Really cool. I may have to build a vacuum pot and try some of this. I saw post where somebody did this with pot scrubbing (scotch-brite?) pads. I've seen them in green and blue. Maybe there are other colors too. The blue turned out amazing with a unique, almost sparkly, look. Endless possibilities

The amber colored one is perfect! I'll be interested to see what you put them on... I'd probably make a nice camp chopper with a good sized handle so you can preserve as much of the cone as possible... plus it fits the theme.

Very well done brother!! Love the refrigerator vacuum pump! Made a one years ago like it for servicing A/C systems in vehicles. I’ve been looking at stabilizing and i think ill have to make another one instead of forking over the cash. Oh and if you need more pine cones i live in colorado I’d be happy to walk out to my yard and pic a few up for you! Great work as always!

The skewering stick across the top was pure genius. I'm stealing that. Can you cut the resin blanks with a table saw, or will it chip out? I don't have a bandsaw and I'm loath to do it with a hand saw. My grandson sent me some pine cones he picked up in Florida (he's 3). I want to make him a knife with them for the scales.

I have a shit ton of tiny little baby pinecones that fall in my yard every year and have been fascinated with pinecones resin jewelry. Would it be possible to cut the cones prior to setting them in the resin? I'm just super reluctant to spend a buttload of money on the band saw and took I see many people using.
