    Wow. In the face of one of the most courageous and important acts of journalism you can find online... a very straight forward story of what we instinctively know to be true, you find hordes of immature hateful comments. Cenk you're clearly doing something very right ;) Keep it up.

    I don't get the comments and why a few people saying Cenk is full of himself, maybe because the video is about himself?

    • @NickMcDude
      @NickMcDude 10 років тому +3

      Because a lot of people (mostly men/boys) gets threatened when they see someone aggressive, arrogant and confident. As they are all positive traits for a man (to a certain degree). But here's the question: Would Cenk be able to challenge authority if he was a scared little p*ssy?
      Just ignore the insecure haters, Cenk does his job well and a lot of people will feel threatened by his success.

    • @ItsADubstepPhenomena
      @ItsADubstepPhenomena 9 років тому

      Jim Larsen its spelt Cenk mate, 50 Cenk, lol...but seriously, why would anyone wanna take your comment seriously with spelling like that...especially when someone spelt it correctly in the comment you replied to lol

    • @ItsADubstepPhenomena
      @ItsADubstepPhenomena 9 років тому

      its turkish you fuck. also look up spelt...im not american so i can spell it like that, and im not british...why do you guys always assume someone is british if there not american, both countries are corrupt as fuck and would never want to live there...now visiting it would be a different story...Anyway to school you...it is called the young turks, and in turkey they pronounce the C as a J, so your reasoning makes no sense...if it was called the young englishman then yea sure you could get angry at it, but the fact that you cant pronounce his name right in his OWN language, "IRKS me". He could say oh your name should be spelt like Cim Larsen...Your ignorance bothers me. Outties

    • @NickMcDude
      @NickMcDude 9 років тому

      Wow, do you really have that much against foreign names? In the US a lot of people have German, Scandinavian and Spanish names, they all have different letters and pronounciations from the english vocabulary, but I dont see you complaining about them...
      What exactly is it with Cenk (not Sink) that you dislike so much? Can you come with a specific thing he said/did?

    When MSNBC let Keith Olbermann go, I knew something was up. I used to watch Countdown all the time. And when Cenk joined forces, I thought MSNBC was going to dominate. However, MSNBC was founded in 1996 as partnerships of Microsoft and General Electric's NBC unit, which is now NBCUniversal. So the problem with railing against the Right, is that you are railing against management. Both Olbermann and Cenk were too strong a voice for the executives to waterdown so they had to get rid of them.

    My college roommate introduced me to the Young Turks and I've been listening to it ever since. He liked the show because it was factual, truthful, and spot on in terms of accuracy. His parents were hardcore republicans who watched fox religiously, which is why he tuned into a show that didn't distort the truth and had journalistic integrity.

    I am a libertarian & even though you lean left in your politics, I just love listening to you speak and your genuine desire to tell it like it is. Letting the public know why you left the media is also a big plus. That is what viewers value the most, Honesty. If you filter the news and deliver half truths, you loose credibility. Thank you very much for your sincerity as a reporter & as a person.

    As a Small-Government Libertarian, I find myself in conflict with Cenk's views more often than not. But I will agree with the fact that the media should exist to challenge the government. Also, by leaving MSNBC, he has proven himself to be genuine and not just in it for the money (unlike the talking heads on MSNBC, FOX, and CNN), and I applaud him for that.

  • @rbvo
    @rbvo 13 років тому

    I have to admit he's won me over to some extend with his appearance on Countdown with Keith Olberbann this evening. Funny, but he's actually a whole lot more engaging when he's being asked the questions, rather than the one asking them. And to tell the truth, if ever there was a network tailor-made to what he wants to do, Current would seem to be it. I think Cenk has a lot to learn when it comes to on-air skills, but Current might be an ideal fit for him and he might be an ideal fit for them.
