Except for the crafting, this game became a quite the wonder in itself. İ just wonder if they will live up to the expectations of the fans. Time will tell.
I love this! I would definitely watch more videos like this. I have about 250 hours in this game and didn't know about half of these. There are a lot of little details in the maps and you can really tell that the dev team put their hearts into their work. My favorite detail is a dead ogryn with a dead poxhound on top of him, and there's a knife in the back of the poxhound.
Also when you enter the map, you saw not only Nurgle symbol but also CHAOS UNDIVIDED. Hinted that despite the hive be infected by Nurgle, the one behind of this is a follower of Failbaddon and we may also encountered cultists of the 3 remaining chaos gods in future.
Fun fact they only use corpse starch in very very very extreme cases because the empire abhors cannibalism so tbh it’s likely not that and is a normal ration.
@@jimmybuba2683constant border wars and a civil war in the hive really aren't bad enough to justify corpse starch when the trade lanes are likely still open
@@ThatRatBastard Indeed. Also IG has normal rations, and we got the Moebian 21st on our side. I'm sure the Inquisition gives actual rations out to us at least at level 30, as we are an inquisition kill team then.
This is incorrect. Hive cities, at least all but the high upper classes, have almost nothing else to eat other than corpse starch and perhaps a sort of fungal mass. And that's because there literally is nothing else. These planets, despite having billions and billions of people on them, are dead worlds, polluted beyond saving. Nothing grows there. The surface is unlivable. The atmosphere is unbreathable. The soil is toxic beyond hope of supporting any sort of agriculture. So, the only food other than corpse starch/Soylens Viridians that exists on these hive worlds is food grown on another planet and shipped in. And as you can imagine, that is both limited and expensive. So your average boiler-room worker will never once taste it in their entire lives. Straight from the wiki page on corpse starch: "Soylens Viridians is a bland but otherwise filling and somewhat nutritious vat-grown foodstuff whose main ingredient is usually a form of green algae. It is also known as a type of corpse-starch as it is said to sometimes also be made from Human corpses, mixed with random dead animals, plants, and other sources of dead biomatter typically disposed of in hive cities to be recycled into food to lessen waste. Soylens Viridians is a common staple among underhives, military rations, and other places where high demand for food meets low standards for taste."
would be nice to see more maps and missions. Not everything needs to be inside the hive city or be huge and grand. Mines, canions, battlefields, sewage treatment plant's, or any other thing on the surface could add a huge amount of "easy" diversity to the game. And could be relativly fast to make. Instead of maps like the grand acrhive or the newest map "The carneval". They could do Rescue, assist, search and destroy, deliever amunition/explosives missions. Just anything to vastly increase the pool of maps and missions. Because it seriously feels like you are running the same maps over and over several times in a row even when you are not. Then it would also be nice to see more cloths and weapons types added to the base game, so you have more to chose from. Meybe even armour that have an acual effect in game.
There is also in fact a cover mount mechanic. If you crouch near any sort if barricade, crate, e.t.c. that is serving an obstacle, as a Veteran, and scope in on gun that has scoping, you can peek over it and have seemingly lesser recoil then when you were without it, as well as just being able to shoot from cover, like those pesky heretics do.
You missed a servitor. In the Psykhanium room behind Sefoni. Hes working on a monitor and has been there since the release of the game. As a side note some players suspect that a servitor might be the 5th class.
One cool detail is, when in the lvl 30 cutscene our character is threaten by Rannick pointing his gun towards us, our character does not move. As stated in the prologue, our character " is a loyal servant of the throne" and such, has nothing to fear from the inquisition. While the traitor reacts quite differently.
Not a "streamer" or content creator. I loved this game from the get go (I bought 2 copies for friends, a copy for my son and one for myself) and the flow of combat is awesome. I believe that when my entire team gets killed, most of the time, it's a skill issue. But there are times where it's a 40K conclusion and THAT is what makes me come back all the damn time. I rage in most games when we get wiped out but in this game, I can relax because it's just 40K being 40K. You sir have made the game better because it will force me (and my son) to look for those details, Thank you.
There is a 4th firefight visable. On assassinate chasm terminus bridge, look on the right side, two bridges away with the leman russ tank you got a group firing. Also on its either Ascension rider or archives you can see an inquisitonal strike team at the start. Going down an elevator. Thanks for the video its a good watch.
I don't think Rannick is a bad shot but in fact a very good one, he nailed the traitor in the spine just under the neck, my theory is she was alive but paralysed so Rannick captured her, interrogated her and turned her into a servitor once he got what he wanted, leaving her a grim reminder for all the rejects "There are fates worse than death." Maybe even using any intel he got from her in the traitor's curse missions, like the stims cache or the drug lab. Makes sense seeing as he would make sure if she was working alone or if there were more traitors among the rejects.
Interesting that the traitor is labelled "Atonement unit" after being shot. It absolutely says she was turned into this to atone for her treachery and probably knows about it 100%.
I’m sad to have finally found the sad truth of the ending life of the squad of guards from the Moebian 21st recon team we can see in the trailer… sad to see that they didn’t made their way out..
Why do people want to play this like it’s COD??? Or trigger enemies then run off leaving one player to pic up the pieces so when you catch them up all the ammo’s gone! There’s some really bad natured player’s out there, no concept of team work is!!!
I'm tired of fighting a horde and then I notice I am alone because the rest of the team just rushed through, then they act surprised when they get sorrounded by enemies

Last mission, couple of high 20 somethings decided to defend up next to the button. They got us all killed. Then called everybody noobs. Twats.
I blame the modern gamers attention span. If they aren't getting that constant dopamine drip they go crazy. Trying to get pubbies to hold a defensive line is like pulling teeth.

Great video. You should consider getting the Free Camera mod and Disable Hud mod to check out these details closer - i know that's what I'll be doing tonight!
You should do a vid on speculative hints of the genestealer cults, ive seen two things so far in the new carnival map alone, one being the shaped charge you use to blow a whole into the building and the goliath rock crusher parked outside it, both are objects used by the GSC in tabletop
The GSC Wolfquad ATVs are also in some of the original maps. I think the ATVs and the Goliath arent necessarily proof of GSC presence on Atoma though, but more proof that, since they're not really a "military" force, the GSC just use whatever civilian equipment they can get their three hands on.
@@shartsmcginty8056Pretty much this, they’re generally founded in civilian circles initially and thus look to arm and militarise what ever equipment they can get their hands on. That being said, GSC and Tyranids in general worked for the Deathwatch fps game, so wouldn’t be hard to convert it to the “Vermintide” format.
Yknow, that's something I wished they would have made you do; actually go to the docket cosmetic shop so you could see the traitor pre-30. I never visited it once prior to that, so I didn't realize that servitor was her.
I wanted to include this one! Though in my last few runs in that map, they seem to be gone - it’s just a dark empty elevator now for me ☠️ not sure if it is a bug or if they have been patched out
This game is so much fun, but at the same time kind of a let down with how big the universe is and how "little" content there is. Should be at least 2 more classes, and the fact I spent most my time on the past couple days just running the same mission over and over again, even after switching difficulty quickplay just kept loading the same mission up. 2 new classes and like 5 new mission types would be perfect
in regards to our friend being stabbed by a nurgle blade: it's not a nurgle blade any more than all the knives we get poked with. they're just regular knives in the hands of nurgle cultists, so they're probably just regular filthy for the vast majority of the time.
This is one of the reasons I want solo with bots. So I can take my damn time and enjoy the immersion. Devs need to knock it TF off with forced multiplayer/multiplayer only. It's beyond obnoxious.
Here's something I'd like your opinion on. Do you think, since the Necromancer got introduced into Vermintide, that we might be getting a techpriest and servitor class in Darktide?
I am extremely hopeful that a tech-priest / skitarii class will be introduced in the future, I think it would fit nicely and use those new Vermintide mechanics perfectly (using servitors as minions)
"immersive and engaging dialogue" Not at all, there are 0 roleplaying aspects in the game outside of what one might do between another player outside of the games mechanics. The dialogue serves as little more than background noise during a mission, 95% of it is throw away, with itty bitty hints at the very sparse story we're treated to. "Oh, there was a transmission intercepted" "Oh, they say we got trouble on the ship." "Oh, harrow did stuff in his past" Subtle hints indeed, aside from the most recent cinematic, we haven't even been treated to named baddies, and they STILL don't exist in missions as adversaries. Just one off boring assassination mission targets, easily stomped in melee. Vermintide's mission set ups are still the peak of fatshark, and they took a massive step in the opposite direction with these one off forgettable samey recycled missions. I still quite enjoy darktide, but if I were not a huge warhammer fan, or co-op shooter fan, I'd probably find it extremely boring. I only got back into it with the skill tree reworks, and quit playing only about 3 months after the initial launch

Except for the crafting, this game became a quite the wonder in itself. İ just wonder if they will live up to the expectations of the fans. Time will tell.
Awesome video, didn't realize the servitor was the traitor. Would love more videos like this
I have pretty non stop played the game since release last year and I've loved every second of it. It's incredible
Wouldnt Atoma qualify seeing as they are constantly on the fringe wars and all that, i can't recall the exact details
Straight from the wiki page on corpse starch:
"Soylens Viridians is a bland but otherwise filling and somewhat nutritious vat-grown foodstuff whose main ingredient is usually a form of green algae.
The whole corpse starch thing just seems grim derp. Needlessly dark just to be dark.
The new map has 3 of them bells that I've spotted
450 hours and i didnt notice some of them
The fact you can a veteran setup and looking like a member of the death korp of krieg is awesome.
Yeah I bought those uniforms.
Except for the ogryn. Grabbed a different uniform for him.
The ball and bell in the bonus Easter egg. I think it's a vermin tide reference.
Kinda wish we could support some the npcs in battles
would be nice to see more maps and missions.
Great vid im ashamed of the amount of hours i have in game and never saw most of this stuff. Keep up the great work!
Glad to hear it mate ❤️ there are plenty of details that I missed as well!
I won't lie finding that other firefight was only possible because I was looking for your first one on the wrong mal 😂
Such beautiful and stunning map design. It’s a shame literally everyone in the game rushes forward immediately and dies without seeing any of it
I don't think Rannick is a bad shot but in fact a very good one, he nailed the traitor in the spine just under the neck, my theory is she was alive but paralysed so Rannick captured her, interrogated her and turned her into a servitor once he got what he wanted, leaving her a grim reminder for all the rejects "There are fates worse than death." Maybe even using any intel he got from her in the traitor's curse missions, like the stims cache or the drug lab. Makes sense seeing as he would make sure if she was working alone or if there were more traitors among the rejects.
Great point
Interesting that the traitor is labelled "Atonement unit" after being shot. It absolutely says she was turned into this to atone for her treachery and probably knows about it 100%.
I’m sad to have finally found the sad truth of the ending life of the squad of guards from the Moebian 21st recon team we can see in the trailer… sad to see that they didn’t made their way out..
Great video. Keep up the good work.
@@matapavosgamer I agree, or they moan that they’ve got to come back and revive you or get a dog off you or you got done by a trapper who joined the hoard! Like I say, no concept of teamwork 👍
Ammo stealer’s… do zealots and pyskers need that much ammo???
The amphitheatre...
Once you start opening the roof, if you go back to where you came in, you can defend that area without anyone climbing up your backside.
Suppression also doesn't work on normal Melee Only enemies, besides the Groaners.
Oh and a funny detail is that the green health stimm's icon is just the chaos symbol crossed out lol. I guess crossing out the symbol is enough to purify them for our use
Great video. You should consider getting the Free Camera mod and Disable Hud mod to check out these details closer - i know that's what I'll be doing tonight!
Thanks mate! Just installed the Disable Hud mod, appreciate the recommendation
Here's hoping they add some genestealers and new maps, as im enjoying the game a lot but its a little bareboned to recommend to others
I had thought that the crashed train was due to the rejects redirecting it earlier in the mission
I had no idea that that was the case with the traitor. It was under ny nose the whole time.
I would love running into a Guard patrol. Have them shouting "FRIENDLY! FRIENDLY!" as you approach
One time i was under the map by a glitch and there’s details under the map too 😂 that’s crazy how much details have on this game fr
Glorious work, mate. Impressive.
Yknow, that's something I wished they would have made you do; actually go to the docket cosmetic shop so you could see the traitor pre-30. I never visited it once prior to that, so I didn't realize that servitor was her.
Hehe mama hadron
Weird coincedence, I've just finished a game playing alongside Waynoke, and you've some footage of the player in the video.
Great content, subscribed!
Thanks mate! ❤️
Where is the elevator squad easter egg?
I wanted to include this one! Though in my last few runs in that map, they seem to be gone - it’s just a dark empty elevator now for me ☠️ not sure if it is a bug or if they have been patched out
This game is so much fun, but at the same time kind of a let down with how big the universe is and how "little" content there is. Should be at least 2 more classes, and the fact I spent most my time on the past couple days just running the same mission over and over again, even after switching difficulty quickplay just kept loading the same mission up. 2 new classes and like 5 new mission types would be perfect
I wish the idle soldiers fought back. I wondered if they would when i lured some enemies over to them on one of the chasm terminus maps but they didnt
I am with you 100% - very underwhelming when they just watch me get torn to pieces in front of them
@@dystopianchimp maybe they dont think we're worth spending the ammunition on to save lol
@@everythingsalright1121 haha honestly that is probably true, four crazy stimm addicted convicts probably aren't worth the drama
i still think zola is the true traitor it makes more sense as the traitor. alot of back and forth about genestealer cults and zola for me to ignore
They call it out that it's their tank in the voice lines.
man playing with randoms i'll get a ton of pings from everyone as they sit in the elevator and i'm just looking around....
I hope Darktide gets a new enemy factions like tyranid gene-stealers cult
If only the game had a Solo mode, all groups are always rushing...
I had to check if the video speed was on .75... its not. I'm now watching this at 1.25x lol good content though!
Yeah he speaks slower.
Is nice, that.
in regards to our friend being stabbed by a nurgle blade: it's not a nurgle blade any more than all the knives we get poked with. they're just regular knives in the hands of nurgle cultists, so they're probably just regular filthy for the vast majority of the time.
Will play it after it gets solo with pause.
IN THY MASTERS NAME! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It'd be nice if the *game* delved into the lore of the game, so we didn't need to come to youtube to experience it.
I think I have to install the offline mod to explore the maps in peace.
There's an offline mod? Neat...
They go through the suppression mechanic in the tutorial.
This is one of the reasons I want solo with bots. So I can take my damn time and enjoy the immersion. Devs need to knock it TF off with forced multiplayer/multiplayer only. It's beyond obnoxious.
do you think that the traitor could have caused more havoc considering she was dishing out cosmetics
They should make a solo mode with bots
Thanks, honeybuns
Here's something I'd like your opinion on.
Do you think, since the Necromancer got introduced into Vermintide, that we might be getting a techpriest and servitor class in Darktide?
That would be cool
Admech get cooler stuff than us... skitarri are radioactive and kinda hate the inquisition
Or genestealers that fight nurgle…
I am extremely hopeful that a tech-priest / skitarii class will be introduced in the future, I think it would fit nicely and use those new Vermintide mechanics perfectly (using servitors as minions)
I doubt it due to how they made the dynamic dialogue system.
Ding Ding!!!!
Really hope they add a ratling player to the list. Someone that can be as annoying as the damn snipers are
YEAAAAH BOOOIII NEW CHIMP VIDYAAA🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is hadron breed-able?
Hopefully that’s the next DLC
@@dystopianchimp lol
Number 9 isn’t a missed detail, its a spoiler…
It's a missed detail if you got all your character slots up to level 30 before they made the change.
i love this game so ,uch
❤
"immersive and engaging dialogue"
Not at all, there are 0 roleplaying aspects in the game outside of what one might do between another player outside of the games mechanics.
The dialogue serves as little more than background noise during a mission, 95% of it is throw away, with itty bitty hints at the very sparse story we're treated to.
"Oh, there was a transmission intercepted"
"Oh, they say we got trouble on the ship."
"Oh, harrow did stuff in his past"
Subtle hints indeed, aside from the most recent cinematic, we haven't even been treated to named baddies, and they STILL don't exist in missions as adversaries.
I only got back into it with the skill tree reworks, and quit playing only about 3 months after the initial launch
how much did they paid you to say positive things about this ds? 300+hs I was on the closed beta and I bought the imperium dlc. And now I can't rejoin games that the game disconnected me because it crash.
Remember that the game was crashing when it were projectiles flying
I actually noticed the vibrant clothing on the groaners literally yesterday, what a coincidence
You can get fancy pants for your psycher with the same cloth pattern.
Wondering if he didn't steal the threads off a dead pox groaner. Psychers.... These filthy freaks need to be stopped.
this video really surprised me a lot on what i thought i knew already but theres so much i missed,... i hope there's more darktide content coming
