Hi to the cutest couple on UA-cam! This video was great.. you really featured some excellent hidden gems. I came away hungry and that's a good thing! Hello to our favorite sister Yvonne... always good to see you. Sticky rice 🍚 is my choice ❤😊
Happy Monday Foodie Ohana! Always looking out for the locals again. I love how you guys find all the best eats and show us where the real grindz are on Oahu. You always make my stomach grumble. Mahalo! Keep up the great work because I love you so much. 🤙🏽💛🥡🍴🍚🌴🤤🌴
Casualty! And they sold out of the shumai! I feel your pain…😢 I’ve had the mandoo, and their spam musubi which is also very simple, nothing fancy, but everything tastes homemade at Louise’s Deli. Love your videos on these small places!
We need a Lani's Food Truck in San Diego ! Delicious & Affordable $$ ! Homemade is da best ! I love mandu & pork hash ! Poke bowl look so so fresh ! Shoyu on the side ! Mahalo Foodie Ohana for sharing !
Hi Amanda and Felix. All the food looked awesome. I remember years ago where the Pharmacy is used to be an okazuya. Thank you for the video. Take care and blessings. 💖🙏🌺💖
When I was living in California, there was a place that used to make teriyaki meatball, marinated in bulldog sauce over a bed of chow mein...it was great!
@@AmandaFelixEats I missed it so much, I would buy chow mein noddles, bulldog sauce, and marinate/cook some meatballs in teriyaki sauce. Whip them all together to help my California cravings. Also, since we don't have a Yoshinoya Beef Bowl here, I go to Matsuzaka-Tei Kalihi and get their Beef Bowl. I sprinkle some Red Pepper mix (Shichimi Togarashi) and it takes me back to what I miss from those California days.
Maybe sweetness in mandoo was from MSG. More awesome cheap eats. Thanks for the Louise's memories. My pediatrician used to be in this building over 50 years ago. (Yes, I'm dating myself). But I remember Louise's or at least that shop back then.
Lanie's Lunch Wagon is how I remember what a local lunch wagon should be. I can almost taste the meatballs and the giusantes chicken looked really ono. I am surprised meatloaf was not there also to take us all back 30 years in memories.
Great video! Ono looking food as always. Sorry Felix, plain rice for me with a poke bowl. The sushi rice kind of distracts from the flavor of the poke and adds a vinegar and sweetness. Though, maybe it works with the seared poke. On the other hand, Amanda's chirashi with sushi rice makes sense because it's basically a deconstructed nigiri sushi. Mahalo for the video.
I loveeeee matcha green tea right now but i have to have like a fruit in it. (like strawberry or peach, i think one time i had watermelon too but not to sure) also yes for sticky rice! I don't always get rice anymore because i have a rice cooker at home, but when i do get a poke bowl (at least at my local grocery store) it comes with the left over sticky rice and man i miss that!
ahhh, you guys come to this area!! You should try Malu honolulu at the old Samsung plaza for desert , and try Pate Vietnamese, I love their chicken wing but the Pho is also good too. And pretty affordable price!
@@antoniamarieguitas4051 Hi! No, we are not permanently closed. We are OPEN. We are at our location in Campbell industrial from Monday through Saturday about 10:30am to 2:30. Our menu does change day to day. You can find our menu in the photos on our Yelp. Just keep in mind that the pricing as change a bit since then but menu is pretty much the same. Some people do have a hard time finding us. We’re located across from Best vinyl at 91-181 Hanua street in Kapolei. And across from H-Power. Parked on the side of Matheson gas under a tree. Hopefully this information helps you. We hope to see you soon. Thanks!
Ohhhh brah Now I'm bumming! was at Kapolie last week and drove past that lunch truck....the line was kinda long...now I"m bummed I didn't go....Next time for sure!!!....Oh ya! today was crazy hot, I thought there was suppose to be trades?.....that Ono cold desert drink would have been soo perfect at work today...
I always need to have sticky rice with Thai curry, though I found out from Pailin's Kitchen that Thai people eat sticky rice with meats, not curries. Also, I found out that my Zojirushi rice cooker makes thai sticky rice perfectly, so I just make it myself and get the curry to take home.
You HAVE TO try out K_snowfood korean food truck 87-282 F Farrington Highway &, Keliikipi St, Waianae!!! Her shrimp is to DIE for-wayyy better than Jenny’s or Giovanni’s shrimp-Korean fusion style!!!
I prefer jasmine, but sticky is traditional because it meant for eating with your fingers. The rice acts like a base, and the stickiness is to hold the curry or whatever else you eat with that rice. A classic Thai/SE Asian dessert is mango-sticky rice.
She wasn’t feeling being on camera, so we respected her wishes😊 mama Kim had limited variety, but could also be the day we went? Recommend checking their website/social media👍🏼
Two things: you guys should do shots that include both of you more often, it's great. Secondly, WHERE WAS DAVONNE? I was promised some DaVonne, and then she wasn't in any of the segments. :(
Love That Lanie’s Lunch Wagon mix plate for $13.00?…WOW😳😳😳

How come the von was not in it
Mahalo James! She comes along but sometimes doesn’t feel like being filmed, so we respect her wishes🙌🏼
I have the same Nikes Slides, Soft and Comfy😁
Gotta love the slides🤙🏻
I'm not a sticky rice guy because there's usual a hint of sweetness. So I like my curry with plain white rice.
🤤🤤🤤

curry is thai and sticky rice is thai lol it goes

Still sayin “gooey” Santes. Is that right?
What happened to "Da Von," she disappeared? 😢
She felt under the weather later that day 😞
You must have to grow up with it in order to eat raw fish. I can't imagine eating raw meat.
We LOVE you guys but...Felix, you sucking the food off your fork is gross!! Wrap your lips around your utensils and close your mouth! Please! ❤
