And since some crazies wigged out on the writers, one of them had to say that they always were going to have Vi and Cait realize their past mistakes and miscommunication, allowing Cait's anger at Jinx to go away so she can love Vi again. In episode 6 Caitlyn was already flirting with a brothel girl with ease. The writer (Amanda Overton) said that she used to sneak girls inside her room as a kid so Cassandra wasn't surprised when she brought another girl home in ep 8. My takeaway here is that the writers are showing that Cait's coping mechanism is sex whereas for Vi its hard drinking and pitfighting. I also have to add that Amanda said in her live stream that Maddie is the exact type of person her mother would have approved of her dating. Nolen means "honorable" so Maddie must have come from a noble piltovian family. In the end, it harkens back to Caitlyn in season 2 being burdened with her family legacies.

Cait is NOT invested in things as Maddie is. Maddie is ABSOLUTELY head over heels for Cait…just as Vi is. But at the same time, Maddie also has a bit of “hero worship” going on. It is clear that she will probably do anything Cait says, follow her anywhere, do anything to support her. She wants Cait to see what she sees so much, to support her, to be whatever she needs that she might just be totally oblivious to the fact that she is the rebound….and that is not going to end well for her. Did Maddie do anything wrong…no. Did Cait? Technically…no. But at the same time, this is NOT the relationship anyone wanted to see play out. I am also to the point of thinking after Ambessa told Vi that her absence “left a vacuum for her to fill”….so I would be 0% shocked if Ambessa didn’t somehow manipulate them into getting together to begin with, despite her advice on “professional entanglements.” And as much as I still try to logic my way out of it…I still get physically ill seeing this scene play out between these two.
As much I clearly prefer "Cait x Vi" and absolutely don't ship Cait with Maddie, I still think that this Scene (what takes Place 7-8 Months after Cait's and Vi's Breakup, so it makes this Affair not that rushed) was good to be putted in. Not only because it finally shutted the Mouths of People who still didn't get that Cait is also a Lesbian and not just Vi (despite obvious Hints already in Season 1) and to make "Cait x Jayce"-Shippers finally clear that "CaitJayce" (or however it's called) will never happen (they wrote very rude Comments in Fangroups to CaitVi-Shippers back then after End of Season 1 and were writing that Cait and Jayce would come together after Cait and Vi breaking up and all that stupid Crap), this Affair with Maddie also made Cait realize that she still loves Vi, what you can clearly see on her Face that she's feeling very uncomfortable with Maddie and that's why Cait's and Vi's Breakup thankfully doesn't last long. I think that it's good they putted this sexual Affair of Cait with Maddie into the Story for these from me mentioned Reasons. But that's just my Opinion how I feel about that Scene.

I'm pretty sure there is a time skip between episodes 3 and 4. They said Jayce and Mel disappeared from YEARS. And Caitlyn had the time to train a lot and to be less negative towards Jinx. So she didn't switched girlfriends just like that, there were years between, and to me, she never really moved on she just tries to fill the void, it's pretty obvious with how she leaves : Maddy is just there because Vi isn't.

Fyi, Maddie sadly bites the dust in Act 3. You can tell from the trailer when Caitlyn is looking up and enforcer body next to her on the ground. Personally, I feel really bad for Maddie and didn't/doesn’t deserve any hate. She is Caitlyn's side piece and may not realize that, but she helped keep some of Caitlyn's humanity.
Honestly, even after watching Act 3, i do think Maddie did help Cait keep some of her humanity. Here, she was convincing Cait to just call off the attacks at Zaun. Maddie is technically opposing Ambessa and is trying to stop Caitlyn from her rampage. That's why I was so blindsided by her reveal as a traitor in Act 3 since there was no indication of it (other than people hate her because she slept with Cait) and she technically did nothing wrong. She was a side piece but even SHE didn't know that. I don't get all the hate. I ship Caitlyn and Vi too but looking at it objectively, Maddie did nothing wrong until she betrayed Caitlyn.

Really disappointed that Caitlyn+Maddie thing happened in the first place, I am willing to bet that Maddie 1000% approached Caitlyn first; it was up to Caitlyn whether or not to accept. Sure she broke up with Vi, but come on, IMMEDIATELY being with another person just like that?? I thought Caitlyn was a type of character who built trust first, AND THEN be with a person, not swap out girlfriends just like a vending machine? Her writing didn’t make her seem like she can be won over romantically that easily? Feels like making her be with Maddie was an awful, out of character writing for Caitlyn.
I'm pretty sure there is a time skip between episodes 3 and 4. They said Jayce and Mel disappeared from YEARS. And Caitlyn had the time to train a lot and to be less negative towards Jinx. So she didn't switched girlfriends just like that, there were years between, and to me, she never really moved on she just tries to fill the void, it's pretty obvious with how she leaves : Maddy is just there because Vi isn't.

Fyi, Maddie sadly bites the dust in Act 3. You can tell from the trailer when Caitlyn is looking up and enforcer body next to her on the ground. Personally, I feel really bad for Maddie and didn't/doesn’t deserve any hate. She is Caitlyn's side piece and may not realize that, but she helped keep some of Caitlyn's humanity.

Honestly, even after watching Act 3, i do think Maddie did help Cait keep some of her humanity. Here, she was convincing Cait to just call off the attacks at Zaun. Maddie is technically opposing Ambessa and is trying to stop Caitlyn from her rampage. That's why I was so blindsided by her reveal as a traitor in Act 3 since there was no indication of it (other than people hate her because she slept with Cait) and she technically did nothing wrong. She was a side piece but even SHE didn't know that. I don't get all the hate. I ship Caitlyn and Vi too but looking at it objectively, Maddie did nothing wrong until she betrayed Caitlyn.
