I really love this. My mom is an actual hoarder so i do love to see reasonable clutter and the comfort of your mom allowing you to help. My mom has gotten so ashamed and it seems to never get better. She always wants to do better tho and I know she does her best 😢
Maybe you could watch A hoarders heart on youtube with your mom. Her first episodes are the best with filled rooms. She talks about her emotions, scarcity mindset and bullying that influenced it. She has been working through her hoard bit by bit over the last few years. I dont see myself as a hoarder but have tendensies, I struggle letting go and she has helped me. At the start of the year I had my aunts home to clear after her death, she hoarded a lot of things from lost family members to my childhood reports/schoolwork etc i didnt want to follow. I wouldnt have made it through without her videos. They guided me to create a limit and keep the most important that fit in 1 box. Decision fatique and being upset at one point had me trying to decide on if to keep spoons!😂
i second watching hoarders heart. she is a great channel to help with letting go and understanding hoarders disorder

whenever i declutter my closet wanting to either sell or donate it, my mom always take like... 75% of the clothes but the thing is, she never wears it. she just puts it in her closet for "someday" i'm so😭 and now her closet keeps getting fuller and fuller because she still buys new clothes too but never get rid of anything. i think i need to do this for her like you do😂

The door opening in yo the closet is so weird. It makes it hard to move around. I wonder if you could change the swing on it so it swings out or add a pocket door? Black velvet hangers would make it look super stream lined. The weird storage behind the door might be changed out for better storage? Looks good! You guys did a great job!

omg i so relate with her i just took out 16 big black trash bags from my closet and 4 dressers that were so jam packed i couldnt get clothes out or put them in its shameful the amount i took out of there its been all my adult life since i decluttered my closet im serious i still have my 80s clothes i thought i loved them but ill never fit them again so they are gone and so are everything else that doesnt look fabulous on me right now i got rid of 2 dressers all my clothes now comfortably fit with room to breath in 2 dressers and a small bit of the closet
