      I think we can trace back the origins of a lot of the the patriots championships to Robert Kraft. I was at games in 1993 (had season tickets). They were ready to sell the patriots to St. Louis. A place the LA Rams would move to a year or two later. Kraft changed the whole narrative in NE. Betting the house on Belichick (trading those draft picks) was head scratcher to me at the time. But then again, I didn't think Brady was goat after his first season, even after winning their first SB.
      But after 5 years, i could tell this guy is unhuman.

      @chuck jones Kraft bought foxboro Stadium in 1988 and wouldn't let the Pats leave New england. He bought the team in 1994, pats have had just 3 losing seasons with kraft as owner

    @17:42 I was at this game (-21 degrees). It was the coldest I'd ever been in my life. The Beer was solidifying in the paper cups. It would freeze the water out of the beer and you would literally be drinking straight alcohol. But was an amazing game and it was the beginning of a change in what would become this team as a dynasty.

    30 years ago today was December 26, 1993. Gametime at Foxboro was -21 windchill!! They stomped the Colts 38-0. My dad and I had season tickets for years, but it was a day to visit friends post Christmas. We went to an old bar called the Lightship in Lawrence MA to watch the game. It was, to this day, the last non-sellout at home, and the 2nd last locally-blackout game. A great memory!! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

    Drew Bledsoe's career has been maligned by the fact Tom Brady 'took his job'. However, from 1993-00, Bledsoe was on an arc akin to Dan Marino. He was a prolific passer. His passing yards, attempts and completion totals in several seasons were very gaudy and/or led the league. His teams were competitive for the playoffs many times. Brady rightfully took his job. But Bledsoe was one of the best QBs in the NFL during the 1990s and might have been a HOF-level QB but for Brady. But NE probably does not win SBs with Bledsoe. Hard to imagine Bledsoe doing what Brady did.

    • @albertoramirez5977

      Luke Enno Bledsoe was a hell of a qb

    • @Odawg96
      @Odawg96 5 років тому

      I'll say this about Bledsoe: he was a lot of fun to watch. He was incredibly good when he was ON or incredibly bad when he was OFF. It was one extreme or the other. He was one of the premiere passers of the 90s, and I had pencilled him in has a Hall of Famer. Today, though, you've got a whole generation of Patriots who don't know or respect Bledsoe's place in team history. They damn sure wouldn't know about a guy like Hugh Millen.

    • @scottaznavourian5791
      @scottaznavourian5791 5 років тому

      The only comparison u can make with bledsoe to marino is his postseason failures. Drew never even had a season where he thru more then 28 td passes...never even had a rushing td for his first 7 and a half seasons

    • @Odawg96
      @Odawg96 5 років тому

      @@scottaznavourian5791 I wouldn't compare the two of them outright. Different styles of offenses. Bledsoe never really had his own set of Marx Bros. By the same token, Marino never had his own Ben Coates or Curtis Martin, for that matter. They both threw tons of passes and were both adept at spreading the ball around. I would say the reason Bledsoe didn't have numbers quite as big as early Marino was because Bledsoe actually had a legitimate running threat in Curtis Martin. Tony Nathan was good, but his specialty was catching passes outta the backfield(like Terry Kirby, Keith Byars, and the other guys who came later). I don't think Marino had a thousand-yard back until his twilight years. That makes all the difference in the world.

    Say what you will about Drew Bledsoe but him being drafted by New England turn this franchise around to what they are today he took them to the Superbowl in 1996 then was injured in 2001 losing his job and beginning the greatness to the best quarterback to ever play the game that being Tom Brady. I was so happy when my Buffalo Bills signed Drew Bledsoe we had no leadership at the quarterback position since Jim Kelly retired Drew Bledsoe came into Buffalo and made this team exciting again yes we did make the playoffs but man did Drew have an awesome first season in Buffalo
