What I dont understand is, while wearing the ring, can the prong get snagged on something and bend it back losing the diamond/stone (i'm pretty hard on my jewelry). I guess by watching the video, I've always thought , for some reason the metal was very strong. But in reality, the prong seems to be only a very small brace. I watched the tension ring and I dont understand physics of how the metal is made so strong to apply tension to the stone (also wondering about the strength of a little bitty prong). when making the videos, I love to watch, but I would like to learn as well. Can you recommend a book that explains this process?
What is the name of the tool/ plate you use to make all the settings? The one you hammer the setting into to taper it. Is there somewhere i can buy one?
