Really glad to see Austin on here, he's an incredible vocalist and deserves way more recognition! He's easily on par with the other Deathcore greats. I've loved his vocals ever since I saw his video for "The Morphing Mound" last year and it's great to hear him doing new music, all the new tracks are awesome!

I just know Austin’s going to offer a lot of good insight he seems like the rare kind of vocalist who both is really good and actually knows what’s going on from a technical perspective.
For some reason a lot of the greats have no clue/very limited knowledge what’s going on lol sometimes makes me wonder if I should have just gone for a “sounds cool and doesn’t hurt” approach to it

Dickey is incredibly underrated, he's one of the best for sure. Up there with the lorna shore vocalists.
This was awesome. As soon as I saw Austin on the thumbnail I was like "Holy shit it's happening!"
Also the tonsils thing, I have a bit to say on that. My false chords are fine, nothing too extraordinary and my fry screams aren't bad either but I can use my actual tonsils to make distortion and it's a completely unique sound. Discovered it years ago when I was just messing around and now I can pretty consistently use tonsil vocals to scream along to some songs. It sounds mostly like a slammy or goregrindy type of vocal for me

If you love outros, check out, if you haven't already, Slaughter to Prevail's I Killed a man. The mid section of the song has an Iowa-sque vocals to it, but the outro is just chef's kiss. It has such an atmosphere to it.

I enjoyed this episode! The fact that you got Austin here is so fantastic! A lovely, sweet, genuine, and beast vocalist. A gentle giant for sure. But I also feel he's still very underrated and needs a lot of exposure. He is one of my idols and inspirations in the metal community right now. And also, if I could choose someone to be my older brother, I would choose Austin.
A person like me who doesn't have any experience doing these harsh vocals the right way but is already a fan of metal and also wants to learn in the future and become a vocalist myself, this video is fascinating to watch. When a video is 30 minutes or longer, I don't usually finish it. Not with this one. This video is very engaging to me, alongside the Dickie Allen co-reaction. So thank you for inviting him. Although, it saddens me that this video premiered just a few hours before Austin's band For the Likes of You announced they were disbanding. RIP.
With all that being said, hopefully, we get more of Austin in your channel reacting to his other band/project called Dark Watch, or my most requested, Guillaume Villeneuve of Beyond Deviation. That guy is a freak of a vocalist too! You should invite him in the future and react to their song White Noise or 10,000! You're going to love it, I promise you.

austin dickey is very underated. Like, very underated! He is one of the best in the game
towards the end when Austin demonstrates his tunnel sounds with the tongue bunched up with a wide open mouth he has the sound and power of Alex Terrible... I'm guessing Alex uses the same or very similar technique, its first time I've seen someone demonstrate and explain grizzly tunnel sounds that way, anyway... would be awesome if you could get Alex on one day.
