I watched this after I had just purchased this model. I was scared!! but I LOVE the machine. I can't understand why the drying time was so long unless you had the machine too full. it sounds like it's too small for your big family, but for us, and I live with a dog and a cat, we are very happy with the performance. it's a GREAT machine!!
We have 2 dogs and we too have this machine. However we don’t expect the washer to separate the hair from the clothing. We brush our dogs at least twice a week and then use a lint brush to remove hair from our clothing before throwing the clothes in the hamper. What little hair gets into the washer has never been a problem. We also love this machine. It’s in our motor home and we tell everyone about how much we like the cleaning quality of this washer.
I've had zero issues with mine... just a little over 3 hours a load. You may be overloading it or you're not cleaning out the pump filter as required, those two things alone will dramatically affect the drying time. The dryer in these do not operate like a traditional 220V electric dryer... its a different process which is why it can run ventless.
The black tube with the white cap that you pulled out is meant to be used to easily drain the water out of the machine before unscrewing the filter. Take the white cap off and easily place a bowl underneath the tube to cleanly drain the water. Having a towel underneath is still a good idea, but you won't be dealing with a flood of water. 🙂
Thank you for your review I have never heard of a washer dryer combo like this until now, but with 5 of us in the house and one being a baby I don't think this would work for us either. I need Something that doesn't take an hour to wash each load and is efficient. A great idea for In space and much lighter than the in the huge double washer dryer combos.
I have one and absolutely hate it! It does take about 5 to 6 hours most of the time per load. And NO I do not over load it by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe 5 tee shirts at most. If a hoodie then 3. Any less then that I may as well wash by hand and hang dry. Even a load with nothing but socks takes that long. Had the company come out twice to make sure it wasn't broke. They said no, that is the nature of these things and gets worse with age. Which is true because it didn't start out that long. There are only 2 of us here. I am constantly doing laundry. In a reg wash and dryer , you can be doing two loads at once. One washing while the other drying. Not on this thing. 2 loads a day. Maybe 3 if I am diligent. I keep it clean and filter clean. I hate it and can't wait to get rid of it.
I had one of these years ago, and had the same problem with the all-day drying problem, and the flooding. I just thought that it had broken. I hadn't realised that it was a design flaw or why it happened.
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn the sound off? When we go to bed or dryers near our room and it would be great to fall asleep and not have to wake up to it beeping 10 times in a row. Lol
THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW, BUT THIS MACHINE IS NOT MADE FOR ANY FAMILY MORE THAN 1 OR 2 PEOPLE. THE MACHINE HAS A CAPACITY OF 3 PAIRS OF JEANS - NO MORE! ALSO, RULE OF THUMB IS WASH THE SAME MATERIAL AT ONCE; MEANING, WASH SHEETS TOGETHER, WASH COTTON TSHIRTS TOGETHER, WASH JEANS TOGETHER -- AND NEVER EVER LOAD MORE THAN HALF A TUB FULL. ALSO, YES YES YES, DO A LOAD EACH DAY BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR WORK OR GO TO BED AND YOU’RE ALL GOOD. DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS MACHINE TO WASH YOUR LOADS EACH WEEK. IT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR THAT AT ALL. ALSO, WITH REGULAR DRYERS, THEY PULL SO MUCH OF YOUR CLOTHES MATERIAL APART, AND THE WEAR & TEAR IS MUCH MORE THAN THESE COMBO MACHINES. THESE COMBO MACHINES ARE MARVELOUS AND ACTUALLY PROLONG YOUR CLOTHES LIFESPAN.
I think your issue is with the dog hair and NOT the poor machine that has the heavy job of trying to remove hair from a family that has 3 DOGS!!!! This should be a review for dog hair and not this poor machine!
Sure thing that is what they call for, but they do all recommend putting a towel down to catch anything that does happen to leak out after it finishes in a bucket or pan. This would also be the same on almost all front-load washing machines.
Yeah I’m pretty new to them. My landlord just got us the one that you have in your video. It’s definitely different. I tried unscrewing that little cap without doing any research and was greeted with a tsunami of water all over my kitchen lol.
@@thomasparis5016 Well the wife had the drainpipe fail a week or so ago and flooded the laundry room. I did think of recommending a washboard and bucket but decided that I didn't want to sleep in the dog house for the next month or so. :)
One of the best thoughtful honest reviews.. Hard to find these days.. Im sure it wouldnt be feasible for a lot of families with pets.. thank you for saving us the time, trouble, and money.
I had the same problem but I saw another review where the little black hose was used to drain the water instead of letting it flood out of the drain. Will try that next time.
When you live in a house with Dogs especially ones that shed as much as ours do that wouldn't be feasible. The issue is more of how the front loading machines operate and more of the combo washer/dryer since they are ventless and instead of having a lint filter everything is filtered out the drain. It would be much less of an issue if it was a stacked washing machine and dryer that was vented.
@@thomasparis5016 I agree it would have been much cheaper to buy a standard washing machine and a dryer. We were trying to conserve space going with the smaller all-in-one unit since we are downsizing from our current rental back to a smaller place and it was pretty good on power when the filter wasn't plugged up on us.
I just moved into an apartment with one of these. Working well so far, but I don't have any pets. This unit doesn't appear to be designed to deal with excessive hair. I could see how any restriction in the drain could cause clogs and flooding, since lint is drained with the water during the drying cycle. As for the messy cleaning process, the black hose is there to allow the unit to be drained before pulling the big plug. The hose is long enough to put the water into a bowl or a short pan.
1st theres no way keys will ever get to that filter.. theres no hole large enough 2nd sorry but with that much dog hair u should be doing smaller loads and cleaning ur machine more often.. yes after 4 loads... theres a clean tub cycle.. run it and wipe down the inside tada.... 3rd i rather deal with that filter then dealing with lint traps and hoses that fill up and cause fires... plus lint can be toxic. "dryer air is now considered hazardous air pollutants" due to all the chemicals we use on our clothing.. small amount harmful to babies and pets
Not to be obvious or anything… Dog hair is produced every day by dogs. I cannot understand why anyone (not just you) would be covered in dog hair. Why would you live your life covered in dog hair. Nastiness comes from owning a nasty dog. Hey lady… get rid of the dog.

Hey, when you dry does your machine stops mid dry and says canceled? I literally cantaloupe even dry 1 pair of pj’s for my 6 year old😩
No I don’t have that happen…
@@natashahanna3680 lol sorry for the typ … Thank you for letting me know😩 My machine drives me crazy!
Call a technician? Something must be wrong . Good luck
I have one and it only take long if I put a big load b

We are getting ours set up in our 5th wheel tomorrow! Have you had any issues with leaks ?
I use a lint filter to keep hair/lint out of the drain; no washer is going to save someone from a clogged drain.
If it takes 7 hours to dry, it means you're overloading it with clothes. You probably need the one having 5.2 cubic feet capacity like LG one.

How do you change the pump filter? I put 5 shirts inside and after 1.5 hours of drying, they’re still not dry

I don't think I fault the machine it's definitely the wrong application for what you need... thanks
Thanks for the review. It answered some questions for me.
Thanks, I have that machine. Thanks to you we're up and running again. The culprit was the plastic floss/toothpick, and dog hair lol.

thank you great video
Thank you for your review. This was very insightful.
Glad it was helpful!
So it sounds like the problem its the dog here not the machine.
The dog hair is the problem.. but the 7 hour drying time is a big problem.
Wait... but did you install the drain hose that comes with it? How was it flooding?
Thanks for sharing, I bought this then realized it's not the new GE Profile everyone's talking about lol
For anyone who is buying you in order to clean the pump use the black hose to drain the water before you pull out the trap!!

Can you do a full cycle on that machine?

Hi y'all! 🤗 How are you liking it a month later? Take care! -Marshall 🎸
We actually got rid of it. It was just not working for us.
I'm frustrated with mine. I can't use the dryer without it going into wash mode so my clothes never got dry.
My machine appeared E2. and it won't start, do you know how I can get it to work again?
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn the sound off? When we go to bed or dryers near our room and it would be great to fall asleep and not have to wake up to it beeping 10 times in a row. Lol
What are dimensions of the unit? HxWxD? Thanks in advance.
I cannot open the washer what do I do
Where does the water go when its drying?
out the drain hole into the sink connection.
Why does washer dryer combo lose heat not drying clothes properly like they once did

Daaaa you are supposed to let the water out with the hose before opening the lint trap, read the directions daaaaa!

Draining this machine at the bottom seems like a pain with the water spilling out

I guess no for combo with sink setup, too risky for flood and clog. Sink drain hole / pipes are too small for washer I think.
Thanks for sharing.
Well stop washing dog hair infested clothes in a mini washer/dryer combo...don’t play yourself cheap
