An acoustic take on the National's Fake Empire. Hard timing, even harder to sing, even HARDER to sing and play on an acoustic guitar by yourself. I don't pull it off. But it's a start. Great song.

The song is actually in 3/4. With a 4 against 3 poly rhythm. Which in the case of this song is 3 bass notes for every 4 treble, or 3 quarter notes and 4 dotted eights notes.

You play rhythm like this right? :
treble |-x--x--x--x-|
bass |x---x---x---|
and I think it should maybe go like this:
treble |x--x--x--x--|
bass |x---x---x---|
Its the same pattern, just the 2nd one starts with both bass and treble picking in the same time rather than starting the chord with picking bass little earlier than treble.
Im not sure of this, but it sounds a little better and its a little easier playing it this way, so please check it out and correct me if Im wrong..
