Whitney truly knew how dark the entertainment industry is. She knew world fame like Michael did which was rare. I think thats definitely one reason they were friends.

1:18 she emphasizes that her mental health is a more relevant issue than whether she does/doesn't do drugs. journalists, for sensationalism (and like politicians) are obsessed with the substance, not the reason for its use

Like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston had a rather striking speaking voice that was serene and soft, lilting towards whispery but not quite, only Whitney Houston's was also somewhat sultry, not like someone trying to sound sultry but, I dunno, like just naturally buttery or honey-filled or something. I can't quite put my finger on it, a certain _je ne sais quoi_ , as it were.

Why Oprah still trying to shame Whitney of her drug abuse instead of STFU and listening to Whitney.

Hier bei Oprah war sie kurz nachdem 'I Look to you' erschien, in diesem Gespräch wirkt alles furchtbar gekünstelt.
Dann kam 'Saving all my love for you' bei Letterman - besser geht es nicht!
    Ich vermisse sie!

It's funny Whitney Houston refers to him as "that young man" here. He was 5 years older than her and famous way before here, a decade, pushing two, meaning in all respects, she would've seen him as older, so I can't figure out why, in her perspective, she would see him as "that young man" in 2009. That's something someone who saw themselves as someone's elder would say. I mean, I'm not denying she said it. She said it, obviously. I just think it's a bit of an odd thing for her to say is all. A notable curiosity.🤔

I don't believe she was that close to Michael like she's saying she's playing it up to Oprah ....yes they hung out in 1989 at his ranch and took some pics with Robyn Crawford and Whitney . And they posed for photos at the award shows ..But many music folks do it don't mean they are buddies. She's just a fan like everyone was of Michael . Michael was a fan and friend of a lot of female singers but wasn't close to any. He saw them as competition..yes Michael invited her to the 2001 anniversary show but he invited many other singers and some who couldn't make it like Barbara Diana and Mariah. Diana Ross who he was closest to was a female singer but that was when he was growing up till after We Our The World it was never the same .. Whitney was hood with money who Clive and Cissy were trying to make into a classy person but she wasn't ..
