I had Coco Chanel in 2004. Thank you for the wonderful history. I love studying about the amazing lady. I want to try this new one just out of curiousity. The description is so wonderful. But I don’t care for musk. It took me awhile to get use to Coco Chanel. Im afraid I’m a Gucci- Givenchy girl. Congratulations on the subscribers! Fantastic! Your channel is awesome! ❤
Congrats on your growing channel. 🎉 Lovely review. My sample comes by mail next week, as I don’t have access to the Les Exlusifs line where I live. I adore Chanel aldehydes (1932) and Chanel musk (1957) so I know I will love this. Perhaps in a few years I’ll acquire a partial bottle at a decent price, like I have with most of the CHANELs in my collection. 😉 Love the relaxed chat, review, and history as well.
Thank you so much!🙂 I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. That’s actually a great way to acquire fragrance from this line without breaking the bank. The retail prices are crazy. I wouldn’t mind buying second hand Chanel but I avoid discounters because of fakes. Thanks for watching!🙂
Hi Luke! Congratulations on your 1K milestone!🎊 🎉🥳 You have a wonderful channel. You’re knowledgeable, well spoken, and above all, honest! You describe the perfumes so well, and point out who they might or might not be for. 😊 Such a refreshing change. I love listening to you describe the perfumes, their history, and your own experiences with them. Another lovely review 😉 Onward and upward, my friend!🥳🎉
Indeed! 240€ for the smaller size is a staggering amount of money. The only one from the line I would (and probably will) get one day is Coromandel. It’s absolutely divine. But I’ll have to survive on dupes until then.
Congratulations on Cracking 1k subscribers Luke !! You deserve it you love your Reviews !! Your friend in Vintage fragrance Laura from Canada 🎉🎉👍🏻👍🏻😊😊💐💐🇨🇦🇨🇦🌺🌺
Congratulations 🎉 that's lovely ❤ Not tried this one, but I think you might enjoy Misia... I've warmed to no5. I wear it occasionally and I never thought that would be me at all 😂
Hi Claire, thank you!🧡 Misia sounds like something I would enjoy. Not sure I want to try it though… then I’ll need a bottle!😂🤭 I’m glad you’ve warmed up to No.5. I tried to love it and I only love the most expensive version, the parfum.
Congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers; well deserved 👏. Comete sounds lovely, if it has L'instant Magic vibes, but after Chanel's recent price hike, I'm not sure I'll ever afford Coromandel which has been on my bucket list forever 😀
Thank you so much Cathy! I love Coromandel too. I’ll pick it up one day, hopefully. I might have to close my eyes when I swipe the credit card though!🫣
@@lukeparfums Me too! Recently I was online looking to see if Chanel did body lotions/creams of Coromandel but couldn't find any. Hopefully I'll get it this year.
@@kathywitter6076 I’ve only seen body lotions and creams of the fragrances from their regular line, not the exclusive. I have the Coco lotion and it’s very strong and super heavily scented. There are quite a few Coromandel dupes available but they’re all quite pricey. The Alexandria one would cost me over 70€ with shipping and taxes so I’m not sure I’m willing to pay that kind of money for a clone in a generic looking bottle. Reminiscence Patchouli is a nice alternative, though not a dupe in my opinion. I want the real thing. One day.
@@lukeparfums I'd rather save up than go down the dupe route for Coromandel. Yes, Chanel's lotions are excellent quality and good enough to be used without layering with a perfume; I have a soft spot for Allure lotion. Tslking about patchouli have you heard of the house of Honore Payan or Les Nereides? It's a complicated story involving licensing; basically Honore Payan manufactured Patchouli Antique for Les Nereides/Reminiscence but Payan's prices were much cheaper gor thecssme quality! The licencing deal has ended. I'm tempted to buy several perfumes from them but not sure if customs will be a problem.
I have not but Les Nereides rings a bell. Honore Payan has an Italian website and their fragrances are around 50€. I can’t find one called Patchouli Antique. Which ones are you interested in? I hope I’m looking at the right website. Thank you for introducing me to this house.
I used to love Sycomore but the EDP version is not as good as the original EDT. I won’t repurchase. I’ve not tried Comete yet but I will as I live in a big city and we have a Chanel counter walking distance from my home
Luke - I have two questions for you - not at all related to this Comete video - but related to the fact that I've now viewed all of your posted videos! I am wondering two things. First, have you tried the newest version of YSL Yvresse? is it ok compared to the vintage? And second, if you use a vintage version of Lancome Hypnose or the latest version? Thanks! As for Comete - it sounds wonderful - but I am tired of Chanel price tags - and tired of how many times I've gotten Chanel fakes on US discount sites, trying to save money on Chanels. I did manage to get authentic bottles of Chanel 31 Rue Cambon, Jersey and Coromandel - and I LOVE them! My bottle of Bois des Iles edp? Not so sure I got the authentic...sigh. It's the way it is in the world of Chanel perfumes...
Hi there! First of all, thank you for your support and for watching all of my videos. I really appreciate it.🙂 Now, to your questions. Regarding Yvresse, I’ve tried it fairly recently, and it’s a nice scent but not the same as the vintage version. My bottle of Hypnose, sadly used up now, was about 5 years old. I’ve not tried the current version. Regarding Chanel, I love discount sites, but I always buy Chanel from authorised retailers or chanel.com because of the ubiquity of fakes, which you noticed too. I hope your Bois des Îles turns out to be authentic!
@@lukeparfums Thanks, Luke. I'm mad about the number of Chanel fakes out there (Tom Ford too btw) and how the discounts sites which get fat off of innocent buyers but don't protect them enough from the counterfeiters! Anyway - thank you so much for sharing your experiences above. I shut my eyes and spent a small fortune on a vintage bottle of Yvresse (I've read and heard you and others I trust rave about this perfume!). I'm so looking forward to getting it!
You made it to 1K!! You're getting there ❤

I love my Comete. It’s like cuddling a big fluffy European Pillow ☺️
It does! It’s spowdery and comforting.🙂

I saw that scent in the Chanel beauty boutique, but I didn’t test it because I was afraid I’d like it 😂
I love that!😂 Good call! Thanks for watching!🙂
I’m anxiously waiting for Comète to be available on Chanel boutiques in Brazil, but the associates don’t have a clue when it’s really coming.
I hope you’ll be able to test it soon. Thanks for watching!
A bit like the real thing.
Ooh sounds nice I need to try it. Congratulations 🎉Luke well deserved I love your channel 😊
