Project Coordinators, Project Controllers, Project Officers, Project Admins - large projects need someone skilled with data and administration to support the team and the Project Manager. It can be a career role for some, but for most, it is a learning stage in your career. But, what is the job and what do you need to do, to do it well?

Thank you, Mike. I got stuck in a job that offered NO path to being a PM so I need an easier entry to sharpen my tools.

I've got an interview for a PC role in 7 days, it will be my first PM role. I'll be taking notes and watching more than once. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I am studying project management and planning to take a pc role to learn more and manage my own project in the future.

Hi Mike, I have a PC, doing all that you have mentioned - increasingly they wonder what the project manager is doing when they seem to be doing the bulk of the work; such as scheduling, tracking budget/resource hours etc. Can you please make a video exploring the differential between the roles of PM and PC. Thank you in advance. (FYI I’m based in the UK and working on UK Gov projects)

Good topic. I've added it to my backlog, but it may be a while 😕
So, in short, with a good PC, the PM can focus on strategic issues, team leadership, dealing with client/sponsor and governance tiers, and stakeholder engagement.

You need a good, basic, project management course or book. If you like the style of my videos, then my own courses will be ideal for you. Have a look at my core PM programs: onlinepmcourses.com/core-project-management-courses/ - particularly the Skills Mastery level - maybe the Immersion Program
My basic book on the topic is How to Manage a Great Project: On budget. On target. On time. geni.us/4Iz6M
