He does have a point you need to mention that the priority needs to be weighed and measured so you can get accurate price. To use when printing out your own shipping label
THANK YOU. I’ve been searching everywhere for basic info on regular priority shipping and have been only seeing stuff about flat rate, regional, etc... I just needed to know if I could use my own boxes, now I finally know!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I hope you succeed in all of your sales for helping others to do the same. You are so genuinely sweet and fun to watch!
Been a viewer for a bit but my first time commenting. If the post office doesn’t accept those packages, I would look for alternate drop off locations. I drop off my packages at a grocery store that takes USPS packages. It’s quicker, no hassle, just drop off and go.
Found a red nintendo wii at goodwill today for $60. It came with a bunch of other things such as balance board, wii fit, and extra nunchucks. Not sure if I will sell it though because I have another one that broke today that I played games on. Selling off some of the nunchucks, controller, and the wii fit and balance board as I already have all of that. For some reason it also came with an old mac charger and a lenovo computer charger.
Thank you very much for a very good explanation on how to ship on eBay. I have one more problem that I got myself in to... in short I visited a SELLER HUB and I didnt Like it at all, and I'm not alone in this. Question I have : how can I switch new seller HUB to the old version.? I think Ebay did they best to force sellers in to it promising an easy way out , but they forgot to show sellers how to do that. Can you please help me to get back to old version. Thank you. Max
So if you use the priority mail option to send and you use the ‘priority mail package’ and use your own brown box, do you still have to fill out the dimensions and weight?
You can as long as it is first class weight. I don't know that putting an envelope around the box would make first class cheaper. If anything it would add more weight.
It’s ridiculous how much more they charge just to use the flat rate boxes. Same height and weight of 2lbs was $10.96 to ship out an item today vs $19 to use a large flat rate box 🤦🏾♂️
When selecting Priority Mail- using your own box. This is the phrase they say..."Up to 70 pounds and 108 inches in combined length and girth. Girth is the distance around the thickest part of the package". How do you figure this with your box?
just put in 3 measurements of the box. If it is too big with the 3 dimensions it will tell you. If your box is that big though you probably will want UPS.
FYI if your not shipping a gallon or more of liquid or concrete do not use large flat rate boxes.............RIP OFF Also Priority Mail stickers are FREE at USPS.com to use on your regular boxes so that it is noticed by them easier.
......dude! your doing an instructional video.....it's "Weight based" shipping boxes vs "Flat Rate" boxes, learn the terminology.
Thanks no name no face person.
Yea man! How dare you?? Delete your UA-cam. TRIGGERED 😤
@@boosterbrosllc4681 LOL Ok I give up. Ill quit youtube immediately.

Good advice! Thanks for the comment!
Is someone ussuly there to scan it in or do you have to wait for it to be sent to the post office? Thanks

Cool! Look up the model numbers of the chargers and see if you can sell them for a few bucks.
Thank you so much! That clarified my question as well about the shipping!
Awesome! Thanks Rissa!
I have many times used my own recycled boxes with no problem.
Yes it should not be a problem.
This was a big help thanks a lot!
Glad it helped!
Thanks a bunch for the video.
No problem!
At 5:21 is that also usps cubed box
Sorry I am not sure what that means.
@@TheRadicalReseller on eBay the first choice is priority mail is that 7x7x6(cubed) box?
If it is just "Priority Mail" that means it is measured by weight and size of the box. It can be any box or package.
Thanks great explanations.
Thank you!!
I used to a reseller, so this refresher was super helpful !!
thank you for coffee
A shorter video would have worked just as well. Please answer the question sooner; What shipping option do I choose to use my own box?
Can I reuse a priority box to ship as long as I pay & print for priority label at home? Ty
Yes you can!
@@TheRadicalReseller ty!

Thanks Max. I think they may have removed the ability to go back to the old seller hub. Sorry. I can't help you on that one.
If we use a brown boxes do we have to get a priority mail sticker or tape ?
But what if I package at home using my own boxes/polymailer. How would that work like step by step?
Just select USPS Priority Mail and put in the weight plus the 3 dimensions of the package.
Great explanation thank you 😉👍👍👍
Awesome! Glad it helped!
So if you use the priority mail option to send and you use the ‘priority mail package’ and use your own brown box, do you still have to fill out the dimensions and weight?
Yes Brandon because on eBay the package price is determined by weight and dimensions or they also call it Zone.
@@TheRadicalReseller thanks! This is the only video I could find that talks about the topic. It was very helpful!
thank youuuu so helpful
You got it!
Can I put a small box (such as 6 x 4 x 2) into a padded (not priority) envelope for 1st class? Would it be cheaper?
You can as long as it is first class weight. I don't know that putting an envelope around the box would make first class cheaper. If anything it would add more weight.
It’s ridiculous how much more they charge just to use the flat rate boxes. Same height and weight of 2lbs was $10.96 to ship out an item today vs $19 to use a large flat rate box 🤦🏾♂️
Yeah they will definitely take advantage of that flat rate if they can.
is first class mail still up to a pound? I thought they changed it to 13 oz or am i wrong?
eBay has a deal with USPS to allow up to 16 oz for first class when printing an ebay shipping label. If you walk into the post office it is 13 oz.
If I am shipping USPS ground, can I use a regular priority box (not flat rate)?
No you must use your own packaging.
@@TheRadicalReseller Thank you so much!
Is there a way usps could just pick up the box in my house to the destination beacuse I would have to go all the way to the post office to drop it off
Yes start an online USPS account to order priority mail boxes and schedule pickups.
where do you get the packaging?
Which packaging do you mean?
When selecting Priority Mail- using your own box. This is the phrase they say..."Up to 70 pounds and 108 inches in combined length and girth. Girth is the distance around the thickest part of the package". How do you figure this with your box?
just put in 3 measurements of the box. If it is too big with the 3 dimensions it will tell you. If your box is that big though you probably will want UPS.
with regular priority mail is shipping 1-3 days just like flat rate?
Yes it is supposed to be.
Yes; but note they now make it 1to 4 days now!!!!
So after I get the free boxes how do I apply insurance to it? First time seller
For priority mail I believe the insurance is automatic. You just have to file a claim with USPS if something goes wrong.
Do you ever plan on reselling full time?
If something happened to my job I might consider it.
@@TheRadicalReseller If something happened to your job it looks like you would manage with reselling.
Thanks!
Do you run it as a Sole proprietorship?
Yes.
Sorry it just say USPS Priority Mail not package that is where im lost at if any one can help
For the Priority mail option you can use your own boxes or priority mail mailing boxes.
@@TheRadicalReseller Thank you so much for the input it says USPS Priority Mail only it was really confusing thanks again !
I learned my lesson shipping a item via Flat Rate in a Priority box and the customer got charged extra and item was withheld at local post office.
Ouch that is a hard lesson!
I heard those priority boxes are free is that true?
Yes they are free but you can only use them for Priority Mail.
I want Ben 10 Watch
Nice info but the video could have been much shorter avoiding repeated stuff
Thanks!
