Great reaction! I'm 65 and to watch a young person today discover "Pink Floyd" for the first time is great and I'm envious I also think its funny when young people comment on the length of a song................ We never considered that back in the day. Was your age when their music was new. You have an amazing journey ahead The Album "Dark Side of the Moon", Echos" at Pompeii and the "Pulse" concert is a must for an introduction. If you want to raise your views and Subscriptions their a sure bet. Just Subscribed and will watch every "Pink Floyd" reaction you do................................ "Yes" would also be an amazing journey for you "Ren" is also a way to get a lot of views,
Oh boy if you jump down this rabbit hole you'll never regret it, I been listening to them for 30+ years and still gives me goosebumps, pink floyd touches the soul
It is great to watch a person that have not experienced Pink Floyd before. There are many many great songs to discover. As a hint: Always go for the studio version and try later go for live versions. You will enjoy every second on that journey. And don't be afraid from long songs. Some of the greatest songs from Pink Floyd go 20 minutes and longer. 😎👍
Comfortably Numb Pulse concert remastered will blow your mind David Gilmore guitar solo is considered by many as the all time greatest, nobody pauses during Gilmores solos, he's a guitar God I think it's in the Bible 😅❤
Go down the rabbit hole of Pink Floyd. The journey will blow your mind. You have only scratches the surface. I have been a Floydonian for 50 years and never tire of their music. Gilmour is a guitar rock God
This band has an unbelievable number of masterpieces and basically all of their songs are amazing. You really won't do badly no matter which of them you pick to react to.
The Floyd got together in London 1965. The video overlooks the town of Cambridge where three of the members came from. Anything from their P.U.L.S.E is a good place to start.
Pulse concert in 1994. I'm 68 and grew up on Pink Floyd. David Gilmore always has been a class act even in his early twenties. Only musician I've ever seen that can walk on stage dressed in jeans, t-shirt and carrying a black strat and commands every emotion you will experience.
Great to see someone getting “Floyded”; welcome brother! Couple of bits of context; most PF studio albums were recorded so the songs all flow, each one into the next. So to get the full experience, you’ll need to sit down and listen to the entire album. Also, while listening to the studio versions gives a more complete experience, you really -I mean REALLY- need to listen to anything from their P*U*L*S*E concert. While bassist and principal songwriter Roger Waters had left the band by that point, the remaining 3 members continued to record and tour. But by 1994 they were all getting long in the tooth, so when they toured to support what turned out to be their last studio album, “The Division Bell”, they decided to blow out all the stops this time around. They recorded several shows, notably at Earls Court in London, and released both the music and video as the P*U*L*S*E Concert (so named because there was a small LED light in the spine of the CD which flashed, or ‘pulsed’.) I had the pleasure of seeing the tour with 70,000 friends at Sun Devil Stadium, and it truly was spectacular. The entire concert was incredible, but the song that brought down the house was “Comfortably Numb.” It’s been called one of the greatest concert performances ever recorded. You really need to react to it. Other great live versions include “Run Like Hell”, ”Wish You Were Here”, about their missing bandmate, co-founder Syd Barrett, “Time”, and of course this song, “High Hopes”. Listening to Pink Floyd is always an experience, and you have some great experiences ahead of you, if you wish. Oh, and just for the record, in case it ever happens…concert etiquette dictates that you *NEVER* pause a David Gilmour guitar solo. Which may be a challenge for “Comfortably Numb”; Gilmour’s second (!!!) guitar solo in that song is more than six minutes long. You gotta watch it! Thanks again.
There is a great live version on this at the P.U,L.S.E. concert in 1994, I will add a link at the bottom if you want to check it out....I would recommend that any Pink Floyd song you do watch that you should hear the studio version first. Here are just a few examples of great Pink Floyd songs "Shine on You crazy Diamond", "Time", "Echoes", Comfortably Numb", "One Of These Days", "Fearless" and I am sure you will get further recommendations.... From wiki because I am lazy today...."Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. I am absolutely with you, Comfortably Numb at Pulse 1994 is probably one of the most spectacular performances of all time, altogether an amazing concert. FWIW Pink Floyd don't seem to be aggressive with copyright strikes, so no need to pause every few seconds. Obviously when a band uses a lot of multi-tracking on their studio albums many of their live performances have other musicians taking part, it is difficult to describe the combination of so many talented people getting together to perform complex creative music with deep meaning lyrics accompanied by immense lighting effects. The studio albums set the bar high, it is easy to believe that the live performances might be disappointing, instead they take everything to a higher level. Pink Floyd always surprise...
I just recall the low end of this in concert felt like my insides were gonna explode and I couldn't have been happier. Hands down the best concerts I ever saw.
Pink Floyd is arguably the greatest band that's ever been. I very much hope you keep listening. There's just something different about their music that hits deep. It's beautiful, intricate, meaningful, and hard. Happy listening, my friend.
The statue is of Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's first lead singer, who left the band very early in their career, late 60s, due to drug-aggravated mental illness. Throughout the years the band has hinted at him in various songs and even come out and sung about him in others. Their music tends to take listeners on journeys, with or without lyrics, and their songs usually talk about deep matters people everywhere experience. The usual suspects for reactors are "Comfortably Numb" (usually studio version followed by the live version from Pulse), "Time," and "The Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2." Any of these, or any number of others are worth checking out!
Mate I can't believe I've seen this video😢 dozens of time and actually failed to notice that, dammit lol, don't know what that says about my powers of observation 😅
I'm glad you have discovered Pink Floyd. This song makes more sense when you are a little older I think. It hits home far more now that I am almost 60 than it would have when I was 25.
PF is a genre all to themselves. I subscribed to watch you go down the rabbit hole of PF. You might try Comfortably Numb, album first and live at Pulse concert. Shine on You Crazy Diamond is another masterpiece, one of many! Nice to see the younger generation discover them. They are the GOAT!

Maybe listen to Comfortably Numb or Time next. Peace

Comfortably Numb and Sorrow. You have discovered a phenomenal band that takes you on journeys musically wise that you have never experienced. Enjoy every note , it’s honey for your ears 😊.
Look out for their live versions. Their videos are great. But their music is even greater. Perhaps the greatest band of all times. And I can see you you just FEEL that guitar of David Gilmour.
He really should do the studio version first if only for the brilliant lyrics and sonic experience. I believe it will only make him appreciate the live version even more.
I'm glad, as are many of my generation, that you've finally found real music to listen to and judge for yourself. So, to fully understand the visuals of the video's structure, you need to look back at all of their albums, each one has a set artistic expression, this song being the Farewell song to the fans, reflects back on over 30 years of music, and calls back ALL of those artistic elements and combines them in totality for this. They get you there when it's time. Concerta you never see people stand when listening to them Except " Run Like Hell: seen then 7 times.

They are for all intents and purposes, an art rock band. One of the pioneers of progressive rock, and among the most influential and top-selling bands in history. The live "Pulse" version of this song is amazing. Also you might want to check out "Comfortably Numb" [studio version first!!] by them. Also, don't worry so much about copyright with Floyd. Try not to mess with the guitar solos. David Gilmour's emotional soul piercing guitar solos are considered some of the best ever produced in rock. 👍
