My personal view is that the spirit of NTUC was already DEAD after President Ong Teng Cheong had passed on. When was the last time you saw our Union actually succeeded in forcing companies with dubious exploitative agendas towards workers to back down?! I only knew of the One Strike that President Ong approved off which succeeded. So as far as I’m concerned after that episode, NTUC was simply operating like a corporate capitalist entity under the guise of a “Union” for the longest time… .

To wear the Lebron James mask (a dark skinned guy) vs his skin color - race is not equal to color, no matter which race beneath that mask. 2. Even if he's just making use of the Lebron James meme, there's no need to wear a Foodpanda tee, he could have worn a basketball jersey or what an African American might wear. 3. There are arguements on his age and development of brain. Well, coming from RI, don't think his intellect is anything but low. Just suggesting there must be a decision making process behind this action. There's a very low chance to me that he just happen to print a Lebron James mask + borrow a Foodpanda tee, just cause it's a very last minute decision to wear on Racial Harmony day and have 'fun'.

It would be better if yah lah but can interview taxi drivers on the issue of app based ride hailing apps , how do traditional flag down cabs survive. Almost a year ago i met an almost 70 year old uncle driving taxi via grab app and he was was very kind and helpful as I was bringing a 43inch tv home. At the end he even had to ask me to give him a good rating where previous passengers have only given him very low score rating 3/5 stars . Dont agree that opposing the acquisition equates to being against capitalism. It is precisely the free market mechanism that results in market failures, and hence the need for social enterprises to exist. The implicit social contract is that these enterprises are allowed to be "inefficient" from a market standpoint because they do not inherently prioritize profits over social welfare. Having an acquisition will make it more "efficient" but that would eliminate the need for these firms to exist in the first place.
