Compared to him, Misha knows nothing about the ring im competitiion to each others experiences.
I love how the majority of the comments are not impressed by the E36 overtake at all. We're just out there having fun, and Uwe, having won the world's biggest races, does not need to win TF, so he just lets him be. Because of that, I commend him for being a world-class driver, not only in skill, humbleness, but also character. To be honest, I am not sure if I would be able to contain myself in such a car. But we'll see next year when I can drive and it's further developed :)
Uwe did the right thing with so much traffic, which also slowed him down. There's nothing to win at TF and there's always someone faster than you because of more money, more skill or a better car.
Only thing wrong regarding the e36 was how overly aggressive the e36 was. He should learn to just enjoy the free space he has and to Accept it when he is getting to a clog. Uwe did great,i would have loved a ride.
It seems most people are actually upset about how aggressive the E36 was being with such a crowded TF, thinking he's in the wrong

The e36 was really pushing it when he shouldnt be. Going 100% while everyone is going 70%-80%. Almost smashed into the rear of the porche.

Uwe is very easy. No unnecessary haste, very professional, very cool. It was funny, but Misha's a good guy:) The car is a badass beauty. Big like.
yeah but that was far from being easy driving :D I watched a lot vids misha driving the track. He is always so calm and cool, very gentle to the cars he is driving too. Adapting his driving to the ability of the car. Uwe here really kept riding hard even they several times hit the ground :D And his lines were so aggressive, but still though you never felt he has no control even for some milliseconds. Not sure if I would like riding with Uwe though, I do really appreciate misha's driving style after seeing that one here ;)

Its a racetrack, not a parade lap lol. You know the consequences when you attend a track, which is why they have track insurance. The E36 was fine, sure maybe a bit aggressive for the vibes everybody else had, but the E36 wasnt doing anything wrong

This was great to watch. Uwe Alzen is an absolute legend. So chill so calm. Nothing to prove. He could do sub 7s in his sleep. To do a lap with him in any car especially a 911 would be something to remember for a long time. Good stuff.

I thought they said it was modified with bigger turbo, and water/methanol injection, larger inter-coolers and they were still having issues with high temps so the detuned it from over 600hp down to 500hp...? Not sure how you see that translates to being awkward for Porsche though? 02:04
@@sickjohnson Yeah, they could get 500 with a tune easily. Even gts has 480 now. So what are they doing... And if it really had the cup car aero and brakes, even with 500-550hp it would be crazy fast. No need to modify the entire engine. Seems like a weird build.
@@OKF_Max I’m not too familiar with Porsches but are the turbos actually able to deal with that sort of extra boost for longer periods of time? What you get from a normal tune won’t always equate to reliability especially when it comes to track.
The whole concept of the car is very weird as well , I would love see how the finished car turns out and how much they are gonna charge for it
@@sickjohnson It doesn't have the side intakes etc like the Turbo to get the extra cooling...
There were some crazy drivers out there. Love the build. It certainly was turning heads sat in the car park. Just need to work out the small issues and it's a pretty kick ass bit of kit.

i have learned so much about racing on the nurburgring from watching your videos misha. you are a very humble and talented driver. Thank you for these videos you choose to post day in and day out. Every video i seem to be learning something new, weather it be about a specific car, race line on the ring. I learned how to heal and toe from watching your videos, sometimes Thank you just doesn't cut it for the amount of appreciation i have for you and your videos. I wish to be financially stable enough to visit the nurburgring one day for a taxi drive from you. Life dream right there :)
This reminded me of the vid where you were so relaxed you started to fall asleep. You looked just as relaxed here. I think that explains the drivers skill and smoothness better than anything. 👍👍

Impressive lap, I love how he thought he was driving a random guy like me but in the end discovered you have a lot of Nordschleife experience, way more that he thought. As you said there is no winning TF, and some people seem to not know that, I understand why he was not at ease, he was driving with 300 cars around but various driving experience, the others are not racing drivers so you cannot expect them to react as Racing drivers.
Imho, the only winning in TF is the smile on your face after a lap, and that’s what everyone should aim for.

well.. thats what it looks like when you are driving a hella fast car and another super fast car comes by... yes it was agressive, but if you dont have a speed limit, and slow car should stay on the right side of the track, if you are not pushing anyone out of the track by going super fast, ITS PART OF THE GAME. some one please post that e36 dude´s channel!!
Man the car had warning lights and traction controls beeping and 4pt seat belts banging around … and the driver simply wasn’t phased, driving as smooth as u expect from a pro. Just simply awesome!
you can't hear anything or barely even hear the car when your in rally mode, just locked I every corner and movement.

It's a reason why Ohlins Suspension so expensive lol, that setup is pretty dialed in, that's the first thing I noticed...would be interesting to see what could do with a 3.8 or 4.0 litre engine because I wouldn't have guessed that was a 3.0 litre engine, that Car is fast
Very nice idea-project. But from what i saw pretty far from being ready. Suspensions setup to be adjusted to improved aero, engine with problems running barely 480 hp despite running intercooler and methanol injection (it was already equipped with those right?). I would have waited for the car to be fine tuned before hosting Misha. Nice video though 😉

E36 with a S engine swap and a good driver is a scary thing at the track. I was competing at Bimmerchallenge last weekend at Chuckwalla and a E36 with 300hp set the track record in our class.

I am guessing from the exhaust smoke at liftoff that it is a Turbo, my Twin Turbo E36 M3 GT does the same
It has no turbo naturally aspirated S50B32!
You can tell the heat from the turbo's powered that car down heavily with heatsoak after a while. I am very excited to see what it does when the temps are under control and it has another 100hp or so. Now what was in that E36?

What lap times does GT3 Cup and a GT3 R, GT3 RSR or any GT3 race car turn on the Nordschleife? I have only seen laps on the full track.

On this channel best lap i was seeing was with Kubica. It was really flying lap. Here some old BMW passing by - sorry, but like a riding pensioner 😀
Kubica is an unreal person. When I look at other drivers, I see: yes, the trajectory and speed are normal, you can drive like that. But when I saw the circle of Kubica, it seemed to me that it was impossible to go like that, but he was going.
