I loved the older Father Christmas decoration; how it shimmered in the lights. And I have to tell you, I learn so much from you. Books for Christmas, artists, and very cool ideas for decor. Thank you so much. 💓
Hi Miranda. I've recently started watching your videos and unintentionally am on a slight binge! They are such a source of comfort in these strange times! I had to stop and mention the wonderful relationship you and your mother have, it is such a joy to watch!! I am 24 and have a 4 year old daughter and every time I watch your videos I find myself hoping that we are as close as the two of you when she is grown. I am in absolute awe. Sending you both well wishes x
This is gorgeous. And of course your mum was a teacher! Oh, I bet she was much loved by her students. She comes across as such a kind, encouraging soul
My Mum used to make Advocaat drink every Christmas. I think that it was very similar to the Christmas drink you make. If I remember correctly, Mum put brandy in the Advocaat.
Lovely ! With such festive atmosphere you both made me forget all about the pandemics , the preocupation and suffering of this moment. A minor issue is that there is no Christmas Fair this year in Bremen. It is always very magical and I used to buy each year a new bird ornament for my tree after trinking a good Glühwein cup.Well, I am decorating a little, reading Christmas related books an eating many treats. Videos like this brings a lot of comfort.Thank you🌲🌲🌲
Here's to looking forward to Christmas markets next year, I hope! I'm sure they'll feel all that more magical when we can go again. Enjoy getting cosy with your Christmas books 😊 📖 🎄
I think I prefer the three trees to the one. What a clever idea. They look just gorgeous. I love the warmth of the red and gold. You have created a Christmas oasis!
Yay! Such a fun holiday vlog!! Miranda, your hair looked so pretty and I loved your dress. I really miss dressing up! Your trio of mini Christmas trees is perfect idea and you decorated them beautifully. It was so much fun to see all of your ornaments. The beet was super cute! Once again, you and your mom made me smile from ear to ear and it took my mind off missing my own friends for a while. Thank you again for the Monday joy!! xoxoxo :D
Hi Miranda and Donna!!!! A pleasure to ser you back again!!! You make such cozy and Christmassy videos, vlogmas.. I love your fresas, Miranda!!! It looks so femenine!!! Thank you and to see you soon!!!😘😘🌲📚🎅🌺🌷🌾
Thank you for bringing so much calm, peace and relaxation to the festive season this year. I am find all your videos to be valuable mental balms for me, and these Christmas ones are particularly appreciated. Wishing you and Donna a joyous and special Christmas in your new home and good health and much happiness in 2021. 🎄⭐️⛄️😊. 🦊📚🤓
Miranda your multi tree idea is genius! Especially for a smaller dwelling like mine👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽. Your place looks so pretty and it’s so uplifting during these strange and dark times we live in☺️. Your home is so cozy and lovely🤩.
Thank you so much, Deb!! I wasn't sure how the three trees would turn out, but I actually really like it! Mum and I are loving turning on all the twinkly lights and feeling cosy in the evenings. Hope you're having a good December; take care xxx
We all really enjoyed watching the video. Lovely tree decorations, so elegant all of them. I can see how much you and Donna are enjoying countryside Christmas this time xx
Another great video, thank you. Fun seeing you and Donna decorating your trees and enjoying a festive beverage. I agree that it's important to dress up, even though none of us can actually do much or go out much. I'd never heard the poem you read before, it's so lovely, thank you for making it known to me.
Your home looks beautiful, Miranda and Donna. I adore your three Christmas trees adorned with all those gorgeous ornaments. One of my favourite is the cut out angel. And what a delicious Christmas drink! I could do with one right now! Xxx
Loved your tree celebration video!! What a wonderful idea to plant and reuse your trees next year. Neighbour Know How is such a wonderful thing to be lucky to lean on sometimes. 😊 The tradition of old and new on the tree is so wonderful to see. We have the tradition of one real tree that we decorate as our Woodland Tree, and every year we find one or two special ornaments for that tree. We also have the tradition of an artificial tree that is a Traditional themed tree in our living room which has mix of old and new. With the crowning piece being an old tin star that my parents first had when they got married over 65 years ago. They have had an angel as their tree topper for many years now but I asked them for the old tin star as for me that means Christmas. I have to thank you for showcasing the fold out cards in your last video. I have ordered the robin and the rabbit one to place on the mantel to go with our Woodland tree. I think they will be just the thing! And can't wait for our daughter to see them. As for the ornaments, we treasure the memories of each one as we decorate the tree. We love that the trees each tell their own stories from years gone by. We also have ballet slippers on our tree. A treasured purchase one year when we attended a performance of the Nutcracker. Like those ballet shoes, each ornament has it's own story that we revisit each Christmas. Thank you for sharing your lovely traditions with us. It's lovely to see your collections!! Also dressing up to mark an occasion is lovely & festive, and you both look wonderful! P.S. Thanks for the Easy Boozy Nog recipe!! A must try this year!! 🥂
Thanks so much for your lovely comment and sharing your own tree traditions! How lovely you have ballet slippers on yours too, and I can understand the sentimental attachment to old ornaments. It's lovely to have ones that have so much family history and meaning to them. Hope you enjoy trying the Christmas drink! xxx
I love the small trees in baskets! I enjoy fiddling with my decorations and this would be a great way to fiddle around with where to place the tree, too. Then I could easily add them to different spaces. And, thanks for recommending Bone China by Laura Purcell. I really enjoyed it. ❤️
Lovely video😊 I love your style. Your dress is just so feminine and delicate and suits you very well. Thank you for sharing your Christmas traditions with us. One of my favorite pastimes during Christmas is admiring Christmas decorations. You did wonderful decorating the Christmas trees.🎄🎄🎄
Oh!!!! Miranda you look Beautiful, I love your Dress...You and Your Lovely Mother Donna, has made this Holiday Season so Festive,,,the three trees are Gorgeous...Your Home is Amazing💕💕 Your living room looks like a Cozy Christmas Library 📚🎄...I can’t believe that Your Christmas Drink is so easy..that I can do no problem...One more thing Miranda, I read “The Story of Holly & Ivy” (another book from your recommendations) this past Sunday and oh my what a heart warming picture book, I wish it was a little short Christmas Movie...Thank you 😊🥰
Thank you so much, Kiki! Mum and I are loving sitting in this room in the evenings and having all the twinkly lights on! It feels very cosy! I'm so glad you enjoyed 'The Story of Holly & Ivy' - it touches my heart, that one! I agree it would make such a good short film. Hope you're having a lovely December, and I definitely recommend the Christmas drink! xxx
Everything is just lovely. Your frock is so pretty. It is snowing here in Colorado. You have put me into the spirit. The idea of three trees is wonderful! The old ornaments are exquisite. Such wonderful memories.
Thank you so much for this. I typically use a small tree at my fireplace but using three small ones looks so much better. I loved the ballet shoes and Alice in Wonderland ballet ornaments. I am missing ballet so much now too. You and your Mom both look gorgeous and festive. Looking forward to your Friday tea read.
Your trees are beautiful and I really love the individuality of collecting and keeping ornaments. We have some lovely ones. My grandparents' beautiful painted wooden ornaments were lost when they moved house and I still remember them 20 years down the line. The ceremonial serving of your Christmas drink was just wonderful. I'd love to read a book of collected family Christmas traditions!
I enjoyed every minute of this. That Christmas drink looks lethally easy to make , and drink! I bought the same glittery moon decoration for my sister who is having her first Christmas in a new house this year, I thought it was a beautiful shape, and the glitter was a lot of fun. Think you are helping us all feel very festive! X
Haha, it is all too easy to whip up (and drink!), Penny!! We have to be firm about 'only at Christmas' 😂 How fun you got the same moon - we loved the sparkles too! xxx
Miranda, you and Donna look absolutely lovely today! The trees are so beautiful and the Christmas drink sounds yummy (Can't wait to try it). However my favorite part was your reading of The Christmas Life by Wendy Cope. I read it a few days ago in The Faber Christmas Book and thought it was perfect for Christmas!
I wish we had smellovision, you two make so many lovely things that must smell absolutely fabulous! Your trees are beautiful and will no doubt give you so much pleasure during the weeks ahead. What a fab idea having three smaller ones, I really like that and planting them to bring in next year, marvellous, it’ll be nice to see how they’ve grown and will become part of your Yorkshire tradition 🎄💫 Stars and angel worked perfectly, I knew your mum would sort them out 🥰 Will definitely be giving your egg nog a try, how easy was that!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Karen! So happy you enjoyed this video! I am hoping we won't kill off the trees when we move them outside - we're not very greenfingered!! But our neighbour will hopefully sort us out 😂 Hope you're having a lovely December, and I highly recommend the eggnog!! xxx
Hi Miranda. Your room looks beautiful and very tastefully decorated. I have one large tree with treasured family decorations on it , a medium tree with vintage glass baubles and then a table top tree with Eastern European decorations - not all in the same room !
Hello Miranda and Donna! Your trees are so beautiful and festive. I so prefer trees with special ornaments that have been lovingly collected over the years. Your Christmas drink looks very tasty. Right now I am basically un-decorating our house because we have a new kitten that just wants to destroy everything. Our granddaughter begged me to adopt him and I just can't refuse her anything, but I am really rethinking this. While we love cats, I am wondering if I am getting too old to have them. Oh well maybe by next Christmas he will have settled down some. Thank you for sharing. I will enjoy your decorations vicariously. Take care...Crystal.
Oh dear; I can imagine how much work a new kitten is, Crystal! I'm sure your granddaughter is over-the-moon though! So glad you enjoyed our decorating - thank you xxx
So heartwarming to watch. I am catching up on all your earlier videos. Have you read Gervais Phinn? Think you would enjoy his school stories. They are funny like all creatures great and small. The three trees is perfect with the wide fireplace 🎄
P. S. Your dress is another very beautiful one and I adore your mom's brooch. I collect brooches, mostly Christmas ones.
Oh thank you very much! We both love brooches too 😊
Thank you for sharing your Christmas traditions with us during such a difficult time.
Our pleasure ❤️🎄
I loved the older Father Christmas decoration; how it shimmered in the lights. And I have to tell you, I learn so much from you. Books for Christmas, artists, and very cool ideas for decor. Thank you so much. 💓
