Hi emiology I wanted to let you know that my pet mouse has passed away😭 I wanted to thank you for all the information you have given me it realy helped. Thanks to you my pet mouse lived life to the fullest! What you do is amazing you help so many people care for there animals so well! Because of all your information I can give lots of animals in the future a good home. Watching your videos and Victoria Rachels has helped me find my passion for animals thankyou😁
When you talked about rescuing snails, I can tell you that's definitely a needed thing!! I rescued 12 Fulica 3 weeks ago, they were kept in an overcrowded environment and had to be adopted. A friend of mine has rescued Marginata Ovums before from bad keepers who don't give calcium / protein. I've even seen snails in need of rescue that were kept on WOOD SHAVINGS. So the giant snail community really needs more people looking to rescue
I have 2 siamese boys and I love them sm(their names are Chip and Gus)! I didn't know they were going to be siamese when they were younger because their coat colours started to change when they were about 6/7 weeks old, but now they are practically twins and hard to tell apart.
I have Horace (dumbo ears and Siamese markings) and Herbie (Classic ears..'Top' and white Rex) Also had Beautiful Henry (brown self) but passed away young 😢😥
I’ve owned rats for a while but you’re teaching me new stuff all the time! Just started scatter feeding my boys and they’re going to get a dig box soon. They both say hello.
If you can join Rat care UK on Facebook the people on there are great with loads of good info in the ‘announcement’ section. You don’t have to be from the UK!!
People don't realize how expensive proper rat care is. My rats weigh less but cost more per month then my 25lb dog and 17lb cat combined. I just got a burmese boy to breed the colour combo into my rexes I'm so excited! I'm sitting at two young boys, Big guy and Gus gus. Two older boys, Marshmellow and Maurice. They all have either the hairless rex or the wired rex gene in them. I have four retired old ladies, Cornflower, Buttercup, Rose and Moxi and two younger ladies Brena and Shiloh. My computer room is my rat room and Maurice and Big guy are cuddled on my lap while I type this. I love my rat babies and Love your videos.
Aah I’m glad to see Slushie! :)) and btw yes it was snowing, I’m in north Italy and we got some too, so absurd :| love the design, I hope I’ll be able to get it!
I can't believe some people find it strange that you only have four rats. I have four myself and they're a handful! I couldn't imagine the head count if I had eight or more, lmao
Loving your hair colour! It looks like it's been highlighted with red? Looks great with your complexion! Thanks for featuring Slushy and the Video! I have 3 girls, and You know...I totally agree...it's not about how many you can have...it's about how many do you want balanced with the quality of life you can provide.
Have you considered making a video about basic snail care? I’ve never considered them as a pet, but since I saw your video I thought that it might be the ideal pet for a busy uni student.
Hi I got your kids crewneck better together fire red sweatshirt and I loveveveveve it I was worried about the size cus on the tee spring it was a bit confusing. But it fits perfectly. It’s my first ever merch from any you tuber and I absolutely love it 😍 also sorry this is long , but Haley from 101 rabbits also has pots!!!! 🐰🐰🐰 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇 I am in the uk aswell and today we had hail, snow (sadly it didn’t set haha 😆) and it rained! wow! You are very responsible as well!!!
Dumbos seemed to be *ever so* slightly more chilled out than standard when I had 4 of them as 2 pairs of brothers, (only a couple of weeks difference in age, so they mingled when young perfectly) but then again it could easily just be the personalities - Monty with Mikey (dumbos) just happened to be a bit more relaxed than Twix and Crunchie. It meant the dumbos got FAT though, and then it probably became self-fulfilling.
I thought 4-6 rats was a good number too.... I now have 8 cuz I rescued 4 recently, but since my 4 were used to having such a big cage to themselves I doubled the space 😂. I get my cages second hand but I have a double critter nation connected to a feisty ferret cage. I just have thick plastic blocking where it doesn't fully line up. My girls seem to love it though
Hi Em love your vids, I have rats but i have been wanting mice to. What size wheel is minimum? How many females should be kept together minimum? From South Africa.
For me, the Answer is: way too much rat poo! I just fostered two girls. The additional two rats have ust made cleaning an over the top chore now. I am up to my elbows in rat poop. These two were never litter trained and that's the reason why I don't like taking care of more than four rats at a time. The difference between for rats and 6 rats is significant. Especially if they're not litter trained.
Hey Guys so I got a question. I’ve recently bought a thing of blue horn worms, still in their adolescent stage, and I was wondering if pet rats enjoy blue horn worms. As well if any of you guys have ever feed your’s blue horn worms.
Hi I just want to say thank you I’m getting rats on Wednesday and thank you for everything and I’ve watched a lot of your videos and did all the research and thank you for all you helped A LOT Omg thank you
I have 9 mice and a Syrian hamster named Nugget. My Male mice names are Tennessee, Kibble, smudge, and dasher. The females which I have 3 babys and 2 bigger females. I have pebble, and ruby, amististe, pearl ( yes I have a pearl too ❤) and onix. I have my hands full but I absolutely love them. I love how everyone is a individual, I love watching there personalities come out. You have helped me so much because your right you cant find enough information on mice! You have taught me so much! So thank you so much I love your channel you and so awesome keep shining😍❤🙂 Edit: I also run a small animal rescue, out of my studio appartment. Which is much bigger than you think. I have a pet room. And I take in mice etc and rehome. Lots of times I decided I couldn't let them go, so I kept them and give them the love they deserve. It's my passion.. very soon hopefully next month I'm gonna start my own channel, to promote great care, love, understanding, and so much more. I'll be introducing everyone to my babys❤
I absolutely LOVE your hair Em ❣️ great job on the shirts, always love when you do Q&A's that and your vlogs makes it feel like we are just friends catching up 😁😎😋
I love all 10 of my rats. But pudding, is my favorite. I love her so much. Her sister Jellybean whom I got her with, is the same age (more than 2 and a half) and I feel bad because I give pudding so much more attention. I also have a question for em, I am in the process of moving rn, and when I do I will be able to free roam my rats again, but for the past like 3-6 months, I haven't been able to ass the only spare room we had was being used. I'm moving in like a month or less, is this considered animal neglect? As I feel really bad but there's nothing I can do.
Hi, if it’s not too much trouble, could I have some advice? From you or any other mice owners in the comments!! I’m looking to get a group three to four female mice sometime in the next month. I know all the basics of their care, but wanted to know if my cage is big enough. It’s a wired cage that’s 540sq inches (30in by 18) and about 17 inches tall. How many female mice could this comfortably fit? I’d also really appreciate any info about their dietary needs! I haven’t been able to find much info on that.
Hi emiology I'm getting baby rats soon I need to get shredded cupboard for the cage could you tell me where the best place to buy it please I live in the UK aswel Wales thank you xx
Sorry I am late but 8:30 I would rather be a mouse because I could hide in many more places and be less visible to the other animals. (Although rats might eat me)
I'm building my guys a new bigger cage because I'm not looking after them properly at the moment but I'm gonna get 2 more when I finish the new cage, wondering if there is anything you would suggest me get for the new cage?
Please help! I don't know if it's normal, but my mice are still running away when i walk past their cage. They won't come out of their burrows when im by their cage, and if i make noises they run. Do you have any solutions?
I have Tourette’s and other physiological conditions (anxiety, paranoia ext.) and a service dog would benefit me so much but there are no free trainers in the Uk and it would cost me £6000 and I just don’t have that kind of money to pull out of thin air as well as all the general costs that come with dogs I wish you all the best in your journey:)
One charity I came across is called dog aid you could see if there’s any local trainers in your area that work under the charity to reduce the costs / offer free training. I know there’s none near me at the moment unfortunately.
I have POTS (and Dysautonomia in general) and I’ve trained my own service dog as well as someone else’s! You can totally reach out to me with any questions. My Instagram is @sdkoda 💖
Can someone give me a tip on how to best get my mice out of the cage for playtime without stressing them out too much? (they are not tame yet) I recently got three female mice, they are so cute I love them very much. Of course I want to provide them with playtime outside of the cage but as of now they are not yet accustomed to my hand. Are there good ways to move mice without stressing them out to much? Should I just put something like a transportbox down and wait for them to get in on their own? Geez this comment got way longer than expected 😂😅
I've never thought u favour the mice over the rats..maybe sometimes there's been more going on with the mice, so they'll have a few more videos sometimes?
I used to let them on the couch with me when they were babies and I was socialising them, and on my bed with a blanket down. Now that I have a cat I don’t take them downstairs

Having had 10 to 12 rats before, it is very stressful to try and give them all the attention they require.
We must have the same taste because one of my rats is a dumbo, Siamese, and a Rex!
I have Horace (dumbo ears and Siamese markings)
and Herbie (Classic ears..'Top' and white Rex)
Also had Beautiful Henry (brown self) but passed away young 😢😥
They came from a small quality petshop.
But I will always try to get rescue ratties first.
