I'm still watching this in 2024, and all i can say is i like the Airbus A330neo, especially Condor ❤ because it has a beautiful liveries and service is amazing . By the way, those RR Trent 7000's are amazing. i flew recently from Mauritius to Frankfurt. All i can say is that i passed a great time on board. Condor 10/10 ❤ Nice video, mate
Nice video. I also like the engine sounds. RR Trent engines have the best spool up sounds. On the other hand, GE CF6, PW4000 series and PWJT9D sounds like giant refrigerators and so I don’t like these engines. Even for A330, I like the RR-powered variants.
Hello ! I was wondering why the engine sound changes at approximately 4:20. It sounds like the speed goes down. If so, why does the speed go down that soon during take-off? if someone knows I appreciate your answer!
Hello and thanks for watching! Usually after takeoff pilots reduce the thrust because of a few reasons. One, to increase engine life because they dont need to be running at full power the entire climb and wearing out parts, and two, to use less fuel. During takeoff you want the most thrust to get off the ground as quick as possible, and once you don't need that power, you can reduce it to increase engine reliability and decrease fuel burn. Hope this helps! :D
@@wingsleveladventures Thank you so much for your answer ! It does make sense. I'm an nervous flyer so these kinds of videos and your explanation help me a lot ! thanks again :)
Fully correct, although it doesnt reduce fuel burn as you need more to time climb. Airbus even states that derated climbs result in higher overall fuel burn. They do it to save the engine solely:)
