6:54: i'm 23 and have played many of violent video games in my time. the way my parents raised me had a lot to do with how i turned out. i'm not a violent person and never have been. so at 6:54 when you say its "scary" is bullshit. because I can watch and learn all the violence I want but I know i'll never use any of it in my life because I don't put myself in those types of situations. it all depends on the type of person you are and where you live at. I've lived in the city and its a bit harder to avoid fights because people like to stare you in the eye & try to start shit with you for no reason whatsoever. living in the suburbs is much better/safer and you're much less likely to be in a situation where you will be forced to hit someone to save your own life.

You're an outlier. A majority do actually develop anger. If it did not affect you it does not mean that others are not affected by it.

Same I'm not violent, but the thing is you got angry and cussed which is sort of ironic. No need to get defensive if it's a debate/discussion, some people are affected yes, but studies do show that the majority are not.

You are case is different violence games can be a way of expressing your own anger and venting it out and hence never turns into agression whereas in most kids agression during childhood is learnt as a acceptable behaviour in violent families as violence is never punished or has any negative consequences.

In fact violent games can have certain benefits since you must have keeps up various strategies and build hand eye coordination so when you are in a situation someone is hitting you or probing you, you can use your learning for self defence.

Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) started as the Social Learning Theory (SLT) in the 1960s by Albert Bandura. It developed into the SCT in 1986 and posits that learning occurs in a social context with a dynamic and reciprocal interaction of the person, environment, and behavior.Aug 29, 2018

Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) is the expansion of SLT and describes a dynamic, ongoing process in which personal factors, environmental factors, and human behavior exert influence upon each other.
