I Big shoutout to LTA for the COE system. We need to let the world also enjoy this great invention from singapore. One day, just someday, the world will finally appreciate the successful effects of the COE which has been around for, is it been about 30 years already? Still the rest of the world has no genius to see the merits of the sg COE system. What happens when coe is too high for the poor or non-rich? 1. They can become PHV drivers or take PHVs. This increase the demand for PHV cars and drivers to meet the Demand for cars which never really go away . 2. They can take Taxis. So, one door closed, one door opens. The demand for cars diverted to using taxis. So car demands continue to remain or go higher. 3. They can buy second hand cars for 5 year COE. So, COE cannot deter car purchase from this perspective. Its possibly the best revenue generator but i could be wrong. I am super impressed. In science, its something like Perpetual Motion. In Engooland, they call it Vicious cycle. In IT programming , they call it Endless Loop or system hang
Tripartism in Singapore is not going to sustain in the long run. Employer and employee relationship should be that of pluralistic characteristic like that in the US or EU. Unions should be shouting down employers, employers should be employing union busting rules, and government would facilitate.

How about getting Car manufacturers to integrate the COE devices into their dashboard interface for those Cars that are exporting here? I’m sure they can do a better job with designing it. Second issue is for such an expensive tracking device, it should ALSO function as an ANTI Theft device as well for Singapore cars when traveling to Malaysia.
