avaa - that calm, funny, and okay-with-being-boring aspect that runs through faye webster’s albums is what has made her one of my favorites ever - agreed across the board. perfect beach + reading music imo
i always put on faye webster when I'm anxious. It's like the music tells me that i'm in no rush and that it will wait for me. Like talking a walk with someone who is in no rush at all. Very calming
I watched the ContraPoints Twilight video before this review and actually started thinking about it in relation to "But Not Kiss", so I was so delighted when you brought it up later in the video! :)
love the neil young comparisons. between this album and your wallsocket analysis i appreciate the parallels you draw. i’m from the same city he’s from. love from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada❤
I disagree with you on the centrepiece of the album I think it’s “Lifetime” It’s quintessential Faye Webster and with how long it is It forces you to think about what lifetime might mean to you
I grew up around Faye. Complete trust fund kid who is painfully shallow. Her parents have connections and that’s how she got a career. Really don’t look into this too much
When I'm on my ADHD brain-fog headspace, Faye Webster music feels like the only thing that operates at my burnt-out pace. Soooo comforting

Her last album was good haven’t given the new one a listen yet but might after this review?
Absolutely should. Sounds so good turned up just driving on a sunny day with the windows down
I wouldn’t say the album is boring but I get the point. It sounds lazy, laid back, deceptively simple. AVAA YEAH!

I do, but the album also calls for it.
