I know what interview u heard this from. Maybe one source of the discrepancy in income could come to the fact that the Knowles family had the greatest share in Destiny's Child as a business venture. Remember, in this family alone, a daughter was in the group(making money), the dad was the manager(making money), and the mom was the stylist(making money). I believe letoya and latavia. However a group can’t have separate managers. Only way is for them to agree on 1 manager or majority vote, but case of split 2/2. The 2 didn’t want Matthew when he had been driving force to get them to that point, quitting his job. Even though they wanted new / their own, he was also dad of the main talent lead singer so I can see their decision to move forward quick with momentum of album instead of stalling in releasing their biggest song on the album. They should have communicated they weren’t happy and explained meeting communicated about how money was split..
I 100% agree, especially with the communication part. I just wanna say that they were all young(around 18). So they didn’t really know how to deal with a situation like this. Tavia and Toya have actually said that they wished they communicated with Bey and Kelendria.
It's easy to say its Beyonce's fault but what seems to be consistent throughout all the interviews is that the girls cared for each other and miscommunications played a major role. . Matthew did what he had to , he did almost go through a divorce, sacrificed a lucrative CEO position and spent a lot of money to help these girls make it as far as they did . Latavia and Letoya's parent should have got a better manager contract with Matthew . They couldn't start anything without them .

When you have an album out you have to promote it and do rehearsals, prepare for videos, etc. When you don't show and make demands that half the group won't agree to -- guess who gets to be the odd "women" out. It made sense that they were ousted. Frankly, they weren't missed and the group didn't miss a beat. Groups have ONE manager, not two or four. That's not how the business is conducted. It doesn't matter what team anyone is on. This happened over a decade ago and they have all moved on.

I know what interview u heard this from. Maybe one source of the discrepancy in income could come to the fact that the Knowles family had the greatest share in Destiny's Child as a business venture. I believe letoya and latavia. However a group can’t have separate managers. Only way is for them to agree on 1 manager or majority vote, but case of split 2/2. The 2 didn’t want Matthew when he had been driving force to get them to that point, quitting his job. Even though they wanted new / their own, he was also dad of the main talent lead singer so I can see their decision to move forward quick with momentum of album instead of stalling in releasing their biggest song on the album.
They should have communicated they weren’t happy and explained meeting communicated about how money was split..
I 100% agree, especially with the communication part. I just wanna say that they were all young(around 18). So they didn’t really know how to deal with a situation like this. Tavia and Toya have actually said that they wished they communicated with Bey and Kelendria.

It's easy to say its Beyonce's fault but what seems to be consistent throughout all the interviews is that the girls cared for each other and miscommunications played a major role. . Matthew did what he had to , he did almost go through a divorce, sacrificed a lucrative CEO position and spent a lot of money to help these girls make it as far as they did . Latavia and Letoya's parent should have got a better manager contract with Matthew . They couldn't start anything without them .

actually they only got checks for the albums they were on and the lawsuit money. Legally speaking, they had no claim over any future albums they didn't help create.
When you have an album out you have to promote it and do rehearsals, prepare for videos, etc. When you don't show and make demands that half the group won't agree to -- guess who gets to be the odd "women" out. It made sense that they were ousted. Frankly, they weren't missed and the group didn't miss a beat. Groups have ONE manager, not two or four. That's not how the business is conducted. It doesn't matter what team anyone is on. This happened over a decade ago and they have all moved on.

LeToya never missed a performance... However on Europe tour LaTavia wasn't able to attend because of sickness... They had no choice but to continue without LaTavia. Matthew was even considering of replacing LaTavia with their choreographer, Janella. What really happened with Destiny's Child was when their original manager Andretta Tillman passed in 97, Matthew took over the group, thats when Beyonce got pushed forward and the other members were behind her, I'm sure at the time she was put in a weird position she was a teenager and really didn't have much of a voice in the group...so what did she do mind her father and became lead
