    This is absolutely true Mitch. My friend, who will remain nameless, (Jeremy Gateshill) planed his winding sticks until the twist on his material was no longer visible! I still rib him about this almost 30 years on!

    Thanks for another video. I use old hotel key cards for all sorts of stuff in the shop, good to hear you spreading the word on that tip

    Nice tip! Never thot of using my calipers to check/fix twist (I’ve only used it as a marking gauge).
    That the #6 again?
    I liked my new-to-me vintage #6 so much, that I returned my “new” (plastic handle, Home Depot) #4 and bought a vintage 4-1/2, haha.
    Vintage ones are noticeably better quality, even the logo is more crisp/sharp w nicer textured inlay.

      Yes, if you can get a vintage plane in relatively decent condition, it can certainly match anything mass produced today.
