Dude, my Grandfather taught me 50 years ago this trick. Put a TAP WRENCH on the valve from the top. Nice T handle, you can pull towards you to apply some pressure if needed and very little slippage. Have not used those stupid rubber cup things ever. But then he did do a full 5 year apprenticeship on steam, diesel and gasoline, at an Engineering Shipyard from 1911 to 1916, then joined up at 20 years old, as a Sapper in the Royal New Zealand Engineers In Northern France and rode Dispatch on motorcycles in WW1, amongst.... some.... of his achievements,!!!!
Huh! Dude it's like a light bulb to me. What a clever idea. I was about to use a drill motor and a vacuum hose but l'm afraid l might burn it or something. But your grandpa will do the trick and it's much safer. I might do that next time if l ever do another. Thanks for your tip and l hope others will see it make it a lot easier for them. Great quick tip from OG like your grandpa. Awesome man!
I'm still working on the valve train. I got some spring retainers that l'm reluctant to use coz l didn't like how it seats on the springs but after l saw a video that a guy was using sk2 titanium retainers, it's seat just like what l have. Also, some of my rocker arm was worn out too. I'll repair those and thank you for mentioning it. It's a good idea to test it out w/ liquid and l'll do it on next. Stay tune bruh!.
I'm not sure coz l'm using a hose w/ 16an fitting. But info l got, upper hose from 92-95 Prelude, Lower from Da9 integra, you probably can use 94-97 Accord or Prelude also. Just need triming if its a bit longer soecially the upper side. You can always get any hose from your local auto parts store and try it for size and pick the 1 suit best and return the one that dont work.
97 lude lower hose and 99 Si civic top hose everything fits like OEM.. I trimmed my bottom hose about 1 3/4 inch and it actually lines up all the hoses it just fires better for my application only difference is mine is a coupe but it should help you out..

I love your calm approach to the tedious job of lapping the valve seats. Keep up the good work!
Thanks man! It really require lots of patience. Don't want to burn myself out so l took my time.
Thanks for the tips! These videos help keep me motivated man👍🏼
Keep on building man! Lol
Legend, thanks man💯
Thank you!
Are you gonna test those valve seals? Put head on its side an pour water in ports.
