I get he wants Plant and Canelo at 168lb, but when you have a chance to fight for a world title in a higher division which most ppl believe (including David and his own team stated this in various interviews) he can easily adjust into due to his size, you can’t say NO ONE wants to fight you. That’s the only point I’m making here.
David said it perfect Caleb does everything right but he only has 13 KOS. He does everything wrong but he knocks everyone out. This match is closer than a lot of casuals think.

Benavidez only knows to do one thing, come forward and throw punches in bunches. He better pray that his one trick is good enough that Plant has no answer, and in that case Plant gets destroyed like every other previous opponent of Benavidez. But if Plant does not retreat and can answer with counterpunching and giving angles, Benavidez is toast since he will not do anything but smile and repeat the same scenario over and over again, with the same result.
I agree, most people think this is an easy fight. They isn’t an easy fight when fighting a guy who has been champ before. People talk mad shit because he lost to canelo, as if canelo isn’t a generational talent who was pound for pound number one at some point., they isn’t shame in that and I would argue he was getting the best out of canelo in the earlier rounds, this isn’t an easy fight for him, that’s why he looks drained because he is training hard for this fight.. they only problem we haven’t seen him challenged by a real technical gifted boxer. And I don’t think canelo is ducking him. Canelo has spoken time and time again, if you really want to get in the ring with him you have to put up a good fight résumés . These dudes don’t even fight each to prove who is better and keep calling for a belt.
