Was für ein geiles cover. Was für ein geiler Uuuuurrrrrr-Alter Text (Googelt nach Zarah Leander!) . Was für ein geiles Lied. Danke Nina Hagen mit Band! What an epic cover. What an immemorial Lyric (Googel for Zarah Leander - Der wind hat mir ein Lied erzählt). What an awesome Song! Thank you Nina Hagen and Band.
Nina Hagen was very fascinated with Zarah Leander, which I think is noticeable in her version of this song. Leander had this deep voice which Nina enjoys to channel sometimes. My point is, everything in a sense borrowed, inspired, an amalgam of different origins.
...i remember the video of Madonna "FROZEN", the black dress turning around her like a tornado...hurricane.....but didnt this video by Nina Hagen come before Madonnas tune ??
@PUNKTMEDIAPROJEKT but Maria Callas was more cliché than Yma Sumac and Nina Hagen isn't cliché, she's one of the few authentically originals artist of the world by far...this is one of the two reason because she reminds me of Yma ;-) the other is her amazing voice!
I'd like to see Nina and Madonna on stage at the same time, in a battle of the voices, and a battle of who is real. I think, by the end of that battle, Madonna will be huddled in a corner, crying, like the little girl she is. Ya Rock, Nina {Grins, showing bloodstained Fangs}
Is this the zarah leander? 2nd time nina paid tribute to the late great swedish chanteuse zarah leander. she also beginning ot sound like zarah as well.
@Bigmouthchick I totally agree with you my friend ... but you went a little detail: in 3, 4 or 5 centuries future children will learn that the angels lived hidden among us around since the twentieth century and the first of them was Nina Hagen ;-D!!
@RoamingWind777 how is Madonna a 'product'??? who's product? its not like her image was invented by record company bigwigs, she always has been in control of her own image..... i like both, they are different, i do think nina has more talent and is more interesting, but madonna has had a very varied and interetsing career and has bought several music genres into the mainstream that were not... i dont see how thats being a 'product'
Long before Madonna had a baby and discovered mysticism, Nina Hagen had a baby and discovered mysticism. Nunsexmonkrock was released in 1982, before anybody even knew who Madonna was. Der Wind hat mir ein Lied erzaehlt is not a rip-off of Frozen; Frozen is a rip-off of Antiworld and UFO. Nina first covered a Zarah Leander song (also written by Bruno Balz) in 1983. Ray of Light came almost twenty years after the fact.
@snowball1988 Well, she was not at first, and in 90-s she was not, but it's a long process of turning into a product. I stopped listening to her since her Hard Candy, which was already far from bringing mainstream... She just repeated that tastless r-n-b- which was mainstream many years before she discovered or rediscovered it. I was waiting for the depth like Ray Of Light, but now I can see it's hardly going to happen.
An amazing and unique artist! With a four octave range!
Zarah Leander wäre stolz auf Nina :-) Danke Nina das du uns diese wunderschöne alte Musik nicht vergessen lässt.
I've known this for a long time, but Nina is one talented lady. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard such an inspired voice in a really long time.
Nina has such an awesome voice. I love it.

Aloha from Hawaii
meine göttin...
your voice tells me to believe....oh the wind baby........
Nina is a genius, Madonna is a product. That's the difference.
Thanks for the clip.
Michael Kostrov.
Whoa. The real deal right there.
C'est une déesse!
@PUNKTMEDIAPROJEKT I would say she's "Yma sumac" of punk!
wiso war dieses lied kein großer hit??
its a mistery...its just a mistery
je ne comprends pas la comparaison entre Nina et Madonna; comparer une personne de talent à une matérial girl!
Ich nenne sie gerne Mutter
And btw, hey Britney!
Here's something for you...
Try your own cover version of this one.
...If you can!!

@snowball1988 You'll see, somehow, someday...
Your argument would make sense, if this song actually sounded anything like "Frozen".
Aloha

The End.
what year is this?
I think this song from the album ,,The Return of the Mother" came out around 2001-2002.
WITCH-KRAFT.WERK.
Weiß jemand aus welchem Jahr das Lied ist?
2000
1937
einmal Wind sein....
madonna ripped off nina in her 'frozen' video. with her black dress that enveloped her?!
totally ripped off nina!!
I dont understand the comparaisond beetwen Nina and Madonna;
compare a talentued woman to a matériel girl!
