Dan, with all do respect swapping the engine would be a mistake. I have been watching you since you bought back Maggie. You single handedly got me into motorcycles and the Honda Magna is my favorite motorcycle in the world because of you. Not long after you revamped Maggie after you bought her back and revealed the new look I showed my dad the video. And then I showed him your first ride in over a year video and he was nearly in tears, my dad doesn't cry. I found out that he also had a 94 magna with screaming eagle pipes that he had when he was in the army. Because of the sound and your reaction to Maggie after you fixed her up again you and that amazing motorcycle and your story helped me and my father create a deeper bond and gave up something in common. To swap a different motor into her I feel would be to take away from the emotional connection that the OGs and even yourself have to her. It would be very cool to see a CBR 600 or something like that swapped into a magna but, not Maggie. If you really feel like that's something you want to do then do it. It is your bike but I feel like getting another magna with a blown motor perhaps would be the better way to go. Whatever you end up deciding in the end is still going to be a good one but It would also be a shame to see a legend turned into something that it's not. I know it may sound weird but I love you bro (no homo tho) and I hope you and all of your friends and family who I also watch avidly are all in good health and remain so. Dan- In High School i felt the same way as you. I remember auto shop vividly: i had no idea what, how, or why an engine did anything that it did. I was struggling HARDcore with the class, despite being taught every day the proper methods. One day, however, it finally clicked in my brain that the entire point of the internal combustion engine is solely to make a shaft rotate, and when i made that realization of greater understanding, the rest of the engine fell into place in my mind. Once that happened, I could feel myself finally start learning in the class and understanding what my teacher has been saying. Keep up the good content, we love you Dan!

I know I took a break from your channel once the bike shit slowed down but picked it back up about a year ago and ever since, I’m glad I did. I get to see a very nice variety of videos from bikes, to trucks, to cars, to guns. It’s a mix of all my favorite shit. I can’t lie though, I do miss the motovlog shit from time to time but no one can tell you how to live your life. I personally would love to see a motovlog video dropped once every couple weeks or so. I feel that putting a high revving sport bike engine in the magna would be like putting a Ferrari engine in a muscle car. It doesn't make sense when most the enjoyment is the throaty sound and feel.

Actually ended up with a Magna after watching yours for years, ended up building it into a bobber almost identical, while it may not be the fastest, the V4 is the heart of these bikes and no other engine sounds the same

And will be here for whatever content you feel like putting out. Crazy to think a big youtuber is near me and just shows to many people that regardless of your background or where you have came from you can do whatever you want and be successful as you want to be. Dan you are one of the few UA-camrs that I watch for the person and not necessarily the content. All the stuff you work on and due is amazing but I love your mindset, and your saying “it’s just work.” Ive watched for a really long time and you are the reason I got into motorcycles and working on vehicles, and sometimes when I’m working on stuff, I think it’s going to be hard but just remember it’s just work, but I also keep that mindset with everything I do that if you put in the effort you can get it done. Dan I’ve been watching you since you broke your foot/leg/ankle when you hit gravel in that construction zone. I remember watching you and jake do the parachute flying with the motors and fans on your back. I loved the og mowervlogs. The point is that the magma has always had a little soft spot for me when it came to your channel, and I’ve always loved that throaty roar the bike had. But at the end of the day you do whatever makes you happy and makes you enjoy riding the bike. Thanks for all your videos

Essentially he thinks a ducati engine (I assume the one Dan mentioned) sounds similar to what you'd expect from a hard tail that looks like the magna so that would be a good swap but a CBR sounds a lot different so that might make it feel like a sportier ride which would also be cool with him.

Actually ended up with a Magna after watching yours for years, ended up building it into a bobber almost identical, while it may not be the fastest, the V4 is the heart of these bikes and no other engine sounds the same

Dan I've been watching your videos for a few years now and right now your channel in my opinion is the best it has ever been, I always get excited when a new video pops up. Love the real and honest content. The variety has been amazing, watching and learning a lot of interesting stuff. As far as the magna engine I think keep it OG.
