Tips I learned for stitching with white, Nancy. Yes, you MUST separate the threads if you are working with two strands. Coming up in an empty hole could also help. All I can say is that cuckoo clock is hysterically on time! Love that chart of the cuckoo bird! 100 years from now, I wonder how many will know the significance when seeing it stitched! People will be researching you to find the connection! You both are so much fun to watch! Thanks for all the stitching inspiration!
I finally received my Red Box from hands across the sea. I loved every minute of opening the envelopes and tour Europe. My father was from Greece so I will be starting on that one.
Well you did it again! Enabled me right to Scattered Seed Sampler to buy the pinkeep club! Brenda, love that you stitch smalls in between samplers and I can’t wait to stitch my two bunnies from Scattered Seed that I have in my stash! And now I must get the cuckoo chart too! What.a special tribute to two great ladies!! Loved seeing you both and can hardly wait two more weeks for your next episode!
Oh my goodness, that cuckoo clock just knows when to cuckoo!!! Love the Cuckoo Bird chart and it's even more special with the beautiful dedication to both of you! I'm working on a Blackbird designs pattern right now as I did not put one stitch on a BBD last year and that's just not acceptable!!! Brenda, that wooden box is a work of art!!!! Laura, the piece you did for your Grandma is such a special treasure!!! Thanks as always ladies and happy stitching!
Love the Cuckoo clock which always cuckoos at the right time. Loved Laura's mom's note with questions. Once again you two tempt us with beautiful patterns to stitch.
OMG when the cuckoo clock started when you were showing Cecilia’s pattern I lost it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for enabling me with so many ideas. As always, love you ladies 😍😍
I was so surprised to see you again today. I went with the Hubby on a business trip the first part of February and I'm still trying to catch up on Floss Tube. Always enjoy seeing you. Love the HATS "Jane Harth 1868". It's going to be a new acquisition soon. I did get a giggle from the person putting her finished pieces up on a quilt ladder. I stitch in my library and look at 16 feet of book cases. Last year I hung my first finish from one of the shelves and then proceeded to add a dozen more. I took them down when I decorated for Christmas/winter and have really missed looking at them. Haven't had a finish yet this year so may get them out and replace as I finish this year. Or just leave them all up as an inducement to do a final finish on them. Working on a couple of Blackbirds and they have been fun stitches.
Oh you two are such a joy with all you share! Thank you so much for the kind shoutout! I about dropped my hoop when I heard my name! I appreciate your kindness!
I made a similar grandma stitch from Lindy Stitches and gifted it to my daughter’s mother-in-law when our first grandchild was born. She babysits him a lot since they live close to each other.
I can’t remember if I commented or not…I started watching then watched the remainder today! You two are so fun to listen to! Love the stories and stitching is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your stitching and time with us! ❤
Hello and thank you so very much for your dedication, guidance and knowledge. I am a repeat watcher and am currently watching a December 2022 video. Please know that the Ye Olde Cross Stitchery in Bristol Pa has an enormous number of retired patterns. Mary, the owner has lots of Lizzie Kate. This shop is both retail and mail order. So enjoy both of you. Angels on Earth
Oh I love Coocko bird! And all your small birds are beautiful! I’m stitching bunnies between my samplers right now, but birds maybe calling. Thank you ladies for the awesome entertainment….
Loved your mom’s questions. I had seen on another floss tube or two about always separating strands. Now I do. February I did work on smalls also. Sometimes you just have have to change it up.
Thank you for another visit filled with camaraderie, good cheer and lots of pretties. Your bird patterns are beautiful, Brenda. Love the coocoo bird for you both, such fun. I hope Nancy gets sorted out in her stitching. She should pop by one day and say hello. Take care, and happy stitching.
I also stitched no place like home for my mom when I had her grandchildren and there was one that said no man like my dad, except Granpa. I stitched them both!
I'm relatively new to cross stitching and had never heard before that if you are using two threads they should be separated and then put back together! That combined with Vonna's recent tip to use a bigger rather than smaller needle size-so the stitches aren't crushed-really improved my stitching! Much neater and less twisting. Thanks so much for the tip...always enjoy watching you both as you share your talents and banter.
I look forward to every one of your videos! I am so thankful to you Brenda for always making cross stitch mistakes "no big deal" and "there's a way to keep going." I cross stitched as a child and then now in my 50s started again and when I first made mistakes I was like "what is your problem???" so mad at myself and putting the project in time out. I now see your forgiving facial expression as if you are in the room saying "it's ok...make it work." and Laura you are a delight as well. I love all your personality and how wonderful it is you are so close to your mom:). So sweet she wrote that cherished letter. You two are amazing and thanks for videos. xoxo
Brenda - Treenway silks have been a staple in the embroidery world since the late 1990s. Judith Baker Montano was an instrumental teacher in bringing silk to cross stitchers and needlework enthusiasts. Ms. Montano also has an excellent book on needlework stitches and other beautiful books on stitching. There is a brief history on the company on their website. They are well known for quality, dye-fast threads at numerous weights.
Hello Girls!! Enjoyed watching your show today. Thank you for sharing your haul of fabrics. I do not have a local cross stitch shop in are area. I have been purchasing white evenweave online then tea dying it myself. Brenda!! the box that you purchased on ebay is magnificence!! I love shopping antiques. My mom passed away when I was 19. I could never part with her sewing collection. Laura you are so blessed to have your mom. I love hearing about your relationship with your mom. It sounds like you have so much in common. Brenda and Laura you are so blessed to have such a wonderful stitching friendship. I can't wait to see what is in your red boxes from Nicola. Y’all introduced me to several new things tonight - sorry Dee was watching with me!! 😳🤣 Keep up the great work! Loving it!
Thank you for watching Melissa!!!!!!!! Your Christmas Blues decorating sounds really wonderful!!!!!!! Hugs!

So much fun to watch you two. You are just delightful. ❤

Thank you Rita!!!!
Thank you Wanda!!!!!!! Yes, the three of us need to do better with our BBD stitching! Thank you for watching and leaving such a nice comment!
Love the Cuckoo clock which always cuckoos at the right time. Loved Laura's mom's note with questions. Once again you two tempt us with beautiful patterns to stitch.
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment Rhonda!
OMG when the cuckoo clock started when you were showing Cecilia’s pattern I lost it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for enabling me with so many ideas. As always, love you ladies 😍😍
Thank you Cathy!! That was hilarious!!!!!!! That clock!
I love that your mother sent her questions in a sealed envelope!! So much good stitchy stuff you always show! Thanks!
Thank you Marcia!!!! Yes, mom's envelope was really a great idea.....she is like that though....always thoughtful!
That is so cool Debra!!!!!!! Yes, ,put them back up!!!
Oh you two are such a joy with all you share! Thank you so much for the kind shoutout! I about dropped my hoop when I heard my name! I appreciate your kindness!
Ginger.... I LOVE your photos! Always happy to see your newest instagram posts,... soooo inspirational!!!

Great video! 🦋🌻
Thank you Daniela!
I made a similar grandma stitch from Lindy Stitches and gifted it to my daughter’s mother-in-law when our first grandchild was born. She babysits him a lot since they live close to each other.
That is so so wonderful Athena!!!!!! How thoughtful!
I can’t remember if I commented or not…I started watching then watched the remainder today! You two are so fun to listen to! Love the stories and stitching is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your stitching and time with us! ❤
Thank you so much for watching Michele!!!!
Thank you so much Jo Ann!!!!!!! We will keep that in mind about Ye Olde Cross Stitchery!
Yes the QR code works perfectly. Thanks again for another wonderful flosstube.
That is amazing!!!!!!! Thank you for watching!
GEEZ O PETE! I love your videos....from a Royal Oak, Mi girl to you......GO BLUE!
Thank you Chrissie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I love Coocko bird! And all your small birds are beautiful! I’m stitching bunnies between my samplers right now, but birds maybe calling. Thank you ladies for the awesome entertainment….
Thank you so much Patsy!
Loved your mom’s questions. I had seen on another floss tube or two about always separating strands. Now I do. February I did work on smalls also. Sometimes you just have have to change it up.
Thank you!!!! Agree with the changing up!!!
Geez oh Pete! I’m from Michigan, too! Don’t live there now but it was what we always said!! 🤣
That is hilarious Sharon!!!!!
Love you guys!
Thank you Cathy!!!!
Thank you so much Arleen!!!!!!!!!!!
I also stitched no place like home for my mom when I had her grandchildren and there was one that said no man like my dad, except Granpa. I stitched them both!
How wonderful Carrie!!!!! Such great memories!
Thank you so much Susan!!!!!! So glad that this helped you!
You two are amazing and thanks for videos. xoxo
Thank you very kindly Layne!!!!!! Your comments make us so happy that we make floss tubes!!! Glad you started stitching again!!!
Thank you so much for that great information Christine!!
Love you gals!
I am a collector of antique sewing notions and anything related to stitching. I feel like I am rescuing someone's treasures. Something that they stitched to comfort them. Thank you for taking the time to share!!
Brenda from Northern California
Thank you so much Brenda....loved reading your sweet comments. Sending you a big hug!
Oh! My grandmothers name was Bernice, and she named her only daughter Beatrice (unfortunately Beatrice didn’t survive)…. Your stitching is so inspiring to me… my grandmother taught me to stitch when I was very young.. I love your flosstube ladies!
Thank you so much Sandra. Your grandma must have been a wonderful lady and I am sorry about Beatrice. Sending lots of love to all!

Enjoy watching you girls from here in Kalamazoo Michigan! I picked up sitching again during COVID like so many others and am loving it! I too have become a collector of patterns, and can't ever find enough time in a day! Looking forward to your next youtube!
Thank you Julie!!!! So glad that you returned to stitching!!!!!!! Definitely not enough stitching time in each day!
