Great job on the video Vince. It's a nice alternative to some of the more expensive hose reels. They are convenient and liked the idea of putting it on a ground stake for mobility.
Yeah, it’s pretty sweet! The stake makes it great to move if you change your mind for location, and you aren’t putting holes in your siding! Thanks for watching brother!
I decided to try another unit amazon was selling, has good ratings but few raters but if it doesn't pan out I will go with this brand. The one I chose to give a chance was the REDUCTUS Retractable Garden Hose Reel for about 40$ less. I guess what it will come down to is the ability to recoil back into the unit. It's a tall order for any of these units, curious now that you have had it a year how it is holding up.
Thanks for the review! I was wondering how the Giraffe is holding up after a year of use? Have you noticed any sag in the bracket holding it to the post?
Possibly. Although they are designed to be mounted up on a wall. It was also going up hill, which gives it a little disadvantage. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I've enjoyed my girraffe hose reel this year and looking forward to taking it out again next spring.
I love these things. They are sharp looking. Great install tip with that metal thingy! Better than using cement!
Thanks for watching bro! Yeah I’m really going to enjoy using this come spring!

Looks awesome. It’s definitely on my list for this year! Great video.
Yeah I think this will be a game changer.
Great video! Looking forward to buying one of these in the Spring. Might end up with the 5/8” model though.
Nice honest review.

Thanks for the honest review Vince. Seems like it’s a cool idea but they cut some corners. Also cool alternative to mounting it to the house.
Yeah, they do have larger hose options, but then the hose length gets shorter. Long and skinny or short and fat… your call.
The 1/2 inch is not enough pressure. I have the same type of hose reel and it’s not enough pressure compared to 3/4 or 5/8.
Great video Vince , I really like this hose but currently using a Hoselink but truly a life saver these auto reels . Take care
I hear good things about hose link!
@@RootedLawnCo yes expensive though
haha I love your dog chasing at the water stream. My dogs do the same thing 😆🐕
He’s obsessed. Haha glad you enjoyed that!
Sweet can’t wait to try mine tomorrow!
That’s great you got one! Let me know what you think!
I’m curious to know how nice it is using a hose end sprayer for fertilizer/biostims. I’d love something like this for both my front and back yards.
What is the metal thing called?

is this a product that can be left outdoors during winter time? or needs to be stored? thanks
Like all hoses, I would recommend bringing them in, away from freezing conditions.
what the post cone thingy called
Where did you buy the stake from ?
Hardware store.
For me it needs to be 2 things 3/4 inch and electric deploy and retract
i think it would have been able to retract a little better if it was lower to the ground

Your volume is all over the place
Loved mine - at first. Quit working . Two ther brands are going strong. JUNK.
