On the one hand I think it's perfectly fine to wear something just because you like the style and you don't have to be a part of the group it represents (Not like the people who cry cultural appropriation if you wear, say, a saree to your prom). But at the same time you should be aware that other people will still make assumptions about you based on your apparel.
@ The thing is, she isn’t wearing just any style, she’s wearing a piece of clothing that identifies her with a religion/ideology. To take offense to being thought of as being part of the qun because she wears that would be like someone taking offense to being labelled as republican/democrat whilst wearing a pin or hat from that party.
@@nathanjora7627 No, I get that. My comment was confusing, please let me clarify. I should have said I'm fine with people wearing crosses as an accessory without being Christian. But you can't blame others for assuming you're Christian then.
@ Yeah for sure. Crosses are a bit special in the sense that Christianity is so omnipresent in the west that people are aware that you can wear crosses without being Christians even if it’s a pretty safe bet that cross = Christian, but agreed nonetheless.
Not only that, BG3 allows you to give some characters fate even worse than death. You can befriend Shadowheart (a victim of an evil, abusive cult), and she eventually grows to trust you, see you as a close, maybe only, friend, opens up to you and eventually she can even abandon her goddess, partially because she was inspired by your companionship. Then you can just backstab her and surrender Shadowheart to the cult who are hunting her, essentially allowing them to continue to abuse and torture her. Larian has balls, and allows making such evil choices that modern BioWare would be terrified to add to their game.
@franciscorafaelmontielpale7854 To be fair, almost all the companions are insufferable tosspots so we would be alone pretty fast. But then again that would spare us the horrible dialoge
You can definitely tell Taash is a self-insert because of how obnoxious that thing is. Taash has literally nothing to do with Sten and i still feel like Sten got done dirty.
Veilguard really embodies the concept of toxic positivity. You can't say anything mean because that could hurt someone's feelings. Only snarky banter with all the edges rounded off, at worst.
Remember the hurt and scared look in Sera's face if we kick her out of the Inquisition? Or how Leliana loses it and attacks us if we defile andrastes ashes? I miss those choices.
You can tell the Veilguard writers don't have their own challenging life experiences to draw inspiration from and instead have lived their lives vicariously through Marvel and Star Wars movies.
It's because those bad characters are self insert in Veil Guard, you can pick always the worst option but nothing happens, they won't stab you in the back or leave the party if they jave a quarrel with you
They don't even have to have any challenging experiences to write better than this. They could just take a single community college course, or read a book. Like, any book.
I think that clip alone would deter me from buying the game. Your stuck with an uncooperative character who's unlikable. At least in BG3 I could kill off those I don't trust (the vampire...) or those who take my awesome loot (the wizard).
And then the horrific abominations who want nothing more than to destroy all life would clap at how stunning and brave Taash is. Because being a 'bigot' is the worst thing imaginable
Decide nothing AND manage to also be side-lined as an NPC yourself considering how little you actually do get to interact in scenes and how many times the other characters get the spotlight.
@@lordadornable3607 you can tell the hunter that he's Astarion, but then tell Astarion it's okay because you're just going to kill him anyway. Once he's knocked out he's gone.

@@britt6184It also dooms the entire Gur tribe if you give Astarion to Gandrel. Cazador will slaughter their entire camp to retrieve him to be used in his ritual. So if you sold out Astarion in Act 1 you will find all of the Gur dead in Act 3 and the children who were turned into vampire spawn will never be able to see their parents again and their chances of their vampirism ever being cured is significantly lowered (and that is if Tav releases them.) It’s crazy but also very interesting how one choice in Act 1 can have such devastating consequences later on.
So the non binary character, who keeps making a big deal about how non binary they are, keeps insisting that females are better? They really used that Dragon King line 3 times?!?
Right? That line actually works as a taunt perfectly fine the first time but my god, it has the subtlety of a brick when you KEEP SAYING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN
She also dismisses multiple times the request of that necromancer dude to not call him death mage, when she insists on being referred to a specific way. She's as annoying as non-binaries in real life, so accurate.
Taash gotta be one of the worst written characters ever, not only in video games, but in any media. Horrible design, creepy, preachy, doesn't fit the universe, cringe out of place dialogues and the list goes on. Simply horrendous.
It’s because she’s a self insert. The creators made a character of their own personality thinking if people interacted with the character; they’d learn to love it. Even with all the negative reviews, I’m sure whoever it was that self inserted themselves still won’t see the issue and argue that it’s everyone else who’s wrong and annoying, not themselves.
I totally agree. My gripe is Taash behaves like a pre-teen No impulse control, super immature and naive. It's not just the wokeisms, it's that Taash overall is insufferable.
@@lulztr0n This. Non binary or trans character, I don't care and will just judge them on how good a character they are. Annoying and immature preachy character, burn it with fire.
BG3 gives you plenty of ways to deal with characters you don't like. You can outright kill them, but you can also insult them, screw them over, or - hold your breath! - convince them to be less annoying. For all their flaws, I still spent time with all of them and ended up caring about them in one way or another. We didn't always get along but we somehow found common ground. Some of them can straight up convert to a different religion based on your interactions. DAV characters, it looks like, have their one single belief and hold onto it throughout the game. And you don't get to tell them that it bothers you.
In fact my first impressions of all companions in BG3 was that they were annoying jackasses. Which is perfect. I mean Gale wants to smoke your magic items roflmao. And while we are on the topic, Karlach was so annoying as well, but her plot was the typical "this is so stupid, but if she cares about it that much, then so be it." Good characters all around.
DA2 even provided a great system to Dragon Age where player choice developed friendship or rivalry with companions. It was interesting listening to Fenris and Anders duke it out, showing how complicated the mage situation was. DAV comes off as cowardly in its inability to deal with disagreement and multiple perspectives.
@@Limrasson I don't get why people find Karlach annoying. She is your most typical barbarian, a socially awkward meathead, who solves most problems by punching a hole through them. She is probably the less screwed in head in the entire gang, despite having a literal demon steam engine stuck in her chest. Hell, you have a Boyscout prince, who got himself bamboozled by a demon and literally has his own mind locked down. Two religious fanatics of insane gods. A wizard who fucked a God, then screwed himself over, because he thought he could act like a god and now has a nuclear bomb stuck in his chest. A fucking vampire, who was non-stop tortured for 200 years and now is on a murder-hobo run. A she-nazi. A guy who fucks bears. An ancient anarchist elf. And a guy with a miniature giant hamster.
I cann't stop thinking. But what if the Dragon King is just a Queen that identifies as a King. Taash of all people should have thought of that. The hypocrisy of their writing.
Frankly, at this point Japanese RPGs that are way more traditional in gendering characters did better job - in Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Titania is King of Fae, but also they're from Pixie kin who don't have gender identification as such they don't really have gender, But they still have their beautiful sapling (player) who Forgets to ask them for help (asking fae folk to help is literally same as asking for a smoke person who is already holding canister full of gasoline over your head and ready to open it all on you - in fact, pixies can do just that already just to have a prank over you. If you die, that's your own fault!) Tbh, Larian decided to not tackle this theme altogether is better decision - they just decided to make best possible player-sexual characters!
I would rather accept Wulbren Bongle as a party member than Taash or Bellara. At least he talks like a person in a fantasy world rather than a Twitter user with no self awareness.
@ Wulbren is an asshole, but that’s clearly the intent of the writing. He abuses his label as a revolutionary to justify his selfish and destructive actions to himself and his followers. Meanwhile Taash and Bellara suck because the writers lack self awareness and nuance, making them not only VERY annoying, but making their dialogue feel very clumsy and unfitting for a fantasy world like Dragon Age. I’d rather have a well written stubborn evil character over a poorly written cringey nice character.
@@BenjaminBizarre I just started to hate him after the way he behaved with our boi barcus. Otherwise I'm cool With that guy in act 2 but he turns complete asshole in act 3. @@TheSilentsama The lead writer is an evil blue haired pansexual groomer freak that goes by they/them. Patrick Weekes. Calls itself "Trick." I am not joking.
That's one of the problems with many modern written characters, they do behave like that. Like that one, smacking that machine with a tool. "You know, reality years, wild magic". Okey, so you just failed at something and risked that in a hot-blooded anger. Am I really supposed to trust you with my life? Because that is the most immature thing to do possibile, like she has no control over her emotions. And that is one of many, way too many examples.
Have you played any Dragon Age games? Because the annoying characters are definitely the minority. Most of them are quite interesting and well written. But then again, looks like you only know the games from UA-cam compilations with no context
That's the thing. Taash demands acknowledging the non binaryness but Tash can't give a single f*ck to call Emmerich on his actual name. I can't take seriously or respect a character who is a huge whine hypocrite
I still remember meeting Gale when he was still in that portal and accidentally killing him by not being able to pull him out. I missed his entire storyline cuz of this. And you wouldn't get anything close to it in veilguard
This game is a glimpse into the future for when AI is writing everything. It's as if they trained a model on Joss Whedon's work and had it spit out these characters and dialogue that are just tropes on top of cliches. What's worse is Bellara is just Kaylee from Firefly, and they couldn't even copy her correctly
I thin kthe intention with the "Dragons don't have kings" line was supposed to come across as "Lookk at this idiot, he doesn't know shit about dragons." Unfortunately, that line wasn't nearly as good as the writers thought it was; not even the first time, and repeating it two more times doesn't make it better.
Being played the Quest, the one Taash kills with fire is the leader of the cult that is also called Dragon King. The goal is to ascend and embrace the Power of Dragon's kin That's It, nothing more. She just says that line in contrapposition to the male gender, it has nothing to do with the lore
Been playing the game for a few days now and honestly Taash is the worst character I’ve ever seen in my video game history. They’re childish, arrogant, insensitive and petty with a horrid design. The scene where you first meet with them and their mother felt like I was watching a child say “you can’t tell me what to do mom!” And they are supposed to be our “dragon expert”. The non binary aspect of their character was handled horribly and they execute it with such terrible insensitivity that I’ve ever seen. Bellara comes in second for me but no way near enough to Taash, I only dislike bellara because of the forced “quirky and weird” character type , that would better suit a Disney channel show. The other companions are okay, I would 100% sacrifice any of them if the opportunity presented itself.

If they could be bothered to incorporate choices from the previous games; we could’ve have awesome potential companions, like Morrigan’s son who maybe still has a part of the old god’s soul within him that gives him limited control of blighted enemies. A mage killer? Fenris could’ve returned there. Nathaniel Howe or Hawke’s sibling as a warden. Excitable Veil enthusiast? Dagna would’ve made sense. Maybe if Anders survived he’s joined the Venatori and the one attempting to bind spirits to mages. Otherwise sure have new characters in their stead; kinda like what they did for Mass Effect 3.

@@inquisitive6786 Absolutely and point well made, Conrad is meant to be cringe and annoying, and I congratulate the Bioware devs of that bygone era on the fine job they did and tactfully remind them that inentionally annoying is still annoying lol. But Taash is an example of mishandling a character and not having mastered how to make a character that is rough and abrasive but still likable, Grunt springs to mind. Taash is just a douche and is generally unlikable.
@@Drums_of_Liberation Probably an example of how creativity and good character design can get sufficated by pisspoor policies and bs "guidlines" for what they wanted for this game and character of Taash
In Rogue Trader if companions are annoying you can just take them and: kill them execute them throw into the void make them explode when they are using the explosives leave in the Commoragh (a dimension of Dark Eldars - known for torturing and inflicting pain on others)
So basically in Dragon Age: shitguard, you can't say anything bad or rude things to them, or they'll probably bitch out and cry because their "feelings" got hurt lol.
I say it was creepy more than anything... Also highlights this hypocrites. The writers of Veilguard, are the type of people who said hitting on people at the workplace is sexual harassment, and here they put a character that would make anyone call the police.
I cringed so hard at the implied romance of Harding and Taash. It was so much better with Dorian and The Iron Bull in Inquisition. Like yeah some banter sounded awkward when Bull would flirt, but it the awkward that shocks you and makes you laugh once you realize what he is implying. They have such a nice enemies to lovers progression through their banter and I adore them getting together in any play through where I’m not romancing them
NOT TO MENTION THE ROMANCE SCENES. The writers were ABSOLUTELY sleeping on the job bc there is ZERO subtlety or “blink and you’ll miss it” moments in veilguard. If you watch all the romances playthroughs on youtube, all the veilguard characters are copy and pasted, from the scenes of them confronting each other, to the kisses, then blacking out to the aftercare. They put NO effort into making each character feel unique other than for gags or pertaining to their faction. Thats what really bits. Plus for Taash, they tried to make them this dominant domineering lover while also making them insecure and self doubting? That doesn’t even fit for their character in the slightest, having taash be this string character on the outside while needing support from their romance route to know that they are okay and being gentle would have fit so much more. Yeesh this game is a train wreck
Nearly every BG3 character has charm, charisma, and/or is relatable in some way. And if you don’t like them for some reason you can kill or abandon them 😂 ChadskyBG3 vs the βεταDAV
BG3: 'Hey, we spent a lot of time trying to make characters you'd like and feel excited to engage with. But if you really don't like them, you can do all sorts of crap to them or simply not have them in your party at all.' Veilguard: 'Our characters are the best characters because they're sassy, clumsy, and speak their mind, no matter how brash and rude they seem. Also, you're not allowed to dislike them because they're diverse so that would make you a bigot. Now buy this game or you're literally Donald Trump's asshole tongue-cleaner.'
"Not like I follow the Qun." "You've got the arm-ropes." "Sure. I Wear a lot of stuff." So, Taash wears decorations donned every day in a religious ritual - a ritual of a faith she does not hold; a faith that is a cornerstone, if not _the entire foundation_ of a rich and ancient culture she does not consider herself to be a part of - because she _likes_ them, not because they're an important symbol of the core of her worldview or because she deeply respects what they represent. There's... a _term_ for this idea, isn't there?
Veilguard might be good and it might not. I haven't played it and have no intention of playing it until I can get the ultimate edition on sale on Steam for like $5 or something. That said, I wish developers would get out of this mindset of "we don't want players to miss content". Missing stuff, or having consequences for certain choices, is part of what makes RPGs good. In BG3, you can refuse to save all your companions. You can also make choices that will result in them leaving. So their particular part of the story is just gone. And that's okay. That's what making choices means.
Exactly. During my first playthrough I straight up ignored Wyll's quest in act I and didn't even know Karlach is a potential companion until I saw someone mention it on the internet. It only made the second playthrough better, and the first one still felt 100% coherent.
You don't get those choices in dragon garbage veilguard, you get to be a good boy and just be a Yes man to everything. No indifference to party members because that's very wrong in Biowate game. Utter joke to call this an RPG, my teammates can't even die.
All I know is that I had genuine moments of rage, sadness and depression playing Baldurs Gate 3. Sobbing at the end of Astarion's companion quest or shouting at my screen frustrated by Laezel's defense of her goddess Vlaaktith who's done nothing but use her. The only emotions I felt during Veilguard were some chuckles and a whole lot eye rolling. So disappointed with Veilguard..
I thought Bella was annoying , until I met tash , some of the lamest characters ever, tash is truly awful , her personality should of been written so much better
@ Bella is the female elf character that acts like strange cartoon parody of a person , but in a cringy unfunny way, makes you wish for the BG3 option to ditch companions , Lucanis and neve are the only ones I enjoy at all , even emmrich I want to like but they just make everything so exaggerated with no edge no bite , like a Saturday morning cartoon of characters
Your actual points aside... Any time I see someone write "should of" rather than "should've", I immediately picture someone who loudly chews with their mouth open.
Little did modern Bioware know that their original title from the late 90's would end up setting the bar way higher than they could ever achieve. Bioware, Bethesda, Rocksteady, etc all ride on the talents of employees that left a long time ago.
Dragon Age the Veilguard writing is... Freaking terrible... They don't even talk like a fantasy setting. Completely abandoned the core of their franchise for... What ever that was.

Yep, Será was the most annoying remember of Inquisition and honestly a pain to talk to. she had her moments but the bad ones really were more... Still at least the game was aware of that and you could kick her off any time you could.
In old dragon age games, you could refuse to add characters to your party and send them on their way... let me guess... you can't do that in this game cn you? They are forced into your party and you have to put up with them... am i right?
Dragon age origin's story and dialogue is filled with stories of life, moral choices, traumatic experiences, discrimination, estranged relationship, questions about the morality of the creator, the greyness of good and evil, and you can relate it all with things happening in real life. Dragon age veilguard makes us watch people yelling and complaining, no inspiration, no life lessons, no morality, zero emotion. While dragon age origins gave you a roller coaster of emotions. Just an example, the human noble storyline in Dragon age origins. I have caring parents in real life, so it's relateable, but at the end of the human noble origin story... Arl howe decided to betray the family, and the mother and father died fighting so the player can escape. This hits me so hard, I'm really angry at Arl Howe, Dragon Origin is just a game, but it can Invoke so much emotion and motivation.

Nah, he absolutely was annoying when I first met him. Had nothing but shit to give when I stuck my neck out for others and often had something snarky to say about it. His only saving grace that kept him alive in my camp was his charisma. I only came to like him when I progressed his questline, and he's now one of my favourite companions because of how well-written his story and character are.
Seeing people's comments, I think Taash is doing more damage to people's perception of non-binary people than it is informing people, as I assume was intended. This is not a positive representation.
To be clear, there needs to be more trans representation in media. But the representation should make people understand and empathise with these characters. So they will rethink how they perceive people who are like them in real life. How they handled Dorian's storyline in DAI is a great example.
Well I think it’s more the fact that it wasn’t done in a lore friendly way. It’s also not solely because Taash is non-binary, it’s due to the fact that they act like a stroppy and abrasive 13 yr old yet they expect respect in return, Taash gave Emmrich shit for being a necromancer and perceived that to be who he is, but you can’t tell Taash what they are. It’s a hypocritical attitude and no one likes that. So really, it’s not because they’re non-binary, it’s because they’re unlikeable. There was a trans character in DA Inquisition, yet that wasn’t brought up randomly and none of the characters made a big deal about it. It wasn’t central to the plot, as it is with Taash, because the world revolves around them. That’s what people don’t like. BioWare could’ve easily handled it better in a lore friendly and interesting way, but they really did shoot themselves in the foot here. I agree that more representation is a good thing, but not when it craps on the lore of a well established series. They weren’t subtle about pushing certain narratives, and in a fantasy driven game, I can understand how that can piss off fans.
@@Rose_D Op's point is that Taash's gross unlikeability is what's further damaging people's perception of queer folk. This is why I hate it when people in the community say they're okay with _any_ kind of representation, because it allows things like this to slip through and cause more harm than good, but people jump through hoops to defend it because "they're being inclusive". Either do it well, or don't bother having it at all.

Elves are like mythological fantasy of "greater men", in european folklore: pale, tall, beautiful, graceful, wise, longer lived, incorruptible. So what better way to virtue signal "I AM NOT A RACIST!" than to mix them with black people.

And while we are on the topic, Karlach was so annoying as well, but her plot was the typical "this is so stupid, but if she cares about it that much, then so be it."
Good characters all around.
Well I think the main problem is BG3 is categorized as an RPG whereas dragon age should have been categorized as a visual novel.
@@becongeneral An extremely crappy visual novel.

Been playing the game for a few days now and honestly Taash is the worst character I’ve ever seen in my video game history.

If they could be bothered to incorporate choices from the previous games; we could’ve have awesome potential companions, like Morrigan’s son who maybe still has a part of the old god’s soul within him that gives him limited control of blighted enemies. They have such a nice enemies to lovers progression through their banter and I adore them getting together in any play through where I’m not romancing them
And that is why I'm romancing Harding in my playthrough. No one should have to deal with Traash
There's... a _term_ for this idea, isn't there?
It only made the second playthrough better, and the first one still felt 100% coherent.
this game is trash, why is it so hard for people to say it?
@@nachohansen9416 I can’t say that because I haven’t played it. See how that works?
You don't get those choices in dragon garbage veilguard, you get to be a good boy and just be a Yes man to everything.
No indifference to party members because that's very wrong in Biowate game.
Utter joke to call this an RPG, my teammates can't even die.
It's not going to have an ultimate edition because it won't have any DLC or expansions. They confirmed it.
Who's Bella?
@ Bella is the female elf character that acts like strange cartoon parody of a person , but in a cringy unfunny way, makes you wish for the BG3 option to ditch companions , Lucanis and neve are the only ones I enjoy at all , even emmrich I want to like but they just make everything so exaggerated with no edge no bite , like a Saturday morning cartoon of characters
Your actual points aside...
Any time I see someone write "should of" rather than "should've", I immediately picture someone who loudly chews with their mouth open.
@@Lowraith you and tash would of made good friends seems like 😎😇
@wackywarrior001
Taash DEFINITELY chews loudly with their mouth open, so hard pass.
My good friend minthara is the funniest person I know.
Yeah a real peach its a mystery why people don't like her...
7:49 I thought this was a weird glitch at first. lel
No, just UA-cam being as safe as Veilguard...
They really set out to make Taash the most annoying character in the entire game.
What ever that was.
sounds like Saints row reboot
Veilguard feels like MCU dialogue.
Also, once again having an unvoiced PC is key.
Even MCU dialogue doesnt make me cringe this much.
I think voiced pc has its placed in rpg like mass effect and cyberpunk 2077 while being established but still has a path or choice they would become would immersed you in, absolutely not like fallout 4- (cough cough) i mean veilguard.
@@user-ot8wl7oh9s Voiced PC is superior in every way. Imagine RDR2 if Arthur wasnt voiced. An unvoiced PC is a money saving method AAA games studios frankly cant justify anymore. It's not a creative decision it's them being cheap.
@@anon4854 Rdr2 is a very different game and the protagonist is already an established character there are still choice you could make but it isn't to a level of roleplaying games.
Non voiced protagonist also has its placed in rpgs and it isn't laziness it would be distracting and annoying if your character expression delivering a dialogue isn't the same as what you had in mind when picking the choice and its why most people hate voiced protagonist in rpg games because it stripped away the roleplay.
Baldur's Gate 3 already have voiced characters but it is a creative choice that they don't speak during dialogue when you're playing as them, as a way so there's no dissonance between the player and the player character.
@@anon4854ain’t no way MCU would’ve ever taken off if it had dialogue this bad 💀
Comparing Veilguard writing with BG3 or Witcher 3 is like comparing a dragon with a chihuahua.
Nah. BG3 writing is mediocre. The strong characters in Veilguard are better written than the weak BG3 characters, at least
@@donglegs biggest cope I have read in a while.
@@reizu1608 Why? That means Veilguard has worse writing than a game with average writing
@@donglegsaverage? Nah man BG3 has great writing
@@draconicusmathiusanytherio7630 I guess it depends what we’re comparing it to. A lot of video game writing is god awful, but I think most RPGs have better writing than BG3. The story is meh, and the dialogue has the same issue as Veilguard of being overly quippy and cartoony, just not on the same cringe-inducing level. It’s silly and entertaining, and that’s fine. It’s Larian’s thing.
Oh the good old time when I decided to sold off fenris because of his view about mage totally against my viewpoint and thing start to get a bit intense :))
I love that the non-binary character is completely insufferable-it really is the best and most accurate representation of non-binary people in gaming
Non binary period , t's accurate representation of anyone who claims non binary.
There are only two genders in biology.
Most non binary people (and yes, I actually know and am friends with non binary and trans peeps) care less about the whole trans topic than you anti woke people. It is like it has become your whole personality to complain.
funniest thing to me is if you really want non binary characters just make them not care about all of that, actions speak more effectively than words
I'm trusting that's sarcasm about the accurate representation, right?

1:00 I don't want to be called boy or girl, but I'm going to do it to dragons. 😂
Yeah, he IDENTIFIES as Dragon King, she/it doesn't have the right to tell him what he is!
The same goes for this moment: 0:35
She spends a lot of time saying that you should respect someone's identity, and still refuses to respect her own mom's request to be called by her name
I'm pretty sure her mom identifies herself by her name, and yet they still refuses to do it, ironic isn't...?
I’ve only seen that Dragon Lady for like 3 minutes and I already disliked them immensely
I hate lazy writing when characters just said , "this is my thing or stuff" even in GOW Ragnarok angrabodda just answer it with , "is giant stuff" without explanation
guess which writing consultant both gow and dragon age devs requested help.
Erm...the darkspawn's right behind me, isn't he?
That just happened.
Dragon king gets burned alive but his moans made it sound sexual
That part sounds horrible, he is moaning instead of screaming in pain.
I don't even understand a dragon dies in such a pathetic way in the first place.
Sounds like a dark souls death moan
They couldn't give you the choise to kill followers in Veilguard because 4 hours in, you'd have a party of 1.
Все таки Инквизиция была не такой плохой игрой. Я смог в той игре выгнать из команды назойливую эльфийку лучницу и я не разу не жалел об этом
Me too 😂
We got to punch the Diva out of Solas 💀
Yep, Será was the most annoying remember of Inquisition and honestly a pain to talk to. she had her moments but the bad ones really were more... Still at least the game was aware of that and you could kick her off any time you could.
If Veilguard allowed you to get rid of companions I think it would've had speedruns on killing companions.
3:44 I hate this character, so much. And American fantasy VA doesn’t work sometimes. It’s awful here
That's how all of her DnD characters are too. It's awful
In old dragon age games, you could refuse to add characters to your party and send them on their way... let me guess... you can't do that in this game cn you? They are forced into your party and you have to put up with them... am i right?
Yes
As someone pointed out in another video, it really feels like all of vielguards dialogue is made with HR in the room.
Asterion is such a good fucking voice actor.
6:22 wtf is harding doing, this scene looks absolute shite

My intro to dragon age was inquisition and while i wasnt in on ground floor, i loved it. but this is not something i can back
I'm looking forward to part two with Liazel and Halsin.
1:33 When mommy won’t buy you McDonalds.
Astarion is not annoying. He is simply dangerous to have around.
Shadowheart to me, but mostly because she hides a lot of secrets and it seems she picks the fights with Lazael instead of the Lazael picking the fights with her
@@BarsusDraco strong disagree, I can’t stand the smug bastard. But! I can see why people like him even if I don’t personally, unlike Traash
Atleast he didnt try to really kill Tav like Laezel. He will not explode like Gale (we can not know when he gonna explode unless meet Elminster, so we just take risk). And dont forget Shart will try to kill Laezel and won't stop if you dont pass check (low charisma, dead Laezel, reload twice).
I thought Traash was gonna be a cheap knock-off of Karlach. Turns out she’s even worse than expected.

"You don't tell me who I am." *Refuses to call Emmrich by his name and uses "Death Mage" instead which he clearly dislikes*
Taash talks like a wannabe gangster and walks like wannabe gangster. Truly the embodiment of California angst.
I have my gripes about Taash but this one's kinda dumb dawg. Like, what phrases scream wannabe gangster to you 😂
"Dragons dont have kings, they have a person that rules over dragons"
*BREATHS FIRE 🔥*
@@Rose_D
Op's point is that Taash's gross unlikeability is what's further damaging people's perception of queer folk. This is why I hate it when people in the community say they're okay with _any_ kind of representation, because it allows things like this to slip through and cause more harm than good, but people jump through hoops to defend it because "they're being inclusive".
Either do it well, or don't bother having it at all.

ARE ONE OF THEIR PARENTS A REAVER WHO DRANK DRAGON BLOOD ENERGY DRINKS EVERY NOW AND THEN? IS IT A DONKEY BARD SCENARIO?
Who am I kidding, the devs and writers of this game wouldn't know a Nug from their own reflection. The moment I saw how they made the Pride Demon, another question on why tf they look like that now for later, and the fact they added a Griffon, you know the LORE ESTABLISHED EXTINCT SPECIES OF DRAGON AGE, I had a feeling that these people would take the established lore and world building of the series and shit on it.

Can anyone explain multiracial elves? Why would all these very distant tribes end up mixed?
They, apparently, appear first in the comics and book and then they shoehorn them in the games.
Elves are like mythological fantasy of "greater men", in european folklore: pale, tall, beautiful, graceful, wise, longer lived, incorruptible.
So what better way to virtue signal "I AM NOT A RACIST!" than to mix them with black people.
