How to remove the steering column to access the power steering motor on a 2015 Toyota Prius 🚗

I have a noise in my steering and I went to a couple of shops, so far they were both wrong, I got this one apart, but don’t think that this is the problem, unfortunately, I think it’s the rack. But that will make a good video! This shows how to remove the steering wheel, the airbag, the steering angle sensor, the tilt zoom and the power steering assist motor

I really enjoy your video. When I get to near the end where you have the 2 screws for the torque sensor, I am unable to pull the shaft out because the electrical line is short. How did you work it out where you are able to pull shaft out like you did?

When you pull off those two bolts, I just wiggled a little it is stretching the line, but I didn’t pull too hard. Maybe it’s the position of the steering column. Maybe it needs to be up or down. I have to take it apart again so when I do that, I’ll see if there’s anything that I can add to this.

It’s just the beating you can grease it up and it will be like new , you forgot to disconnect. The batteries 😮

I greased it and it didn’t seem to help, it looks like on this car also with the 17 inch wheels it had a different power steering unit, noticed the yellow wires
