as an Italian, I am deeply honored that Sting and his family, live in Italy. I believe that no one has his ability to convey emotions with his songs. For me, simply the best. I went to listen to him live in my northern city of Italy but it is when I go to vacation in Tuscany that his songs touch deeply. Thanks Sting, for the music you give us.
Sting and The Police were more than music. They were a time that took me from late teens to early twenties, possibly the most important time in a young man's life.
Sting lives in Tuscany? He is so damn smart and rich! What a beautiful property! I like how they have revived the place and brought it back to life! Brilliant! Sting lives the Good life and he deserves it because he wrote great songs and has an incredible work ethic! He has literally played thousands of gigs and keeps going strong! He grew up poor and nobody handed him anything. He made his way up by his own initiative and working his way up to great success with the Police and then Solo! I think people who are talented should be rewarded well! I just don’t like it when I see mediocrity rewarded like what I see these days. But Sting deserves everything he has because he worked for it and earned his success! Kudos to Sting for a life well lived!

I'm a huge fan girl. In 2004, I was working a show at the Ford Amphitheater in Tampa. Sting was warming up. I was so close to him. I didn't interrupt him, just listened. I'll never forget it!
What a shortsided vision. For "your money" you got music on albums or live in concerts, so, you got a product that surely he spent months working on. So it is HIS money, not yours.

Never forget seeing Sting on his first solo tour in the U.K. around 1985. He put an amazing band together. (Recorded - Dream of the blue turtles ) One of the best musical nights I’ve ever enjoyed. Jazz/pop/rock heaven.

The worst however was aged 13 going in to school and hearing that one of my class mates had been to see Free the night before. They split up not long after. Visited beautiful San Francisco many years ago and was too jet lagged to go see Daniel Lanois. Grew up, like most with a love of US music/culture. Lived there in my head as a kid. 😀

Well I hope so, since it was vacant and in bad shape. They poured a lot of money into it and hired craftsmen and the small town people to help them rebuild it. It help the economy of the town so I hope whoever buys it has the money to continue to help employ the town people.

Beautiful home and lands! Wonderful outlook. We should always keep in mind that we are merely caretakers of the land for the next generation. The next generation will be responsible for the land for the generation to follow. To bad we act like everything belongs to us and we are free to abuse it as we wish! I didn’t give it much thought at the time but it was stunning to see photos of how clean our oceans were, how clear the air was and how clean the streets were during the height of the pandemic. I spoke to a hospital house keeper during that time and she said the place was much cleaner without visitors, easier to take care of and she didn’t have to put up with a bunch of crap coming from people. No surprise there.

We enjoy working the land through gardening, vegetables, trees and flowers. We work the bees and had a bear attack hives twice until we strap bolted them down stung 7+ times putting hives back together. What a Garden of Eve tended by great spiritual people. I commented to someone else that, I’m impressed because he has chosen to do something of value in restoring that villa, instead of getting his astronaut wings for going “to space” for 3.5 minutes….. Or some other such horseshit theatre.
It’s certainly a much more relatable endeavor for me, as I have renovated a couple houses myself. And I had a chance to buy a small villa (stress “small” lol) in the south of France in 1996 for $130,000. Still regret not finding a way to make that work…
