I've been doing concrete in michigan for 25 years. And I will tell you this, it doesn't get better than this. It always amazes me how it is done differently around the country. We still rent the stamps and get out on them and tamp them in. The rollers you have are awesome!! Your product you leave is awesome. Your finishing is awesome. Your housekeeping is awesome. Nothing beats a good crew and you guys are a great crew. Excellent job men!!
I'm so glad i clicked on this vid today. It's been posted before, however i passed it up because life preempted. The patio is awesome. The smaller projects reallly made the existing look so much better. I've reallly picked up so many tips and tricks i can't wait to try. I'm an old dog waiting to try them😂. Forget about it. Thank you Sir. God Bless.
I would like to see follow up videos of projects a couple months later and see how they look. Thank you for the quality of workmanship you put out it's Outstanding !!!
I could hear the experience in your description of the process. We go by feel and if it starts to stick just slow the roller down a tad. In watching so many of your videos, I'm pulled two ways. One, you're the owner, the boss - they do the work, you supervise. Two, I always hated my boss to stand back and watch me work like he didn't trust me to do it right. I think it's nice that you not only supervise but you're in the cement doing the work. Yeah, that's pretty neat. Eventually though, you know you're gonna have to shift you're roll onto Steve. You've been putting in you're part for a long time, your company is well established and sought after, well known for the quality of workmanship. Not today but in the near future you're job should change to quality control and just handle the top end of your work - getting the jobs, assigning the crews to the jobs and visits to jobsite for quality inspection. You know, a little reaping what you've sown over the years. You really do have it right though, I think your work is awesome and you are putting a permanent piece of you all over Pennsylvania! Enjoyed your video Tom, thanks!👌👍❤
I like the technique that you guys employed in order for the power buggy to go above the form while it stays on place. Awesome Thank you for sharing this good content
Love the planned efficient way of knocking out 3 jobs at once. I’m only 19 and it is disappointing that so many people around my age haven’t even got common sense let alone the skills to run an efficient but reputable business. Great Job
When I say we don’t use it a lot like that I meant for domestic use. Industrial use for sure. For homes we tend to lay patio slabs , porcelain or sandstone 440mm x 440 mm and so on on top of a compacted loose material base. But I love the effect you get with concrete
I gotta get a few rollers and the stone edge forms you use. Nicely done. I use mats for my concrete business in Virginia PA born and raised👊🏼💪🏼 You got a new subscriber Keep up the great work
Good Morning! Have a great week - thanks for the great content!!! BEAUTIFUL JOB! (the guys were doing a bit more than usual of "tool tossing" and it had me on edge!)
I love watching your videos, I know a little about concrete bu can you do a video, kinda info video and explain the tools and techniques and why you do some of the things you do,thanks
I like your videos a lot for their information, and have learned a lot in the last couple of months. Consider telling Emily (I think I heard that was her name) to drop the music. I miss a bunch of things you say because I mute the music. Just the sounds sped up is great for us in construction, we usually don't need a slick presentation to draw us in to learn from real quality workmanship.
All ways Tom's attention to crake control is great, thinking ahead which makes a concrete pad nice 2 years later. I am starting to like that Roller and the color more and more. Great vid Tom.
Your videos are really good and look forward to each new one. Wonder if you could do a short video with a bio and introduction for each of the crew members? :)
I am not a homeowner so I am unclear about sidewalks facing a public street. Why are homeowners responsible for maintenance? I thought they were considered public access so the deed falls to the city. Always enjoy watching the stamping uploads. Thanks for sharing.
Frequently they do belong to the city, but not always. ALWAYS check with your local government regarding any work on sidewalks and driveway aprons facing the street before pouring concrete.
Beautiful job👍 I am doing my sidewalks it seems every 16ft they put a expansion joint is it necessary I don’t think I saw them in your sidewalk video Thx.
Hola soy de vzla me encantan sus trabajos son exelentes. los felicito. Cómo me gustaría aprender. Me gustaría hacerle algunas preguntas . Muchas gracias
was wondering after the job is completed and you set up some cones. do you leave them for the customer to pull in a few days or do you come back for them. And if you leave them do you factor those costs into the bid on the job? thanks, love the work you all do.
why can't you use 4" nylon cable ties for rebar? that would be like a penny apiece if you bought enough of them. i was just waiting for someone to go ass over tea kettle on that one that was slapping free at the beginning of the shoot.
Great music intro. Making it look easy again. Hey…I had entered a drawing on another UA-cam channel to win a shirt, sweatshirt and gift card. I didn’t win because the guy that runs the channel plays favorites. Was hoping you might do the same sometime. (Haha)
What material do you use on the buggy? I’ve been trying to find one that I can stay on the buggy we rent but it’s either to long or not wide enough or I can only use it once(Splatter guard)
I got them at Home Depot just rubber throw down mats it was very simple to make I did a video on it back in the beginning it’s called change my life scroll back to that and you’ll see how to make them thanks
I'm in Australia. How come you guys don't use Topline pole dummy jointers. No pressure on the straight edge and no kneel board marks. You yanks invented em. Just a thought.
@@Concretewiththehauses try using the groover with an aluminium straight edge. Extruded aluminium can be purchased from window suppliers. It comes in all widths and plastic joiners can be easily made to extend the length.
We have a bunch of other stamps that we use. Right now tho, it seems like most of our customers are opting for the rolled slate finish. Thanks for watching!

I like the splash guard on your power buggy.

I used to artex looks similar to do, it fantastic well done guy's.
Despite what anyone thinks this is not good quality work . Rebar should be tied and those few pieces of rebar are an example of cutting corners .

I wondered the same thing, I always thought towns/cities were responsible for sidewalks. Learned something new today, thanks!
The cities are usually only responsible for all the rules and fees of the homeowners responsibly.
Our housing plans around here is up to the homeowner to maintain but it is public property
Watching from Davenport Iowa 👍thanks for the video
Nice and clean, great job guys.

A concretor is a hard head with a wrecked back. A mason is an artist in stone. There's a world of difference
Great work!! Does the concrete have a color added to it? Or is it just the secondary color with the liquid Release? Looks great.
I believe that was just antiquing on top
WOW! I love your and your crew's work!

Good and beautiful work........ But what is the use of red rollers or red rollers?
That is how we give it to slate texture
Nice elliptical shape on that patio. Not your normal looking backyard flat work. Nice job as always.

We have them lined up to next July But Donna and I look at jobs 2 or 3 nights a week until Weather gets bad.

Tom who did you learn the concrete work from?

What kind of measurements are you using for the pigment color in liquid release?
We usually use an 8 ounce cup per sprayer full if we want it darker for the borders we will double that

Hello Tom !!!! Is the straight edge made from alimanum ????
They are magnesium
Tell the home owner their American Flag is hanging backwards. Great channel!
Nice job.
Looking good!
I’m sure you tried to talk them into a concrete step to match the patio!
They are going to make some changes to the deck. Not sure what size step they will do later with new decking bords
Wire mesh & rebar should be in the center of the thickness. If it’s 4” deep concrete rebar & wire mesh should be at the 2” depth.
