Pushing conductive thermals to the limit with hazard 5+ tougher enemies 2 (4 player scaling)

  • This one is a doozy to explain. I'm simulating hazard 5 tougher enemies 2 4 player scaling by setting the difficulty to hazard 4 then manually bumping up the health to match what it should be. For the bulk I need the scaling to be 2.625 so I use hazard 4's 1.00 large enemy scaling and multiply that by 2.63. I round here because the slider doesn't go to the 4th digit. For the dreadnought I need to go up to 2.975 so I hazard 4's 0.70 extra large enemy scaling and multiply it by 4.25.
    Now these things have a LOT of health. The bulk has 10,500 health (10,520) health here because of rounding, and the dreadnought has 14,875 health with a shell that has a whopping 5,057 health.
    When I shoot the bulk with the shotgun I deal 1,859 damage per shot or 3,718 damage per mag. When I shoot the dreadnought with the volatile bullets shot I do 9,584 damage to the dreadnought. It would be 15,974 damage if the dread didn't have fire resistance.

    Dude, my jaw hit the floor when a single volatile bullet erased 50% of the dreadnaught’s health. Like WTF!

      Keep in mind that is MAX health as well because of the scaling. Btw you can one shot it one normal haz 5 4 player scaled missions.

    There's a reason Dreadnoughts don't get set on fire. Volatile Bullets is that reason.

      @@mhtanks Funny thing. If dreads could be set on fire they would do a lot of damage, but the damage would be reduced significantly because of the dreadnought’s fire resistance. The reason they are doing so much damage here is because of the 12 TIMES conductive thermals buff.

    The second ex is pointless nobody runs volatile bullet on gunner in dreads

    What are the steps to make it scale for 4 player while in solo?

      I consulted this site here deeprockgalactic.wiki.gg/wiki/Difficulty_Scaling and used the resistance scaling table to calculate how much I need to raise the difficulty using the swarm control mod. That is the solution I came up with at least.

      Drak with 11222 conductive thermals and boomstick with 11313 jumbo shells.

    Any specific upgrades or overclocks required for the sawed off to deal giga damage with conductive thermals

      Yes. Phosphorus shells is very much required to get the buff as it turns half of the damage into fire type damage. Without phosphorus shells it would get no buff.

      i run tier 5 phosphorus shells with double barrel oc

      @@goglergay Double barrel is ok with this oc, but you get more efficiency with other overclocks because only the pellets have fire damage.

      @@luplex7567 Yes, but anything past 10 seconds of continuous firing doesn’t buff it anymore.
