  • 19 Aerial Silk Climbs with Variations. French climb, Russian climb, Hocks Climb, Mermaid Climb, Twisty Russian Mermaid Climb, Split Fabric Inversion Climb, Lotus, Sous-Sus Climb, Teardrop Climb, and more. I show you a few different exits, how to do the climb spinning on a few. I used Straight leg Inversions and Diamond (bent leg) Inversions in this video. The video would be too long if I showed both sides, but remember you need to do each climb on both sides, just like ballet. I slowed down in some places so you could see how I was getting into the climb, or getting out of the climb.
I have links to my Instagram below where I show you 5 more creative, fun, and exotic climbs.

Thank you so much for your videos! I am a beginner and these are so inspirational. I often get frustrated and feel like giving up, but the joy you show in your face when performing these moves motivates me to keep going!!!

Thank you for the encouragement. I have been doing Aerial for 12 years and I went back to the foundational moves needed to help others learn, I love teaching and helping people. I just needed to know it was helping others to continue, so thank you again.

By the way there are times I don't want to do anything and I force myself to go stretch and get on the silks. I have looked up other people on UA-cam to get inspiration. Like AerialPhysique, UniqueAerialist, and dianacg42 are among some of my favorites.

@@aerialartistryinstructor2485 thank you! I do follow the first 2 but will also check out dianacg42! It's been so long since I've been a beginner at something new (I'm 44) and the silks are so challenging that it's great to watch people who know what they're doing to try and understand the pathways and what I am working towards. You make it look so easy when it is most definitely not lol! I'm determined to keep practicing though bc it is such a beautiful art form💜✨

@@dawnvinciguerra2904 I started when I was 38 and its been 12 years. One of my ballet instructors was 50 and she was better than all the 20 year olds. You are as young as you believe you are. Keep going, you are the perfect age, you will keep yourself young doing this. One of my inspirations in the Aerial Arts was in her late 40's and she was the inspiration to keep me going.

Thank you for watching. I love performing Aerial Silks, learning new creative moves, and teaching Aerial. One day I realized the world was my student. Enjoy!
