Please be sure to be patient while doing this activity and follow instructions as it is a daunting prosses to watch you wig "turn purple"...trust the science and rinse out after a full 15 minutes Note that the inner cap structure will dye. Not the lace but the synthetic elastic material between, and making up the tracks seam. Be sure to wet the wig with warm water before dying for even colouring!!! This is so helpful!! I just got a blonde wig for cosplay that’s way too yellow.
I've dyed using the rit dyemore using only the dye and water simmered in a pot on the stove. No alcohol needed.
Indeed I have done that as well, check out my other vids in the playlist❣️ although I was scared to turn the wig purple that way, I just wanted a tone so I think this was safer… maybe I’ll do an experiment to tone the Stovetop Method but it’s gotta be an expendable wig😂 send what you did with your hair in @heinous_hair on Instagram I’d love to see🤩

If you're not to use hairspray with alcohol how can you use alcohol to color without damage ???

Alcohol still damages some. Everytime alcohol comes in contact with plastic or any type of synthetics it compromises some. But everything wears out even if left alone to sit in a closet. Color will fade etc...
I don’t know anything about hairspray yet but I can promise the wig did not get damaged from my alcohol treatment😌

Ever so slightlyyyy but I found it looks better on my complexion and if you’re who is in your dp I guarantee you won’t mind the difference on your skin, maybe having to do with being “redbone” apposed to someone who’s “white” or “yellowbone”. It takes away any gold which someone with less yellow tones, and more red tones will See and prefer... Thanks alot❣️

For the difference between the 2 wigs at the end of my video, I used 3 full Rit caps. If you want a bit more obvious tone then maybe do another 1-2 caps but I suggest have enough alcohol that you can try with just the 3 caps to start. Purple shampoo won't do anything to it because it's synthetic which is pretty much plastic. I tried it and it failed. LOL

About 10-15 mins sorry I didn’t include that and then make sure to rinse cold water , it seems like hot melts it off the hair... good luck🤗❣️

No Water first and let sit overnight it would be darker.
What is the alcohol for?
Not sure how to word it but whatever chemical reaction happens with colour dye, it melts the colour into the fibres different than water can.
Like a catalyst that temporarily opens a door and allows a chemical to pass through a barrier or membrane to enter

don't understand this Alcohol thing I mean,you don't add alcohol to your clothes when you dye them with rit. I've only ever used the rit for synthetic.. and dylon using salt because that is what you add to the washing machine when dying clothing using dylon to help the dye grip... but, nah . don't get the Alcohol thing

I really don't either but it definitely has to do with the fact the the fiber is not organic like the other linens we're used to. I have never used Dylon and don't dye in the washing machine?? all I know it the heat with the alcohol penetrates the synthetic fibre. we're figuring this out together! thanks for the comment
@@ellemental9948 yeah those are valid points! That's facts, if you use alcohol on synthetic hair it's really gonna fray and dry that shit out. That's a terrible idea your gonna ruin your hair! Do think the detergent hack is valid? To smooth out the bottoms when frayed?
@@emilyrose6546She had said she did it before using just water and it didn't work so she did it with rubbing alcohol. I've seen someone else do the same exact thing with the rubbing alcohol.
