does it work while connecting via wireless/wifi or via lan/ethernet cable in you computer? if wireless is working on your computer and not on your mobile then verify wireless band, channel, static ip assignments in your mobile, dns modification in your mobile, or vpn services running, make sure you verify these and try once. yes you can. you can also setup your toto-link as secondary router to extend your range and so on. For that, connect lan/ethernet cable from your huawei device LAN port to totolink WAN port and setup toto-link. Also, if there is repeater mode on your totolink then your can extend your connection range wirelessly.

yes it can be made range extender for that you need to establish LAN connection between primary router/isp provided and the router you have with. But if you are thinking to buy then better go for DSL routers [eg: tplink, netis, tenda, asus, mi, lb-link, d-link, bdcom or any others for range extender or secondary router.

no it's not necessary that you bridge wan in primary router if internet is already operational from it. only at begining Once doing wan connection setup, you need to bridge ssid of primary router ssid and then You just need to lock found ssid of primary router on secondary routers if setting it up as wireless extender.

you can't use it as repeater because of features unavailability on it, instead you can use it to extend your range or use it as secondary router or you can use it as repeater in the way that perform the same configurations as shown on video on your hg8245w5 router and keep the ssid name/key same as of primary router. This will then work as same wifi setup for your devices and you do not need to connect to both router separately though they are configured separately.

you can get the ip address of router from router backside, another way is you can know IP address from your connected devices and see the gateway IP, it should be of the router IP. another way is you can know IP address of repeater devices from primary router connected devices list. log into your primary router and search the option connected hosts you will get to know the IP address of all the connected devices from there. verify your repeater device and go your way. thanks for your query. in Huawei ftth onu, you might not find bridging connection type but you can make it as bridge router by doing the same as shown. Connect your Huawei onu one of LAN port with your primary router or your Arris router's LAN port. Make sure lan port is enabled and internet is working from your primary router's lan port, and then Login to Huawei onu router and enable lan and disable dhcp, it will work as bridge router. So, let it blink if you just want it for secondary setup. Next, to login this onu after setup as shown. it's in bridge mode and dhcp is disabled. so, to login router for ssid/wifi credentials modification or etc. make sure you know which ip is this router assigned with from your primary router's connected device and try logging in from that ip. Also, you can login from another way is connecting lan cable to your laptop/pc and assign static ip of same range of router's gateway. you will easily login from that assigned gateway ip too. Try resetting once. if wirelessnet ssid or Huawei onu default ssid is displayed connect to it and what ip/gateway router is assigned with and try logging in from that ip. anotherway, Also you can manually set ip to your ONU router ethernet connecting to pc, for that connect lan cable from onu's lan port to your Pc or laptop ethernet port and assign static ip to ethernet adapter of your pc/laptop of same network range. for eg: go to ethernet properties of your pc and right click on properties and click on ipv4/tcip and click on use the following ip: ip: eg: 192.168.100.10 or try [ 192.168.0.10] subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 [same] Default gateway: 192.168.100.1 or [192.168.0.1] ------------------- now, open any browser and try login from Default gateway assigned ip. i hope it might help you. incase do let us know if i can help any further. to login into your secondary router make sure you know the ip address assigned with from primary routers connected devices list or dhcp lists/client lists. once you know you can login into it. another way is that you can manually login to it with the help of mobile or your laptop by assigning manual ip to the interfaces.. hope it helps

no internet accessibility should not be the reason for your router control locally.... you can still access your router with login credential's and modify the configuration and once you are done with the configuration internet should work....make sure you have provided source/method of internet connection to your router either via wired or wireless in some cases different than this onu. thanks for your query.

Works like a charm but once this is done the secondary router shows only the 2.4hz bandwith with a new SSID , the 5hz bandwith shows as the old SSID and password which is given behind the router itself

yes you can. you can also setup your toto-link as secondary router to extend your range and so on. if it's unused, make sure to reset it to take it to factory default settings and then login your onu setup wan as bridge mode and disable dhcp server, enable lan ports and save the settings. then connect lan cable from primary routers lan port to your cpe tewa's lan port and check your internet connectivity once after rebooting the cpe device after configuration save and setup.

@@gauravadhikari6672 used means are you using it as primary router and want's to setup it as secondary router? or if it's used and you have switched to another isp and wants nt onu to use it as secondary then make sure to reset it to take it to factory default settings and then login your onu setup wan as bridge mode and disable dhcp server, enable lan ports and save the settings. then connect lan cable from primary routers lan port to your cpe tewa's lan port and check your internet connectivity once after rebooting the cpe device after configuration save and setup.

thanks for your query... as you are known that you have disabled the dhcp server on Huawei router..It works as a bridge Repeater or secondary router wireless extender.
1. You can access it via your PC/laptop by assigning the same range IP/ gateway of router given backside of router.
2. You can also login with ip it has been assigned with. To know the ip it has been assigned with, you need to login your primary router. From primary routers connected device list/client list/dhcp client list you can know the ip the Huawei router has been assigned, and then you access the router from that ip which it has been assigned.

login page does not appear on that ip address or other ip's (tried with ip on back of router also). it also shows wirelessnet as ssid and pwd:eeeeeeee. What can be done?

Try resetting once. if wirelessnet ssid or Huawei onu default ssid is displayed connect to it and what ip/gateway router is assigned with and try logging in from that ip.
anotherway, Also you can manually set ip to your ONU router ethernet connecting to pc, for that connect lan cable from onu's lan port to your Pc or laptop ethernet port and assign static ip to ethernet adapter of your pc/laptop of same network range. for eg: go to ethernet properties of your pc and right click on properties and click on ipv4/tcip and click on use the following ip:
ip: eg: 192.168.100.10 or try [ 192.168.0.10]
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 [same]
Default gateway: 192.168.100.1 or [192.168.0.1]

now, open any browser and try login from Default gateway assigned ip.

@@Warcell The default username is telecomadmin and the default password is admintelecom. if it's not working then plz try once resetting factory default and try setting it up again, it will work if user/password isn't modified.
I am unable to login router it open primary router
to login into your secondary router make sure you know the ip address assigned with from primary routers connected devices list or dhcp lists/client lists. once you know you can login into it. another way is that you can manually login to it with the help of mobile or your laptop by assigning manual ip to the interfaces.. hope it helps

is it wireless onu or non-wireless onu? if non-wireless you cannot perform wan setting directly on it, if not then you can proceed for the same if there is lan ports

see the ip address mentioned behind/backside of onu and try logging from that ip or you can assign the static ip of same range of onu in your pc/laptop and can access it from respective ip gateway...try once and let us know incase of any query related

no internet accessibility should not be the reason for your router control locally.... you can still access your router with login credential's and modify the configuration and once you are done with the configuration internet should work....make sure you have provided source/method of internet connection to your router either via wired or wireless in some cases different than this onu.

Works like a charm but once this is done the secondary router shows only the 2.4hz bandwith with a new SSID , the 5hz bandwith shows as the old SSID and password which is given behind the router itself

Once you are done with setup, the next time you want to login to your onu you need to connect through your pc/laptop and assign static ip on Ethernet and can easily login...or can also login if you know what ip it has been assigned with from primary onu/router.

make sure you have done with this things on your Huawei ONT: enabled lan settings, disabled dhcp server and connected ethernet cable from your primary router to this huawei ont router which you want to make it work as secondary.... follow the steps and instructions, i hope you would get it...if still not do let us know incase of any queries related.

follow the instructions as shown, it will work definitely.
Make sure you have connected Lan/Ethernet cable from primary router to your Huawei( secondary) onu/router properly and verify the lan connectivity once after performing configuration. It will work, incase of any further assistance related, do drop down your queries.

There is not showing lan 1 lan 3 lan 3 option what to do ?
