    Tony, your videos meet my needs better than anybody else's out there. Yours are more practical, and you took the time to figure it out beforehand instead of just stumbling around trying to be the first vendor to post. Thanks, Tony!

      Most the people making those videos aren't actually selling the product, they just review so it's more about UA-cam views to them. For Tony it's to help sell units or at least get people into his store so he takes more time to give great detailed demonstrations.

    Tony, I always wait with anticipation for your videos. Your retail sales ability and gigging experience make them so much more meaningful to me personally. I was the GM of Technics in the US before Panasonic closed us. I would have loved to have someone like you on my national staff. Congratulations on another brilliant video and thanks for making the instrument and it's features relevant. Cheers.

    As usual, your reviews are absolutely the best out there, no only because of your concise explanations, and enthusiasm, but also your skill as a player.....I always look forward to them whenever there is a new keyboard out there, as you manage to cut to the chase so much better than other reviewers....Thank you, once again!

  • @Xaphryel
    @Xaphryel 9 місяців тому

    I would like your assistance if you are so kind...First of all, excuse me "my English", I am not a native English speaker...
    I am in a dilemma about whether to buy a KORG PA5X or a ROLAND FANTOM 0... I would like to know if the ROLAND FANTOM has the capability that the KORG PA series does have, which is to LOAD A SONG and SEPARATE IT by tracks; this greatly facilitates song editing. I assume that the ROLAND models would also have that very IMPORTANT capability... but I have not seen any mention in the many videos I watched about the FANTOM regarding that capability.
    Thank you so much, in advance...

    Thank you for the video. Would you please be so kind enough as to consider doing a review of the Roland Fantom 2019? It's not just a workstation, but I believe a fully fledged synthesizer. To celebrate their 50th anniversary, they've added a new wavetable engine to the keyboard. I really like it. Thank you!

    Is this easier to use than Yamaha Montage?
    I never used a synthesizer. Only piano and organ.
    Also second question, which has better pianos and organs sounds? Looking at Yamaha PSR SX900 , Montage and Roland Fantom.

    I have a Fantom 8 and although there is a significant learning curve, the excellent keyboard action and the ability to craft our own unique sounds make the keyboard well worth the price of admission. The main downside is that this is a very large and heavy keyboard so unless you have roadies to handle your gear, or you are a YOUNG, avid bodybuilder with a full size SUV to transport this in you wouldn't want to gig with this. I also have the RD-2000 and although it is significantly lighter and smaller, it is still a handful for one person to carry.

    • @jonswaino
      @jonswaino Рік тому

      What lighter keyboard would you gig with? I have the RD800 and while it's great it's so heavy! I'd like to get something lighter to take to gig practises.

    • @mrdali67

      Think its already out there, don't think the base sounds is any different from the Integra. Sounds pretty familiar to me, but I might be wrong. I aint a Roland user currently, but I doubt Roland has changed strategics lately. They normally rely on a sound generation for sbout a decade

    What is it mounted on? A spring? This one mode "scene mode" is this like the Jupiter X where you are always attached to a scene? I asked this on another video and they said no but now you are telling me it is. I have one coming today and I got rid of a jupiter X because of this. Its not what i want. I want a performance type memory for sure for creating 16 part tunes but i also just want it in a type of patch play mode where a scene isnt affecting the sound im creating at all. The JPX was tedious to use and you would create a tone in part mode, and then use it in a different scene and it would be modified by that scene. Am i making another mistake with this keyboard?

    I am curious to know your opinion about comparing Yamaha Montage VS Roland Fantom VS Korg Kronos

    • @BioSoftStudios
      @BioSoftStudios 5 років тому

      Maple Green montage can morph between the motif synth and the Yamaha DX
      Kronos has the 9 discrete synth engines similar to oasys
      So far, I’m aware that Fantom has the v-piano engine from the Roland flagship pianos

    • @tuneunleashed
      @tuneunleashed 5 років тому

      Look Korg Kronos: 9 Engines for each sound,Sampler( Can do about anything you want)
      Yamaha Montage: Pure Analog Circuit, FM Synthesis,Sampler (Can do about anything you want)
      Roland New Fantom: (Drum Pads, Very good Midi intergration has no sampler but can do much more( Can do anything you want)
      It’s all about YOU!!!!!! Cause I will tell you one thing every one is biased get your ass up and go try a board for yourself and at the end of the day you won’t even use all the features these top boards are offering cause I don’t with my Montage 8

  • @DiegoBezerraMusicKeyboard

    in acoustic children what is the best ghost or montage? I see that the sounds of the fantom are very similar to what I already have in Integra 7.

    Would like to see a comparison of the Fantom 8 to the fantom X8 fir functions, saving creations and how to find by letter - number - name orders. What is new and different , what is lacking, can you copy patches to usb thumb drive and use them from there, ect. No one has done this yet and i am sure there are many out there who want to know.

    • @delightmedia1556
      @delightmedia1556 3 роки тому

      The Fantom x8 is soooo outdated. A comparison with the Roland Fa- series will be better. I have owners the Fantom X8, and The Fa-08 as well. The X8 is not worthy.

  • @AlekVila
    @AlekVila 5 років тому

    Great video! You explained that the Fantom has just one mode called a Scene mode, but then you showed us that it also has a Single Tone mode. It seems that Scene mode is the equivalent of a typical performance mode on another keyboard, and Single Tone mode is like the typical voice mode. Is there a multitimbral mode such that 16 (or more) different sounds can be controlled separately via MIDI channels or is this done via Scene mode as well? Also, can all of the tones be edited or do you have to save them into user slots? If the latter, how many user slots are there for tones? Thank you so much in advance for any answers you can offer!
