 billion this year, they are the third largest software company. I think they are doing fine. Why don't you show us how it is loosing popularity, or did you just make that up?
The question is if there will be a place for us ordinary Humans or not when AI is everywhere. And if AI is serving Humanity or if Humanity has to serve the companies and individuals around AI.
Sam Altman's responses are incredibly on-point, to the extent that it almost feels like proof that AGI has been achieved haha. I think he's an incredible person and having a conversation with him would be amazing
I wish the host gave the introductions
Mark Benioff is proof you can get rich without being smart.
Leaning into the augmentation angle seems likely because someone has to bear responsibility for what every AI does.
Thank you 🎉
It is nice if you make sections for this video and skip the first 2 minutes
We need food security, health care available free and world peace!

Right. Get to work.
"the problem of A.I.".. lol! 🤣
Why does it feel like an ai model speaking when Altman’s speaking
Does anybody know the names of panelists 3, 4 and 5, rightwards, please?
3 is Jeremy Hunt
they show all their names on screen at the beginning
Sam "we don't need your data" haha what he means is "we've already trained on that, duh"
he means, "we will not need your data in the future" xD
He's lying. Data is the oil. They all need it and want it. His entire business runs on it.

The lines said by said at 40:00 will remembered for times to come!
Trust but verify?
Bottom line : AI will police the internet.
Artificial Intelligence is reliant on our research and publications. When I requested ChatGPT to summarize Chapter 2 of Harari's book "Sapiens," it promptly provided the summary. I wonder, did OpenAI collaborate with Harari or compensate him to incorporate his book into the AI's training data?
@coindashy112 Maybe he cares! Intellectual property must be respected.
When I summarize data, I also don't collaborate with or compensate the creator (other than with a citation). Why should it be any different for AI?
The Programm doesn’t need the complete work. It can assume based on discussions in Forums etc. and it will hit the point of the book in total.
That’s the fact people do not get and can not grasp!!
what is left for human beings? Exploring "Consciousness"
Zakaria is a terrible host here, and why is musk not there
This talk is not only by Sam. Can you atleast mention the other speakers name in your video title?
People very dramatically overestimate both AI and Sam. It won't end well.
How
People think its magic. Its not. Its just math. Powerful but not easy to get value from
@@miraculixxs the universe is "just math"
@@JoeyLutes exactly what I was going to say
@@miraculixxs but to respond seriously I believe the opposite it’s easy to get value from but it isn’t powerful…….. yet
Sam says how to do AI safe is a societal question, but says that at a WEF conference where a lot of powerfull people from worldwide gather 🤔😄
Can someone share the names of all panelists plus moderator? A bit difficult to see in-video
I can't 😂😂😂😂😂 only two weeks past 😂😂😂
14:55 Yes, social media is a huge concern. Zuckerberg and his empire frightens me frankly. Musk too.. That these defacto kings will inherit humanity’s intelligence as AGI is insane. Zuck’s attention economy has wreaked havoc, and Musk’s pursuit of an open-source solution to centralized power seems like a veiled pursuit for his own power
We need some anti voice fry pluguin for youtube...
lol
At least altman offers some nuance and healthy doubt. Of course the whole discussion dodges a lot of deeper and darker themes, issues and questions. The agenda is a one dimensional one. Accenture: blablabla.
He's not being honest about AI's capacity to replace humans. Don't believe him when he uses the Chess-playing AI as an example. Corporations won't think twice before replacing people with AI if it's cheaper and comparable to human capabilities.
He's saying what he needs to say to prevent panic and subsequent regulation against his company's goals. After AI is widely adopted and replaces humans, he can say he didn't know it was going to happen. But by that point it will be too late to do anything to stop it.
The WEF's integrity sadly like the WHO is questionable. Its time for global moderated debates on these matters and the people behind the hearsay where we all have our say. Thats difficult in these times of gaslighting....truth.Its Time24
No UK company has managed to train a Large Language model, the models out there are from the US, China, and France, I do not understand why JH thinks that London is the leader after San Francisco?
The mill it ary are 10 years ahead - are you get ting it yet?
Google's DeepMind has launched Bard and their consumer product, Gemini LLM which is more powerful than OpenAI's Chat-GPT4. DeepMind was founded in London, UK and now as Google DeepMind is still based in London, currently in Google's already impressive HQ in the newly regenerated area around London’s King’s Cross railway station and transport hub. The future Google HQ also in King's Cross is in the final phases of construction and has been dubbed a 'landscraper' for being as long as a skyscraper is tall. When complete in 2024 the 11-story building will provide some 80,819 square meters of space.
Speaking about the development CEO Sundar Pichai said:
“Here in the UK, it’s clear to me that computer science has a great future with the talent, world class educational institutions* and passion for innovation we see all around us. We are committed to the UK and excited to continue our investment in our new King’s Cross campus.”

The problem is that the bar for doing great harm with generative AI is very low. You don't have to have the technology advance much more to do tremendous harm. That is the problem. It is the unfortunate asymmetrical nature of the threat versus remedy,... much like that which has challenged cybersecurity.
Ok what is your answer? Make the people trying to be honest stop while bad actors advance it in secret?
Just like cybersecurity, awareness, education, and mitigation. The regulations will come when the damage is done. Those who are in the know can manage their exposure to threats, just like the Web.
How's that for an answer,@@kalixmaxwell4742
@@kalixmaxwell4742the answer is that regardless of who is in the running, it's ultimately a race to the bottom and we are already past the point of no return.

Did you see the ambush on Sam Altman which the moderator orchstrated at the end of the panel?
Yeah, he is in great demand now).
Zakaria is boring.
The interview could have been better if there was a better interviewer.
Look into the eyes of Sam Altman, you see a Howard Roarke/John Galt ! It's fascinating and intimidating as well.
It doesn't matter. If you write article, it belongs to you as intellectual property. It cannot be used or scraped in any way or format without permission. It doesn't matter "it's not how AI works". You are stealing.
It’s not a database. It’s a model.
So what do you suggest?
Do you think all countries will defend your rights to your writings?
We need to figure out a new way to do things because if we artificially hold back progress in one country, the next country will jump ahead.
There's no easy answers, but the simple fact is there's no way to stop what's coming (barring catastrophe) and the stakes are too high to risk falling behind.
5:19 love how he mentions waymo bcs he has beef with elon and doesnt want to mention tesla 😂

Who is on this panel?
Never mind artificial intelligence, try using some real intelligence instead.
Not a very human way to start a conversation of international interest. Please, next time, do introduce the members of the panel; what each person says means something else when you understand their background or from which point of expertise is speaking. Manners keep us human.
Wow Bourla’s not in prison yet?
I don't think AI crops rice or wheat or similar food items as safely as man can do. If it does, great. Still human intelligence + Ai is much better than AI.
