Couldn't find many decent videos of an install of the borla atak for an 18 2.7l F150. Thankfully stumbled upon yours and was able to figure it out in my garage from the floor. Great video. My biggest struggle was figuring out the hangers but you explained it perfectly.
IMHO the Borla ATAK is the way to go! I’ve been running that on my Gen 2 Raptor for almost a year and it never gets old hearing the high performance engine instantly announce itself and turbos whine so good at idle that I’ve had numerous people ask me if I had a turbo diesel in it. Having said that it’s not for everyone, hence the S-type.
Sounds nice, nice job Brian. Does the dealership say anything about you recording your videos during work? Lol do they pay you per job or how long it takes you?
@@charleshenson4183 Its actually the exact opposite. The V6 with just a tune is insane. It has tons of potential. A V8 can be supercharged but you're talking a LOT of money.

Hey Pipsburgh Views love the channel and all the videos! Would adding an aftermarket exhaust like the borla atak to my 2018 F-150 5.0L void the warranty?

@pipsburgh views which between the Atak and s-type would you pick for the 5.0? I just recently traded in my STI with straight pipe turbo back exhaust for this supercrew with 6.5 bed F-150.
I have had a few STIs myself. They both sound good but the Atak is much louder, probably even louder than the STI. I never thought I would say this but I would go S-type at least for my wife and kids sake.
Preparation is everything. Fantastic install Brian. It sounds great. Will this and the previous air intake system work with a 2019 F150 Limited. I have dual exhaust but no rumble.
No you'll need an exhaust for the raptor. The intake will fit but will require you to lengthen some wiring. Since folks get nervous cutting up wiring on a new high $ truck, you may want to also buy an intake setup for a raptor as well. I took a Roush intake I had on an old 2.7 eco & made it fit my old 18 raptor so I know it can work, but I had a nervous moment lengthening the wiring as one wire was the same color as another in the bundle & only one was the right one so that took some doing. Nothing like thrashing on a new $70,000+ truck to get the blood flowing lol.
Does your left side (drivers) tailpipe hit the part of your frame under your bumper at all? Just installed mine and it hits seemingly because of the hangar installed on the leaf spring bracket - there is 1" of free play in the rubber isolator. This allows the tailpipe to sway a little bit.
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Same...I just adjusted and it fits much better/ has more clearance. Still has free play within the hangar/rubber isolator though... so I took heat resistant tape and wrapped it around a few times so the rubber piece won't move back and forth 👍
Hey if you could answer it would be amazing. I’m currently in college studying electrical engineering but I don’t wanna study this anymore I really love cars and see a future with cars and I was wondering where I could start my career working with cars. Where can I go to get a job? Local shops ? Dealerships like Honda, Toyota ext.... if anyone could answer I would greatly appreciated it!
They are different ways to start. You can talk to your local dealerships and see if they have an apprentice program. You can get a job at a oil change place to get some experience or you can go to a trade school. Your electrical background is a plus, I would talk to a Tesla dealer if there is one near you.
Made my 18 raptor sound & look this good for $100. I didn't get the cool hat but I already had one so I'm good. This exhaust is also available in a passenger side exit, like the factory configuration. I don't think there's a major price difference between the two. I'm guessing most people, including myself, will probably opt for the dual outlet system, though.
