I couldn't do this in Illustrator. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I searched for 'sparkle illustrator' and this popped up straight away on UA-cam. I love your videos Dansky. Thank you so much.
Hi awesome tutorials but i have a question, if i want to create a vector sparcle (like a minimal star) for a space scenery but with rounded edges can it be done like this or with different shape/effects?
Great tutorial. Thank you. However, is there any way to draw this sparkle shape with 3 or more than 4 heads? That would be really helpful for me. Thank you ^^
i think if you do this same method but with a square shape instead of a circle it'll give you more than 4 heads or points. I did this today but on accident xD
I’m afraid that once you expand, there’s no going back. You can increase your ‘undo’ count from Illustrator’s preferences for future, and I also like to copy/paste multiple versions of my design before applying any destructive/permanent techniques.
Select each of the four end points in turn with the Direct Selection Tool, and hold Shift and use the arrow keys to move each end point the same number of key presses. For example, click the left sparkle end anchor point, hold Shift and press the left arrow key twice, select top anchor point hold Shift and press up arrow key twice etc... 🙂
Thank you!
so simple and I was trying like crazy with the pen tool ..

How do I remove the expand appearance? I did it and cannot get my file to go back to how it was. Please help

how can i make the sparkle points longer without breaking the symmetry?
