I am 60 years old and working 12-hour shifts at a job I absolutely hate but you guys are absolutely living the dream! I love this channel because I can live vicariously through you.
Well Richard I'm 62 but disabled cannot do the stuff I used to do I'm a diehard Chevy man but these guys have me thinking I might try Ford again never had good experience with one but he'll maybe being an old fartz what it takes
Enjoy watching the two of you, so nice to see father and son have such a wonderful relationship. Can see there is a lot of love in this family. Thank you for sharing your videos.
Silent subscriber here.. This reminds me of the days when I was a kid working with my dad on cars back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Taught me everything I know. Great to see a father and son be so happy and energetic. I miss those days and my dad. Hold on to these memories kiddo 👍
Really love this chaannel. Brings back so many memories of my child life. 63 yrs ago at 5 pumping brakes to bleed the air . at 68 I'm not able to do anything now.. A Dr cut my spine in 79 but deterioration of it now has me in bed. No fun or income sucks.
If that was my kid I'd be grinning ear to ear. Wish I had a dad like that when I was young. It's kind of bitter sweet watching this. Love the truck too.
With power steering and access to that junk yard you should look at converting it to disc brakes, redo all the bushings on the I beams and do power brakes as well. Especially with kids and the wife driving. It’s basically a modern truck at that point.
Love seeing you two together making videos working on cars together, so many adults are to busy doing things instead of spreading time with there kids which makes them turn Twords video games , social media, or just getting into the wrong sort of things, and plus your teaching jack some constructive in life, which I could never knock, especially at such a young age, he will have so much knowledge in so many fields by the time he becomes a young adult, which most adults don’t have half of what he already knows at his young age.. awesome job, and awesome vids and content as always.
Keeping the pulley set up for AC reminds me that the first vehicle I had with AC was when I spent two years in Oklahoma during my service with the Army in 1966. We had little need for AC in NY. Every one said it was a “dry” heat in Oklahoma and wasn’t that bad. Dry or not, the 110+ summers were too much for us without air conditioning. I love watching Kent and Jack work together. I spent many Saturday hours in junk yards in the late 50’s and early 60’s with my dad picking parts to keep our old cars going so mom and dad could get to work on Mondays. Sadly, I reached a point where age and technology keep me from doing my own work.
I really enjoy your videos, I’m a 75 yr old woman who has never understood car mechanics (not the people) but the operation of the motor. So I’m surprised that I enjoy you guys so much. I don’t mean because of who you are but I find each of you very clever in how you teach subscribers on the how and the why behind your putting ancient vehicles back to an operating status. Being an ancient vehicle myself I admire your respect for what’s old!!! By the way I guess I had an early interest in cars. I drove my boyfriends’ 1956 Ford in a Powder Puff stock car race and won! When my dad found out, I was 14yrs old at the time, I was grounded for a year! That event damaged any interest I may have had early in life. Anyway, keep up your very successful channel, I can’t wait to see what you guys do next!❤
Awesome job you guys!! That was a great video, I loved it. Small improvements like that go such a long way! Mom looked so happy driving, that was golden. Be Safe, you guys, and God Bless all of you! Thanks for sharing........................
I love those trucks, but here in Canada, the ridge on the inner fender, that the hood mounts to rot out because of the salt on the roads, very hard to find one that isn't rotted out, I'm anxious to see this finished. Keep up the great work guys.
Such a joy to see both father and son having such great success with the Ranchero power steering & column. I think buying a whole donor truck was the right ✅ 🤔 decision ❤
Have done a couple of p/s swaps on old classic cars. It always pays to take all the parts even the ones you think are the same, some vehicles the drag/center link and steering arms are different. Love the longer format 30 - 40 mins are ideal in my opinion.
When I started driving, I started with my dads 76 F100. He pulled the 300 6cyl, and we rebuilt a 302. After driving it for about 6 months, my mom thought the manual steering and 33's was too much for me. She made my dad put in power steering. That steering was so light you could drive with half a finger on the wheel.
Seeing you up in the engine cavity reminds me of being a little girl, my big brother sat me on the carburetor breather and I would hand him tools as he worked on his Yellow Ford pickup. Thank you for sharing.
My dad and father really taught me how to work on cars and the first vehicle I learned on was a 95 Grand Prix SE. Had the 3100 and that was when I learned about the intake failures. I was 8 years old at that time. It was really fun working on it with them. Unfortunately that car is is no longer on the road. Was involved in a rear end collision. But I will never forget that. I’m almost 21 as well
I had to swap my 89 ford f150 steering wheel it also had the blinkers not work same side in front and rear I took the rear wires and switched them around. Worked like a charm
I don't watch shorts. Great video. Reclocking the steering wheel should be easy but make sure the alignment is right first. Fairlane wheel is a bit smaller I think. Forgot, great work Jack.
I'm so,so glad to see a new video on your channel. Been missing y'all!!!I know you have a day job and Jack has school but it sure would be great to see more frequent full videos.ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE Y'ALL!
Excellent video as usual love watching you work together with your son and building is encouragement into doing things himself. I can see he’s not scared to tackle anything. In the video where you were taking the steering rack out inside the engine Bay wouldn’t it have been easier to have removed the hood as you are replacing it anyway? Keep up the good work the pair of you 👍🏻
That's a beautiful truck I have a 67 basically same truck it took me a bit when I converted it to power steering seeing this video reminded me of doing this job.
I grew up with a 69 fi50, dad let me blow the straight 6 in it and put a 360 with 4 on the floor. That truck was no joke after that ❤ First gear could pull a tractor trailer 😊
Thank you Kent. Have not seen you on in awhile. Been seeing Jack. Thank you for sharing.Never a more iconic statement. If momma is happy everyone’s happy! 😆💯👊👍💕
So glad to have you back. Also have missed Thursday garden updates these last few weeks. How are the pumpkins? Also wanted to say, it has been a long time since we have seen Mom and she looks great!!
FYI on those old ford's of that generation if yor steering column seems to be "sliding down " check your front cab mounts they horribly notorious for rusting out and collapsing really really really quick way to check, check your body lines and see if the front ones are starting to droop they make retro kit for them so it's not a game ender
Since you already have it hooked to the wrecker, why not just boogie on home? Drop it off. Fill his diesel tank up. He should be happy unless it's already full of fuel and he doesn't get anything out of it. But you could offer him two or three? Bob

I think Jack is an awesome young man and one of my favorite people to watch on YT. You go Jack!
Thanks!

Good truck, my Dad drove a 67 for 18 years. He put in power steering as well, along with a C4 transmission. He didn't love shifting all the time. Lol
I had a 79 f 150 ,3speed on the column, I was always working on it and loved that old truck 😊

So glad to see another long form video. I just got done with Vice Grip Garages and Garage Goblin and this is a great follow up.
I sure have missed seeing both you guys junkin' together again ! -- Bless Y'all !
I just can't get over how fast Jack has grown since I started watching his videos. Such a fine young man.
Now it needs power disk brake conversion! 😎🏴☠️
That would be nice
If that was my kid I'd be grinning ear to ear. Wish I had a dad like that when I was young. It's kind of bitter sweet watching this. Love the truck too.
Your a lucky man to have jack, and jack is a lucky lad to have a dad like you, keep it up guys love the videos.
With power steering and access to that junk yard you should look at converting it to disc brakes, redo all the bushings on the I beams and do power brakes as well. Especially with kids and the wife driving. It’s basically a modern truck at that point.
Smart dad equals a smart kid
Keep at it Jack
That was a great swap, everything always takes more time than you think it will. Great to see Jack and his Dad working together

Good truck
One of the things that I love from Old Trucks is the room to work.
Great seeing you and Jack back at it working on the Ford. Glad you got the power steering hooked up in your truck. GOD bless y'all.
Thanks 👍

I turned wrenches for Ford way back in the day.
Loved the old Fords even though the saying was Ford: found one the road dead.
Motor craft 👍👍👍
Great video. I love watching you guys. I just wish you would upload more often!
That camper special bed is nice. The tool box is in good shape.
She loves it. Look at the smile you put on her face. You are a good son
"When Mama's happy, everyone's happy" words to live by!

Jack, I continue to be amazed at what you are able to do and willing to try. Way to go. Dad you are awesome.
Jack looks like he getting a lot taller, what are you feeding that guy.
I had to swap my 89 ford f150 steering wheel it also had the blinkers not work same side in front and rear I took the rear wires and switched them around. Worked like a charm
Love that truck. So easy to work on. Cool color as well. Bet you don't ever sell her now.

That power steering bracket is worth almost the cost of a power steering column!
That truck was a nice find!
Such a great family and cool old truck. Thanks for sharing speedbump!
6:22 just remember that all toe trucks have damage free toeing. The damage is free 😅
😂

It's great to jack work on vehicles with his it definitely shows jack loves doing
Love the salvage yard visits!
Grow jack go!!! You will want the power brakes to.

You may wish to get the power brakes. The old F100 brakes were terrible when towing a boat.
Jack's grown up so much you're going to hire AJ to get into those tight places soon
Good video
Great you found that parts car .
Good job
Thanks for posting a long form video. I really enjoy Jack's shorts but a nice long video can't be beat for me. 😁
Thanks, we have a few more coming soon
Had a '67 F100 years ago. I really wish I still had it.
I love y'all's videos ❤ keep making y'all's videos
That man basically did the Oklahoma you got this borrow the wrecker you’re fine.
Now test the donut factor WITH power steering... eazy schmeezy !

We would have had to put tires on the ford to do that. Seemed like grabbing our trailer was the easiest option
SBG - you ROCK!
Thanks!
Shorts are a great filler, love both kinds of videos
Woo hoooo.. full video 😊😊😊😊😊 missed you guys
You should post more episodes I like watching them more at least I do
"Easy Job. 20 Minutes in and out." ^^
