Bremen St here, shown in the vid too right around the corner from the club. Walked by every day going to the Aligheri. Grace the crossing guard, that might have been the 80s. Def great job on the vid!
I'm grateful that you made this one. Eastie has been my home physically and spiritually for my 49 years. Italian and Irish myself. Definitely has changed here dramatically but I still feel at home overall. The best days are just far behind us, sad to say.
You brought me back to when I was in Florida & was playing ping-pong with a friend at an Irish bar. A Martorano brother was there with what seemed to be his bodyguard. ( he had a gun on his hip ) The bodyguard was a little to close to the ping-pong table & I asked him real nicely if he could move a little further from the table so I would have more running around space ! He made a face & mumbled something , but he moved ! I nicely told him " Thank U " ! 😂👊
Now I need to go to Santarpios, the pizza, the tips, sausage, what a Boston landmark, food is sensational, another great video dude, you bring back the nostalgia so well, love it
We just talked to her randomly at the end of the day is shooting we ate at Santarpios … she made the whole video though🤣🤣💯 so glad There’s people like that still alive !!!!
At @9.45 thats an interesting chart. Is Robert Ciampi a relative of Anthony Ciampi? That would be ironic! Mark and Anthony were enemies in the 1990s. And Michael Prochillo Sr was involved in that gang war but i just dont see much information of his activity during that era. He was on the Carrozza gang's hitlist in the 90s though.
Hey man South Boston born raised and still there. You did a great job on this Hope you are very proud of yourself. I go s lot of work in eastie developing new homes. This was a great look inside.
I could listen to you all day long! as a boomer in MA my whole life i can relate. in the late 80s i went to college in Boston n Randolph was crazy mob. Sharon, Quincy big dig, quarry the real estate companies, the power n corruption never ends
Back in the early 1980’s, I used to date girl who lived a couple of streets below the Madonna Shrine. I used to stay overnight at the family home, and occasionally wander off to a neighborhood bar. One afternoon I went to that bar for a sandwich n a couple of beers. After about an hour I ended up exchanged words with a guy that was highly intoxicated after he started giving me a hard time. Let’s just say that I was lucky to walk out that place, and not on a stretcher or in a body bag. I Had no idea who the guy was…🤦♂️🙏🏼
His middle name was Patrick. Yes, he was half Irish that was the whole thing he shouldn’t have ever been a made guy he wasn’t made until he came out of prison and all the stuff started.
Im originally a south boston guy i know some pretty scary dudes even today some of these guys when i go to boston to vistit family i go to these people everytime.good ol boys who can be trusted for anything.these are all childhood freinds me and mine call family.
Love Eastie, fond memories are a kid going to Orient Heights visiting my cousins, also late 90s Maverick sq some of the best tacos and papusas in the city. Maverick projects had the best view of the city probably why the tore them down and built apartments
How do you talk about eastie and not bring up cheeseman, he runs that entire area, rossetti is a fucking rat you bring him up every 5 minutes while DiNunzio brothers are active and running new england fr
In 72 my cousin told us to go to Marverick Sq to get some weed in my 69 GTO Judge, they would sell 5 grams of Primo weed for $10 in tiny bank envelops, but they were sold out so we bought some dust instead. We rolled the thinnest toothpick joint ever and my cousin said that way too BIG ! Whatever - we smoked it and the next hour or so was like time slowed down / we couldn't even hear my killer 6x9 rear speakers blasting the All Bros / my speed read 60 but it felt like we were barely moving ! We made it back to Medford and we just fell out of the car and laid down on the sidewalk, a cop pull up and asked what's going on, and we could do was laugh ... we never acquired a taste for dust, smoking & tripping was our thing & then were found the Grateful Dead - so many shows to ease my soul !
My grandfather was in that life had connects to the Patriaca Family and was in charge of the Genovese crew out of Springfield Ma and one In the Bronx too. He was a very powerful captain but he’s long passed now. that shit was over by 94 these guys in the video are talking 90s were the best the real gangstas we’re in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s when made guys were feared and had extreme power and influence 😅
I knew all these guys when I was a kid. I won’t get into too much detail but these Italians you mention came to my grandparents house when I was born and kissed my forehead out of respect. I grew up on Border and was always around Santarpios when Sammy ran the back of it and the rest of my fam are from the heights. The shit I seen back then was wild in the early 90’s. I miss the old days. Now East Boston is East El Salvador…
I was locked up with Eastie kid Mark Rosseti and the white guys were doing whatever he asked. The southie dorchester guys just fell back. I was with Craiglist Killer in Nashua st too. The spanish wanted to kill him but white dudes werent havent it. The justification was he didnt rape the women ( weird I know) but the spanish wanted him cuz he killed a Spanish girl. Again white dudes weren’t haven’t. When a certain guys got sentenced or released the politics would change overnight. Idk who did what but apparently Craiglist killed himself. Ive seem too much corruption from Correction Officers in the Bay and Nashua. Late 90s early 2000s Suffolk County was no joke.
I'm Irish and I bring my own butter love it 😅 the best to start a video 💯

Good video going out in the neighborhood and interviewing locals
That’s what we’re trying to do. It’s more accurate than me reporting from my bedroom on a laptop I think.

That is interesting. I don’t know if it’s a relation to the name. I have to take a look at that chart closely. It was just a mess in the 90s.
This was awesome
Jason , I’ve been watching for a year and I wanna congratulate you on your progression! What a great fucking video !

I could listen to you all day long! as a boomer in MA my whole life i can relate. in the late 80s i went to college in Boston n Randolph was crazy mob. Sharon, Quincy big dig, quarry the real estate companies, the power n corruption never ends
90’s were crazy in Eastie everyone paranoid on coke you could end up in the trunk of a car for no reason!
Sounds pretty accurate honestly
Back in the early 1980’s, I used to date girl who lived a couple of streets below the Madonna Shrine. I used to stay overnight at the family home, and occasionally wander off to a neighborhood bar. Hope your well bro. Come down to Springfield mass. I got you. C C
Good stuff
Trend lightly in east Boston
Funny he says...you can only understand life in reverse. I posted that on Facebook like a month ago. It's so true
can you do a story on Quincy, MA and the prominent corporations in that area?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Maverick born and raised ran the projects like the Carter mixed with the wire $$$
Cadillac Frank was part Irish ? I thought Made guys had to be 100 % Italian ?
His middle name was Patrick. Yes, he was half Irish that was the whole thing he shouldn’t have ever been a made guy he wasn’t made until he came out of prison and all the stuff started.
@jasontrimmins8264 thank U !

The big cheese is around just not involved.

A Rat Saying Don’t Be A Fucking Rat Is Crazy 😂 Also Jacking A Hood You Got Dropped From And Having To Start Jacking Latin King Is Crazy 🤣
The lady at the beginning is absolutely right. The city is a completely different place in last 25 years. The spirit is gone..
I was locked up with Eastie kid Mark Rosseti and the white guys were doing whatever he asked. The southie dorchester guys just fell back. I was with Craiglist Killer in Nashua st too.
