You do not have a "Dice Problem", you have a "Dice Solution". Acquiring more dice makes you happy and solves the "I don't have enough pretty math rocks" problem. I love these dice videos. Thank you for sharing.
I had a very similar problem, D&D related, that led to my group having a ridiculous collection of miniatures (including enough orc and goblins to field two opposing armies!). We got onto the random miniature boxes at our local gaming store and very quickly became addicted by the ritual of opening the box together and blind-drawing out a figure from the box, before passing it onto the next person. My cousin and I got in the habit of visiting the store between lectures at university, and before we knew it, we had tubs of miniatures of all kinds and size categories. Meanwhile, we were ever mocked by the Colossal Red Dragon that stared at us from behind the counter, knowing we couldn't afford it. But.. it did motivate us to buy the gargantuan dragons that were also at the store - we all chipped in to buy a black and a white gargantuan dragon, and we were happy. ...then we heard the store was closing down. We all looked at each other, knowing exactly what was going through each of our minds. Without a word, we gathered our gold coins, marched down to the store. And now there is a Colossal Red Dragon in our collection, just waiting to somehow become usable in a campaign. Putting a regular sized figure next to that thing really puts into context how terrifying it is. And with that addiction bug in my genes, I think you've inspired a whole new downward spiral into the Plane of Dice.

I'm a dice goblin too. One of the other players in the dnd group talked me in to trying dnd. And I simply never left the group again 😂. Then I had to buy a dice set, but could not make a decision on one set, therefore I got 6 set's. That became quickly to more set's and more set's. Then that same player, offered to make a dice bag out of leather. My collection of dice set's is only gilling it 1/3 up... Now the group have truly made me into a dice goblin 👺 🤣 I NEED MORE DICE TO FILL THE BAG COMPLETELY UP.

I love seeing your dice! They are so pretty! And I never knew dice could be so EXTRA! My dice collection has also grown by about 50% since your last video.
I've thought about dice similar in shape to those d4s and especially more like that Warlock d10 with the tapered ends. That cylindrical shape would be an easy way of making dice with a number of sides that doesn't work for a polyhedron with all sides being the same size - a regular polyhedron google tells me. And tapering the die from the center to the ends would allow it to wobble and potentially flip when rolled. I don't know what use there would be to have/make them since no games really use them, but I just like the thought of having a d5, d7, d9, d11 etc. edit to credit google.
There are also spherical dice where the polyhedron is internal and a free rolling steel ball inside provides the RNG. For accuracy, I think those should be transparent so any internal wear or imprecise casting that may ruin statistical accuracy can be detected.
I got into dice collecting umm... less than 2 years ago and I am approaching 300 sets and a few thousand singles. LOL I love my shiny math rocks. Can't wait for Part 3!

I love my click clack rocks but tend to try to stay away from gemstone because I've had a couple dice crack (from imperfections in the stone). I love seeing your shinies!
I roll into a felt tray, so my gemstone dice haven't had any troubles!! When I ordered my first gemstone die, it came with a warning that they tend to be a bit more fragile, so I've been cautious with them.
I used to have like 14 sets of dice but I ended up giving a lot of them to friends and family, and the remainder I ended up losing dice somehow and so I now have like 4 incomplete sets and 2 metal sets. One is black with a bronze trim, they've definitely worn a bit, especially the d6 after my dog swallowed it. The other one is pink with a silver trim and I absolutely love them.
Recently bought my third dice set, translucent with a green glitter fluid inside them. Took me a while to get my thirs set. Considering I already bought my first 2 sets before I even started playing d&d (or any tabletop roleplay for that matter) about 10 months ago
I got me a set of "Fairy Dice", those are half the size of regular dice. I use them whenever playing small characters like gnomes or halflings. They never betrayed me! Also, I have two bags full of dice and a special little wooden chest to keep my favorites. Plus special set dice for games like Mutant: Year Zero and the like. Really, I felt like I had enough dice. Then I watched this video. ... now I feel like I need to go dice shopping. "How many dice do you need for playing D&D?" "Yes."
I have 5 sets with 8 d20s among the entire collection. This is because some of the sets came with an extra d20. None of them are sharp edged or metal or gemstone just yet (probably won’t get gemstone to be honest). I’m still new to the hobby and, frankly, I play online. Sure, some of my games would likely allow me to play with physical dice, but I prefer making sure everyone can see what I role when I’m asked to, unless the dm says for me to role secretly for some reason. That’s probably when I’m likely to pull out the physical dice. I love my dice bag too so wanna show some love there. It’s one of those scaled bags with the dragon eye imbedded in it. Mine is a subtle rainbow and the eye is magenta. My first dice was actually a gift from my mom, who is quite confused by my hobby but well meaning, and so they are quite sentimental. The rest are all gifts from my dad who is nerdy too, but in a different way, and so he buys them while at our local comic book store. So those are pretty sentimental too. My first dice are the most though because poor mom doesn’t understand nerdy stuff at all really and got super overwhelmed drying to select dice to gift me. Dad thinks it was adorable and I can definitely visualize how it probably played out. The fact that she went out of her way to show support to my new hobby is sweet. Those are why the dice are sentimental to me. By the way she got me a set that is a nice deep blood red with purple streaks through it. Honestly? Amazing pick! She knows the colors I like and the combos. To be fair, she does see what colors I favor in my paints so she did have something to work off. One hilarious thing, just one last thing I want to add, my dice hoard habit has actually encouraged my brother to pick up his first pair of dice. He plays more in person games than me and has actually been playing longer (despite being my younger brother) so it’s quite funny to me. As for his first set, well it’s those clear dice with the yellow rubber duck in the middle. He is looking now for a dice set that has a “bubbles” look to it to match now. Lol he wants a bath set.
lovely, some metal dice clacking this time! i'm currently waiting for my first 2 sets to arrive and watching videos to just.. yearn for some good fancy dice
I feel you on the d4s. A while back I got some TripleFours from DoubleSix Dice. They're d12s numbered 1-4 three times. So much more satisfying to roll.
i love shiny things. not even ashamed of that anymore. have you ever looked at the way the facets of a gem catch the light and felt like you were witnessing magic?
This comment is ay way late but, ever since I seen your videos pop up I've always got fascinated with dice. I pretty much bought 5 sets from Etsy and I'm already wanting more. It's so difficult to choose a brand over another and the dice you showcased here are so flippin CUTE. I think I might have a new hobby and that's probably going to be collecting dice.
I'm working my way up to filling my first big bag of dice. I've got like 15 sets which isn't that many but 2 of them are metal and I made 3 of the sets I made so I'm pretty proud of my collection
FYI those interested in pact stones. ArchanistsArmory is on hiatus for now. Covid was hitting them pretty hard and they were having issues getting things shipped. Just waiting for my Padauk dice from wyrmwood to match my tray!
My group (the Calgary D&D Meetup Group) has the following official unwritten mantra that seems to fit this subject nicely: "You can NEVER have too many dice!" The are a lot of people who horde larger chachkis; so be proud that we have much smaller collectibles.... unless you also collect D&D books from every edition, then it gets to be a tad heavy (I say this as I gaze upon one of my collapsed bookshelves... I maaaaay have overloaded it. ;oP )
My criteria for dice are 1) can I easily read them despite my old-man vision issues and 2) do they serve a good function? For example, I have many different colored d6s with contrasting, easy to see spots for my assassin: white for piercing damage, teal for sneak attack, toxic green for poison and black for necrotic. Many of your fancy dice do not meet one or both of these criteria, and thus I have other things I would rather spend money on. Thanks to your sharing, I get to have plenty off vicarious dice fun through these vids. Thanks for dice-box tour!
Always love the dice!! I constantly keep myself from buying more because I don't even play any ttrpgs currently, so this is awesome to live my best ice life vicariously through you :D
I have 2 sets of the green D&D dice from the original red box sets released in 1977 by TSR. They came with a white crayon that you scratched along the grooves of the numbers to leave the white wax behind. Had to re-do the wax about every dozen game sessions. Then I have every die - mostly D6's - from every game my mom ever bought over the next 15 years or so until I moved out after college as wells as many collected since. They are in an ancient cigar box my uncle had lying around that I snagged from my cousin's house around '84ish. I used to roll all the D6's hundreds of times and log the results. (Not surprising I majored in statistics in college.) My friends banned this one clear red D6 I had because it had an average roll of about 3.9, well above the statistical expected average of 3.5.
So is my husband the last 3 major gifts I gave him were dice wedding gift- medal dice, Christmas- mini metal dice, our 1yr wedding Anniversary- crocheted him a dragon egg dice bag and gave him 20 sets of mini dice. So he now has 23 sets of mini dice and I think 10 sets of regular dice 7 of them I bought for him hehe.
I'm used to the pyramid D4s. I like other shapes, but I don't find the pyramids hard to pick up. I pinch my thumb, forefinger, and middle finger together and grasp it between them. I imagine this is the usual way to do it, as I can't think of any other way you'd try.
I used tons of sets but started running out of space. I ve started and picking upa single die when i find a set i like. Tends to be either d6 or d20 but, something like gemstones, depending on the color i pick different ones..its a happy medium.
I loved your dice video and it's cool that you have all these unique dice and yes I agree with you sometimes it's great to have a new set of dice with your character that you create kind of like me and I also would love a new set of dice when I make a character and the problem is I make too many dwarf characters so what color should a dwarf cleric dice should be loves to smith and loves to heal all good or bad

For accuracy, I think those should be transparent so any internal wear or imprecise casting that may ruin statistical accuracy can be detected.
My favorites are the Evewynn's Workshop set. If they don't glow in the dark, they should! Also liked the d4's...
Those custom dice are awesome! I also really like the lime green d20.
All your dice are awesome. Thanks for sharing where you got them. ❤😊
I love the cool greens and blues of these dice. 💙💚💜💎
to answer your question yes goblins do like caves but they're more than happy to make do with a burrow if there are none available
I got into dice collecting umm... less than 2 years ago and I am approaching 300 sets and a few thousand singles. LOL I love my shiny math rocks. Can't wait for Part 3!
Thank you for adding links in the description for the dice you got. A lot of the video was me going "oo i wonder if they make dice like that in the color palette i get my dice usually."
Chiming in pretty late so you probably won't see this, but if you like metal dice, I love a steampunk set I have that are hollow metal dice. Just the filigree. They jingle in the bag so pleasantly.
I would not mind more of these videos as they SO PRETTY!!
I can't wait to see you on your mermaid video! 🧜♀️ You are so cute! I don't get anything about this whole magic community but I like watching your videos so much! It's so much fun making all of those costumes 🤩Please don't stop 🤪
Ahhh, you're so sweet!! Seems to me that what YOU do is the real magic, haha!
All the dice! Yes! definitely in the GET MORE group!
Dice ASMR was something i didnt know i liked also, these dice are way too beautiful!
Your dice are gorgeous! The suspended glitter is awesome!
Recently bought my third dice set, translucent with a green glitter fluid inside them. Took me a while to get my thirs set. Considering I already bought my first 2 sets before I even started playing d&d (or any tabletop roleplay for that matter) about 10 months ago
Yay more Clinky Clankies! I enjoy these videos because now I find more dice makers!
I backed that Kickstarter too! I'm so excited to get those dice!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a 'dice problem'. Mh brother in law bought me a huge bag that says "yes. I really do need all these dice" 😍🥰
"How many dice do you need for playing D&D?"
"Yes."
OMG!!! They're all so beautiful! Especially that first set.
I feel you on the d4s. A while back I got some TripleFours from DoubleSix Dice. They're d12s numbered 1-4 three times. So much more satisfying to roll.
While this sounds like a great idea, I can just see me wondering why my greataxe-wielding fighter can't seem to roll above a 4 on his hits.
i love shiny things. not even ashamed of that anymore. have you ever looked at the way the facets of a gem catch the light and felt like you were witnessing magic?
make more pls their soooo pretty i love all the pretty colors and its amazing how talented people are
All of us collectively stan shinies and their collectors
This comment is ay way late but, ever since I seen your videos pop up I've always got fascinated with dice. I pretty much bought 5 sets from Etsy and I'm already wanting more. It's so difficult to choose a brand over another and the dice you showcased here are so flippin CUTE. I think I might have a new hobby and that's probably going to be collecting dice.
I love them all! Can't we all just have ALL THE DICE??? 😍😍😍 Hooray for shiny click-clack math rocks!
I love how they all look. Wish i had some but i don't even play dnd, i just watch CR.
I'm the same way, I have one set I got a while ago, but I started watching CR and now I'm tempted to buy more sets
My group (the Calgary D&D Meetup Group) has the following official unwritten mantra that seems to fit this subject nicely:
"You can NEVER have too many dice!"
The are a lot of people who horde larger chachkis; so be proud that we have much smaller collectibles.... unless you also collect D&D books from every edition, then it gets to be a tad heavy (I say this as I gaze upon one of my collapsed bookshelves... I maaaaay have overloaded it. ;oP )
Dice Goblins live at Games Expo's. I did my first cosplay as a dice goblin this past week and people loved it at the UK Games Expo
I collect dice... and yarn. I love the crystal d4s. I feel like I need those
Loves the shiny click clack math rocks! Needs more!!!
Always love the dice!! I constantly keep myself from buying more because I don't even play any ttrpgs currently, so this is awesome to live my best ice life vicariously through you :D
I really enjoy this! If you are willing to make more would you? Love seeing people’s dice!
So beautiful! And I’m jealous of those Avalore sets! I’ve been waiting and waiting for those to be released!
Dammit, I had to shell out for a second set of those Kickstarter dice. XD They both look amazing!
I'll never financially recover from watching this video.
I absolutely love your dice videos!
yay - more happy click-clack math-rocks
I used tons of sets but started running out of space. I ve started and picking upa single die when i find a set i like. Tends to be either d6 or d20 but, something like gemstones, depending on the color i pick different ones..its a happy medium.
I loved your dice video and it's cool that you have all these unique dice and yes I agree with you sometimes it's great to have a new set of dice with your character that you create kind of like me and I also would love a new set of dice when I make a character and the problem is I make too many dwarf characters so what color should a dwarf cleric dice should be loves to smith and loves to heal all good or bad
There is no such thing as too many dice. Curious to see how the dice roll with the stuff on the inside do they favor numbers (ie unintentionally weighted) But those dice are gorgeous!!
They look really pretty! Really like the rainbow dice.
If I ever go back to playing in person, I'm 100% gonna get a set personalized for the character
