Drawbridge! | Sheridan St, Hollywood, FL

On my last full day in Broward County, I decided to brave the walk up the busy A1A (getting rolled coal in the process!) to film this drawbridge. Of course, no boats were present when the quarter-hour passed. Luckily, one came into sight just as the three-quarter-hour came! This video is the result!
This is a pretty cool drawbridge, like many in Broward County. Each entrance and exit to the bridge is protected by large gate arms, many complete with 7-inch gate lights! There are small fire bells on each gate motor that ring while the gates are in motion. There are also "pedestrian signals" with a single 7-inch gate light atop. Of course, there are also traffic signals to stop drivers.
