Good to see her getting all dressed up for the Ball, a nice pair of new shoes and she'll be ready to boogie on down the flats 😊

Remember me, the guy with the 260hp Triumph Rocket 3.
Thursday night it, my Thunderbird LT, and my rare 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond Edition truck, burned up in a fire. Along with all my mechanics & carpentry tools, my workshop and my garage.😢
All the Best to you during speed week.
    Please be Safe My Friend!

Oh no that's terrible! Do you know what started the fire yet? I know you are feeling floored by this and I can offer you only my sincere condolences.

      Thank You!
Unfortunately I started the fire and didn't know it.
I was blackening some bolts on my Rocket and unknowingly sparked an oil soaked rag.

@AGRIV8TD1963 Well I hope you can get as much as possible in recovery costs but I know that can be difficult and somethings are not easily replaceable.

@@flatcapcaferacer My father gave me his 2013 Chevy Avalanche Black Diamond Edition truck before he passed away. That's irreplaceable.
It only had 45,000mi. on it, in mint condition.
All my other stuff, including my bikes, be damned. That truck is the only thing that mattered to me.😭

@AGRIV8TD1963 I was afraid of that Ronnie. My buddy had one of these we took to Bonneville to pull our motorcycle trailer.
The first time I saw it I told him it was the prettiest truck I've ever seen.

Don't want to be a "Debbie Downer", shucks, Im rootin' for ya'll but; the variables- wind direction/speed, humidity, has the flats been dry recently, etc. Man, it's a shame you don't get more runs.
I have faith in ya'll, you can't break records if you don't try, rt?
Really dig your videos. Expecting to watch your next video. I can appreciate both brands of bikes. 😊

No worries. All the stuff you mentioned is the stuff that makes it exciting and challenging.
The risks are high but gives me something to shoot for....I think I may already have another ride lined up for 2025.
A record would be great but really isn't the driver for doing it......I love the speed and the salt.

Certainly a mean looking machine, And I am 100% sure you will get up to the speed you are looking for. I can see how much preparation you are doing and you are leaving nothing to chance. Regarding the tyres, are they specially speed rated? and do you have to get them balanced at somewhere special? Great video and explanations Jerry. Thanks for keeping us all informed. Cheers

I'll have another vid on the tires and balancing coming out soon, I'm still shooting some parts. We have to try an exploit a tiny hole in rules because motorcycle tire manufacturers do not manufacture a 16 inch rear tire in the Rocket 3 size with a speed rating over 150 mph. Last year we had special 17 inch rim manufactured so we could run up to 200 mph.
Of course the accident wee had at Bonneville crushed that wheel. We are hoping to run over 150 mph on tires rated only to 150 mph. The rules will allow two runs over 150 mph on the tires we have but only two runs. It takes two consecutive runs to post a record so we will probably only get two shots for the record. Not much of a margin of error for us to be successful.
